This place is pretty cool because it has a large space for seating, a really large bar, and plenty of outdoor seats as well. The dining room area is very large and the bar is pretty big but the outside area to me takes the cake. They have chairs and loungers and a fire pit, I think. It's really clutch if it's a really nice day out. The last time I went outside at the bar and ordered a couple of bites. The bartender was super cool, polite, no issue with the service. Garlic knots - so these came and I wasn't actually expecting them but they were good. Here, the last time I was there I wasn't offering any garlic knots so I didn't know that they gave these as an appetizer bread. They came with a good sauce and they were very buttery and glazed with butter and cheese. They weren't as pull-apart tender as I would have liked but they still had a really good flavor to them. Calamari - I ordered the calamari as well. I've actually had it before and it was really good so I went back for it. It comes with a really good marinara sauce that has plenty of chunks of tomato in it. The calamari itself is very good and savory and it comes plentiful. You may not even necessarily eat the sauce because it's pretty seasoned. Cheese sticks - I guess I wouldn't call these cheese sticks because they're more like triangles lol but they are really good. Deep-fried cheese triangles, they didn't miss. It had the typical issues you have when you fry something but at the same time they were good and had a really good cheese pull. I would definitely order these again. They came only in three but they were very nice sized. Overall I had a good experience. Again this is not my first time going but I would actually go back and try food because honestly I've only tried appetizers. I haven't actually tried dinner lol but I've had a really good experience every time I've been.

Because I didn't want to be unfair, I tasted one before saying anything -- my sense of smell wasn't the problem. I sent them back. A second dozen was brought out with assurances that these were fresh. They were not. Identical smell, identical film. I tasted one of those too, for the same reason. Identical result. At that point the kitchen tried to make things right by sending out fried oysters, apparently to prove the product was fine. The smell of old fish coming off that plate was overwhelming before it reached the table. I didn't eat it. I left dinner having consumed a few fries off my dinner partner's plate, and we went home and ate there. I want to be fair: the staff were pleasant and clearly trying to recover the situation. But the recovery was the wrong one. When a customer sends back raw shellfish because it smells spoiled and confirms it by taste, the answer is to pull the oysters from service and check the rest of the batch -- not to plate a second dozen from the same source, and certainly not to fry them and send them back out. Spoiled raw shellfish is a genuine health risk, and it was served to me twice. One more observation. At 7pm on a Friday night, we were the only guests in the entire dining room. An empty room and product this far past its prime tend to be related problems. The one unqualified bright spot (hence 2 stars vs one): the guitarist. He was genuinely excellent -- great player, great song selection, and the only reason the evening wasn't a total loss. I hope he finds a venue that matches the quality he's bringing. I won't be back, and I'd skip the raw bar here entirely.

A little tight inside because these converted homes are limited in space, so you have to wind between tables to get to yours. Two large tables of rowdy groups made for a louder vibe than anticipated, but once they left, it was much less noisy in the small space. They do have outdoor seating but the weather was iffy so I opted for inside. Started with some Gouda fritters. Dinner was fish tacos and the burratta chicken sandwich.
