Love this place! I have been a fan and follower since his first restaurant, Hills Coffee Shop, was open outside of the town of Zephyrhills! The owners, Kurt and Suzy are the kindest and most hard working people I know. Now this diner is small, so don't be surprised to be sat with another party, but the atmosphere is all about family. The diner is decked out in John Wayne merchandise which have been kindly gifted to him throughout all the years! The name of the restaurant "two minutes" comes from Kurt's saying to every waiting guest to be sat at his prior popular Hills restaurant/coffee shop. My girlfriend and I, stopped by this place after she went sky diving down the road. The main guy suggested it, stating they had great food. We were not disappointed! Not only was the food great and servers nice. The food came out fast! Like super fast! We were so pleasantly surprised! She ordered a combo (she can't remember the name ) and her food came out beautiful! (Picture attached). I ordered the biscuits and gravy along with sides of bacon. You want to step back in time to the 70's? This is your place. I stopped in with two other friends after a day of kayaking on the Hillsborough River. It was 4:30 PM on a Saturday and the restaurant was packed, we were seated fairly quickly, with a guy name Scotty. We just took over his table and he was very gracious and even took a picture with us. I had a grilled cheese sandwich with french fries and an unsweetened tea for a whopping $4.49. My friend had the BLT with a bag of chips and a drink same price. My other friend had chicken fried steak with the salad bar, mashed potatoes, and peas straight out of the can. Our table mate, Scotty, had a T-bone steak with french fries and a drink for 5.99. The food was absolutely delicious for the three of us girls to eat, it was under $17. We stopped for breakfast. It was really good! We both had the Suzy, and orange juice. We got our food really fast, and our server was very attentive. Most of the customers seemed to be regulars, as she knew them by name, and asked about family. Im not sure how long this place has been here, but I'd say a few decades. It is very dated, so if you want a fancy, shiny place to eat, keep looking. But if an old country nook, with a few flies buzzing around, is cool with you, then stop & try it! I brought my elderly father here for breakfast. The food was great. But as our sever came back to clear our plates, she made a negative comment about how much food my Dad had eaten, then she leaned over to him and called him a pig. I heard it and so did our table companions. My Dad is 89 years old and thank goodness, still has a healthy appetite. That doesn't make him a pig. Maybe she thought it was funny, but we didn't and neither did the people who heard it. We won't be back. read more

Not sure why so many good reviews...went there yesterday because we were craving burgers and was very unimpressed. Ordered a patty melt with onion rings, was never asked what type of bread I would like so was disappointed when it came out on "toasted rye" (doesn't say this on the menu) (which I detest). Asked waitress to take it back and put it on white or sour dough, brought it back on white "toast". Expected it to be buttered and grilled but it wasn't :( The patties were also tasteless and extremely dry. Onion rings were..just ok! Hubby ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries, waitress asked what he wanted on it and he said "the works" (expecting to get pretty much everything you would basically put on a burger. What he got was a burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, (questionable items include black olives, sweet banana peppers and a large slice of green pepper)...just weird. He could of pulled the whole mess of the burger, put in a bowl with ranch dressing and some croutons and made a salad. Hubby asked for extra napkins because it greasy and dripping everywhere, he was ignored. So if you have NO TASTES BUDS and are broke and starving, have it a go but if you want a decent meal I'd go elsewhere!!!!!!! read more

Loved this place. It felt like a real American diner. We were a large party (6 people) on a Saturday morning, but in order to get a seat we needed to share. Sat with an older couple just out for breakfast..it's that kind of a place. When we arrived, around 10.30 am (ish) the place was packed - such is its popularity. By 11.30 or so, it was almost deserted, so if you want to avoid the morning crush, then avoid the morning! Food was good - nothing special, but it was breakfast - diner style. We only had eggs, bacon etc. so I can't really comment on the variety of the food/menu. The entertainment was two-fold: 1. the décor...if you like John Wayne, then this is the place for you...every wall was covered with pictures, memorabilia, you name it. All with John Wayne! Not sure why..in the back end of Florida...but hey, it worked 2. Watching the waitresses - all Asian - interact with the customers. You get a good serving of food at a good price. Service could be better but it's not the worst place in zephyrhills area. Coffee is surprisingly good. French toast was delicious. Sausage was good and so whee my eggs. I have yet to try this place for lunch but the menu had multiple items that looked and sounded good. This is a great place to eat for an inexpensive price. The food is good . Every time we have eaten here the place is full. There seem to be a lot of frequent customers here. Everyone including the customers are so nice and friendly. We will keep eating here. Would recommend. This is an area stop, most people wouldn't stop unless they knew about it. So, give it a try.
