It's hard to take time off work for appointments, so this is a super convenient way to get an eye exam and buy lenses. The staff was very professional and the bus itself was impressive. I did purchase glasses on the bus, which came in the mail later. I was having issues with the lenses popping out and brought them to Lens Crafters. Unfortunately the lenses were cut slightly too small for the frames, so Lens Crafters were able to tighten the frames a bit, but not completely fix the problem. I contacted 2020 about this and never heard back. The glasses have been OK since my Lens Crafters visit. I wish there was a way to get glasses adjusted through 2020, as I feel bad visiting competitors for their free repairs. read more

My 2020 experience was fantastic. I had not had an eye exam in over 5 years, because I didn't feel I needed one and never wanted to go out of my way to get one. When I heard 2020 would be on-site at my company, the convenience of scheduling an exam was too good to pass up. The exam fit perfectly into my work day, and I didn't have to worry about making an appointment and struggling to get to it like I would a normal eye exam or doctor's visit. 2020 Onsite came to my work and I got a much needed eye exam. The mobile unit was a little narrow, but had a decent selection of frames. I had to wait about 20 to 30 minutes from my scheduled appointment time to actually see the optometrist. I selected some frames from the inventory on hand and was sold on the more expensive lenses. I was told that the glasses would arrive in the mail in about 5 to 7 days. Twelve days passed and the glasses had not arrived. I contacted 2020 and was told that my lenses had failed inspection and were now in "edging". It would have been nice if the company had reached out to me with that information rather than me having to pester them for it. When the glasses arrived they were perfect. I really like the glasses and I get a lot of compliments on them. Overall, a decent experience with a few issues. read more

Our employees loved having the van come right to our building and provide eye exams. It's a fully equipped vision van! I dealt with the staff setting up the visits to our other location as well and they were energetic, excited to be in business and ready to serve. We have added them to our list of wellness vendors! Overall, a great and convenient service! This pop-up came to my work and I was able to pick a time that worked with my schedule and attend an eye appointment. Life can get so busy sometimes and it's amazing that they come to you! The wait time was a bit longer since there was only one doctor and a lot of people, but the vehicle, doctor and staff were really nice and it was very clean. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 was that the truck was shaking a bit as people were coming in and out of it when I was in my exam which made it hard to focus on the cue cards that I was being asked to say if my vision was better with one or the other, but the rest was great service. Also, the person doing the calculations on my contacts low balled the estimate, but he did his best. Mine are pretty expensive and and a bit complicated. read more

I received the wrong prescription after waiting for my glasses for almost two weeks. A total inconvenience because it defeated the purpose of me going to them. I sent the glasses back. Then after I was told that my insurance would be contacted so that they can adjust it so that I can get glasses somewhere else before 2017 was up, I go to SEE to get my eye exam and what do you know.....they never contacted my insurance and I couldn't get glasses. I've emailed them twice and still no response. Horrible service! read more

Absolutely terrible experience. I've been getting eye exams for 40 years, but 2020 On-site couldn't seem to come up with a prescription that resulted in anything other than incredibly blurry vision. They kept me waiting for a very long time, they were extremely disorganized, and they seemed flummoxed by my very simple prescription. As far as convenient I give it 4 stars... but when I registered I specifically stated I did not want a contact lens renewal fitting, just an eye exam... which is covered by my insurance with a $10 co-pay, so I get there & everything goes pretty quickly. The doctor asks if I was wearing contacts I replied yes & he instructed me to remove them for the exam.. then after he tells me to put them back in so he can make sure everything is fine... I then get back to the front to pay which I'm assuming would be $10 as stated... and I'm then told its $49. which clearly means they didn't review my registration form & NEVER mentioned what services they were taking upon themselves to do... Like others, the hassle of scheduling an appointment, driving to the eye place, getting rebuked for waiting so long to schedule an appointment, and then getting pressured into some overpriced frames has made me hesitant to even bother with an eye exam for the past few years. I'm glad my building invited 2020 to set up camp today. Everyone was really friendly; they did a great job working out my insurance coverage, and the whole process took about 15 minutes. No dilation unless they see an issue with your eyes using their hi-tech camera. The doctors seem to be pretty young, but that's probably because this is kind of cutting edge approach to eye care. I can't speak to purchasing new glasses because I'd rather take a little more time and shop around but there were no high pressure sales tactics and they automatically send you your prescription. I highly recommend this service if they stop by your place of business. read more

The experience on the truck was awesome. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the truck was clean and more spacious than I had expected! It was very convenient to be able to go to the eye doctor during my lunch break at work. I decided to order frames from 2020 onsite, since I found ones that I liked, and had such a great experience on board. After I spoke with someone over the phone to place an order for frames, I was told I'd receive my new frames within 10 business days. About 3 weeks later, I hadn't received my glasses or heard any follow up on a delay. I emailed 2020 on site optometry asking about the delay, and received a response that I'd have an update soon. About 1.5 weeks later, I received my new glasses, but they were the wrong color. Everyone I had spoken with was friendly, but there was clearly a little bit of a disconnect in communication. Overall, I'd definitely visit 2020 on site again if they came back to my office, but would consider ordering frames elsewhere. read more

Very friendly staff and absolutely loved the convenience of 2020 coming to my company's office. The process was super easy to book an appointment and/or change times. Upon arrival, I loved how friendly the staff were, how clean the truck was, and how smoothly the exam went. Ordering contacts in store was also very efficient and they came as expected and arrived on time. I didn't order glasses because they were far more expensive when compared to local competitors (ie. warby parker). However, contacts were the same costs. Contacts arrived on time. If they're near your office, I highly recommend going with them. Only thing is just the higher cost for lenses and frames. Otherwise, great experience! read more

I had been dragging my feet on getting an eye exam despite having a pair of glasses that I knew had an old prescription. I just never seemed to find the time to set up and go to an exam during the workday. Then I got an email from my company's HR representative about the 2020 bus being onsite. I was skeptical about what kind of exam I'd get in a bus, but couldn't pass up the quick and easy opportunity! The experience was great - friendly staff, timely service, and clean facilities. I scheduled an eye appointment with 2020 on a whim when I received an email from my company about them, and I'm so glad that I did. It was incredibly convenient and only took about 30 min total out of my day. Additionally, the mobile clinic felt like you were in an upscale building the second you stepped in, and the staff was incredibly helpful and kind. It's pretty neat that 2020 provides an onsite mobile doctor's office. I was pleasantly surprised by how well equipped the van was. I was very late for my appointment, but I still got to see the optometrist within 10 mins; my entire visit took maybe 20mins. The only down side was that I was charged $40 for co-pay instead of $15. I realized this after I got home, gave them a call and they resolved it within a week. Overall, great experience. read more

No high pressure sales tactics, understood the benefits I had available and encouraged me to use them. I have had bad experiences with opticians in the past, not running things through my benefits and trying to charge me $380 when I only should have paid $50! I just received a denial from my insurance company. It seems that 2020 ONSITE sent the claim in over a year late. I have tried to call them but they are never in the office (or no one answers the phone). I have left messages but they do not return calls. They are a definite ZERO on my list. My company had them come and perform services on site and this is the way they treated me as a customer. Oh, FYI they lost my first set of glasses and it took an extra month to get them to get a set to me. In the end I got the glasses but definitely punished for using them . I payed $759 cash to them and insurance denied $759 because they submitted the claim very very late, Do not use this company. read more

I put off eye-exams, dental exams, physical exams as long as I possibly can. Like many people, I hate taking time off work to go to an appointment. Thankfully, 2020 On-site provides a remedy for this. Here's a 2 experience review coming at you. (I would skip to the 2018 if you're short on time) Summer 2017:I never got around to writing my first review. I was really skeptical about going in a mobile truck to get an eye exam but it turned out to be the best choice ever. I easily made an appointment online and upon the appointment, I was greeted by friendly staff. It was squeaky clean and well air-conditioned . It seems like there are usually 2 people out in the front (Albert S. was one of the staff members there). They were great. They walked my friend and I through the process and explained things in full details. When it came to the exam, Dr. Pena was fantastic! I usually dread eye exams cause my vision always gets worse (I was a -6.00 -6.55 ish so my vision is pretty bad in comparison to other people my age). I hate reading lines and not being to read that much. Dr. Pena is really non-judgmental , which is awesome. (Sometimes I feel like docs will be like "Uh you can't read it at all?" and I hate that). The exam was quick, but super efficient. He did not make me feel rushed and i felt like he spoke to me in terminology that was easy for ANY patient to understand. Albert then helped me with ordering new contacts as well as new glasses (he was really helpful in explaining what would be covered and costs and I liked that I didn't feel like they were trying to "sell" me more stuff that I didn't need). Immediately after, I got the receipts emailed to me. After a few weeks, the glasses came earlier than expected (i am going to say 4 weeks instead of the expected 6 weeks) but when I opened the package, I had received the frame with the "dummy" store lens and not my prescription lenses. I was confused and emailed the 2020 concierge who helped me get a shipping label to ship it back to the lab and after another few weeks, the frame came back with the lens. It was perfect. (They do not do tracking labels FYI) Summer 2018: I was so excited to see that 2020 was back again at our work and given that the first experience was so awesome, I decided to continue my "self-care" motivation and do it again. I also wanted a back-up pair of glasses in case I lost my current ones. This time I had Liz and Jeanette in the front who were great. I was super happy to see Dr. Pena again and felt immediately at ease. Dr. Sarma was also great. Again, everything was just so easy and quick. I picked out new frames and paid and went back to work. This time, i got the delivery in 2 weeks (super quick). The frame was perfect but when I looked at the lenses, I'm pretty sure a few curse words came out. They were incredibly thick (I know I'm pretty blind but I'm not trying to look it). Although it was partially my fault that I assumed they would have ordered thinner lenses and didn't double check, I was shocked how bad they looked. Luckily 2020 was back again the next week so I had emailed the concierge to ask what I should do. Initially I was told that my insurance would not cover thinner lenses but they could try to shave it off. Well I thought "Might as well try" but knew if I really didn't like them, I would have tried to get them refunded. The concierge then told me that I could bring it to the 2020 onsite truck to drop them off. Luckily, Albert Santiago (staff who helped me on the first visit) was working that day. I told him the situation and brought him the email from the concierge. After looking a few things up, he said "You're all set" and I literally was like "What? Seriously?" He said he could get the situation fixed with no extra cost. I didn't have to provide anything at all... and I literally just got the glasses back today in the mail. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!! Albert - YOU SAVED THE DAY!! hopes for improvement in the future: being able to track online where the glasses are /when they are shipped Otherwise, I definitely would recommend to all my co-workers and friends. This place is awesome. I will come back here every year until they stop coming. ( Now...if they only they could make PCP/dental visits the same way, I'd be in tip-top shape!) read more

I was very excited to see that my office had the option of using 2020 On-site as an option for an eye appointment as I have yet to find an eye doctor in this city. This service couldn't have been more easy or convenient. I signed up online and had my appointment booked a month or so out. On the day of, I simply walked outside and the van was waiting for me. The entire process was very smooth and the doctor I worked with seemed very knowledgeable and genuinely interested in making sure he provided me with the best options for care. I think the entire process took less than 20 minutes so I was in and out and back to work! Of course they tried to sell me glasses while I was there and so I took a quick look, but it didn't appear as though they had many frames for a larger face/head shape. I have quite the large noggin, so I need a larger pair of frames with preferably a thicker design. Almost all of the glasses on the bus were very small or flimsy looking and definitely would not have worked for my face. Just a little diversity is all I'm looking for! Also, I was charged for my visit and then was notified a couple days later that they actually overcharged me and the visit should have been free. No big deal, but I had to call the office and wait on hold and wait and wait for someone to finally pick up for them to initiate the refund. I then waited over a week and no refund back to my account. I call them again and it had not gone through, yet they never contacted me to tell me so? They sent it through again and a few days later it was back in my account. Overall not a terrible thing, just kind of frustrating that the right thing wasn't done in the first place. I will certainly continue to use 2020 as long as they keep coming to my company! read more

There are some small areas for improvement, but overall I would definitely return to 2020 onsite or recommend them to a friend. The first time I visited, I tried to just walk in since I missed the opportunity to schedule an appointment online. They were friendly but weren't able to fit me in. Next time they came to my workplace, they sent me an email in advance so I could schedule an appointment right away. They were willing to check in advance whether they accepted my insurance (they did). The van itself is a little small but I felt the exam was very thorough. Originally I intended to just get my updated prescription and go on my way, which they made very easy by automatically emailing all my prescription information (no awkward convos needed). But, the fellow at the counter was so nice that I decided to look for a pair of frames there. The selection is a bit small but seemed well curated. Of course I was by myself, but they gave me some good feedback and I was able to choose some frames there. I had no problems with the glasses, they arrived promptly to my home in the mail. It would be nice if they offered a brief follow up to check the fit, but this is just nitpicking. I was able to get better service here than your normal LensCrafters with only about 30 minutes taken out of my day. read more
