My mother reserved a table for six, and while we were seated promptly upon arrival, unfortunately, the positive experience ended there. After being seated, our table went unnoticed for approximately 15 minutes despite multiple staff members passing by. When I approached a staff member with a black bun in her hair to ask for assistance, I was asked, "Were you seated by a staff member, or did you seat yourself?" After explaining that we had a reservation and had been seated, I was told, "Someone will be right there." It was another five minutes before our server came to the table. When he attempted to walk away after taking our drink orders, we had to stop him to place our food order as well. Our drinks then took an additional 20 minutes to arrive. They were only brought out after I asked a passing bartender for assistance, who then had to locate our server and remind him that our table had not received our drinks. Unfortunately, the issues continued with the food. I was extremely disappointed to learn that the fried calamari is made with imitation squid, and the quality of the remaining dishes was unacceptable. My quesadilla appeared to have been microwaved, resulting in one half being cold while the other half was excessively hot. My mother's flautas were soggy, falling apart, and not served at an acceptable standard. Additionally, we requested waters from our server three separate times, and they were never brought to our table, as well as refills of the drinks we currently had were never offered. What was most disappointing was seeing other tables that were seated after us receive attentive service while our table was repeatedly overlooked. I would appreciate clarification regarding what happened during our visit and how this situation will be addressed moving forward. read more

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, Mr. Mojito is not the place. This is an Mexican American restaurant. I will say that this place is excellent for drinks and appetizers. They have a huge variety of small eats and a huge bar with many selections, like garlic fries, hummus, fried zuchinni, nacho fries, etc. They also have happy hour prices for beers at $5.50 and margaritas for $7.50 QUESO DIP: It was pretty good. It had pieces of churizo in it and it was melted on a skillet. A bit salty though. And it was $17 which I thought was a bit steep. SHREDDED BEEF ENCHILIDAS: Nothing to complain about the dish, it was pretty standard. I think it lacked some of the authentic tastes. Perhaps its the tortilla they used or the type of chili sauce they used for the enchilada. I think American restaurants used more of a tex-mex variation of the sauce. Service was painfully slow. It wasn't even busy! We went after school around 330 pm and there was barely anyone there, yet we kept losing our waitress. I think they can do a better job at making the place smell better. We started with the fried cauliflowers and the bacon wrapped shrimps which were both very good starters . First visit today, and I picked this spot specifically because Yelp said it was pet-friendly with a patio. Perfect for bringing my pup along for a little service dog training session she's been in training since 4 months old, and if you know service dogs, you know that training never really ends. I figured we could practice with a few distractions in a mellow setting. When I rolled up, the place was super quiet. Maybe 8 tables total in the whole restaurant, and only about 4 out on the patio. It took several minutes for anyone to come up front (which caught me off guard). The woman who greeted me seemed like she was just starting her shift not sure she had officially clocked in yet, but still appreciated that she helped me out. Since it was just me, I came in with low expectations just a Fourth of July drink and something small to tide me over. I ordered the signature mojito (jalapeño!) and the carnitas nachos off the happy hour menu. Both were just $8.50, which was a steal. Honestly, I came out here because Lake Cunningham canceled their fireworks, and traffic was light. But while I was sitting there, I saw a post about a drone show happening later unexpected bonus. The vibe here is super relaxed. TVs everywhere, so no matter where you sit, you'll catch whatever game or show is on which I actually liked. And let me say: that mojito? Not usually a big drinker, but wow. Beautiful presentation and legit delicious. Left me wondering why I ever gave up on cocktails. As for the nachos the plate came out blazing hot and stayed warm the whole time (props for that). They were more baked than I prefer, and I'll be honest, nachos are my benchmark test for any restaurant. Just like people test Bloody Marys to rate bartenders, I test nachos. These didn't hit the perfect 10, mostly because they were stingy on chips (odd, since most places pile them high), but the carnitas portion was solid. We were looking for a nearby sports bar that was playing the last Warriors game of the season and came across Mr. Mojitos. We've driven by this place countless amount of times but never had the opportunity to stop by for whatever reason. This was the best opportunity since we didn't have a lot of time and wanted to get a bite to eat while watching the game. We were seated right away. I was surprised to see the restaurant pretty empty. The outside bar had some people but indoors, there wasn't many people. Took around 5 minutes before we were greeted by a server even while being empty. Luckily, the server that came was a nice gentleman. While scanning the menu, I couldn't help but notice the premium prices on some of the items. We ordered guacamole, calamari and the fajita trio. For drinks, I ordered a 9oz Daou Cabernet and my wife ordered a Michelada. Our drinks were delivered first and noticed my wine was slightly under poured - I showed my wife to make sure I wasn't underestimating it. She agreed and if I had to guesstimate - it looked more like a 7.5-8oz pour. This brought back memories at 10 butchers where we had a similar situation. Rather than make a deal out of it, I decided to keep the day happy and just drink it. The guacamole was super fresh and delicious but the major issue was the portion size. For a $14+ app, I don't expect a bucket but I do hope for something slightly bigger. If you have a party of 3+, this will not be big enough to share. The calamari was similar regarding portion size. The squid was cooked perfectly, great flavors and chew. The breading was slightly off as it mimicked a chicken tender type of breading where it's slightly thicker with a tougher bite. With calamari, the best is when it's lightly breaded. The fajita trio was the star of the day. Came out hot and fresh. Chicken and steak was seasoned great and flavorful. The shrimp had a nice bite. It was accompanied by a good portion of veggies. I def recommend ordering this if you come here. Overall, had an okay experience. The promptness of the service with the lack of people there was a bit off. The food was good but their portion sizes need to be reevaluated. Their wine pours need to have more consistency. The service we got from our server was great. The venue was nice and open. Plenty of TVs to catch your favorite sports team - I think they need to have a section outdoors where they can turn the volume on, especially for the big games. Came here during the week while craving a burger. My boyfriend and I ordered a jalapeño burger and it hit the spot! Fries were also delicious and crispy! While service was a bit slow even though it didn't seem busy it wasn't too much of an issue. I had the strawberry Hawaiian Punch and my boyfriend had a blue moon. We were way too stuffed for dessert. It's rare to find a spot in or near the south bay that has two of my favorite cocktails (chocolate martini and strawberry lemon drop), but Mr. Mojito has it all! In fact they have a lot of versions and flavors of many of your typical cocktails, and they make them quite well. Even the classic chavela did not disappoint. I'd come back just for the drinks, but the food was tasty and satisfying too. Warm lightly seasoned tortilla chips and guacamole topped off with fresh pico de gallo, quesadilla filled with juicy delicious steak and shrimp and melted cheese, sizzling chicken fajita full of flavor, nicely grilled bell peppers and onions, choice of beans and fresh sides. Service was a bit slow this past Sunday night, but Jose was super friendly and welcoming. And so was the modern and spacious atmosphere. Except the food isn't over cooked, your bottle of tequila isn't running low and there are a lot more TV's to watch your sports team let you down. Horrible service! Place was not crowded and we were seated right away however no waiter came to our table for at least 15 minutes! We had to flag down a waitress to ask for service and even though she was serving the tables around us she had someone else come help us. The waiter finally came and took our order. Our drinks didn't come for another 15 minutes even tho the bar was empty. The waiter came to our table and said "your chips and salsa should be out soon" but we didn't order chips and salsa! Then the appetizer we did order finally came but the waiter had put 2 orders instead of 1. No one brought us utensils or napkins either and at this point we been there about 30-35 minutes. My friend had to get up and find someone to give us napkins. To end our already horrible night of service, the check finally came and the waiter took our cards and disappeared for about 10 minutes then reappeared and started seating people and taking their orders!! We were all just sitting there waiting for our cards and receipts!! The place was not even busy and there were several severs outside. Our server however was not very attentive. She came by to refill my husband's water once and when I asked for water I never received it. The food was fine and we didn't wait too long but Not once did the server stop to check on us or ask if we were ok. When we finally managed to flag someone down to get the cheque it took more than 10min just to get someone's attention. Eventually our server came out, took our credit card to closed the bill. It's a solid restaurant that I could see people who live nearby would frequent, but it was just ok. We sat at the the bar and it took the severs a little while to acknowledge us and take our order. That's fine. They were hustling around the bar. Mr. Mojitos comes across as a Mexican restaurant, no chips and salsa offered (unless ordered and paid for) bummer. Seems like a low cost item to get your drinkers to stick around. The menu was interesting. Half Mexican food, but also pizza, burgers and things like fettuccine Alfredo. Best thing we had were the super micheladas with shrimp. Good but Tequilas on Leigh still has that on lock. We ordered the sampler appetizer and sampler meal. Both were just ok. There's just something not authentic about the food and it took a while for it to come out. This is where complimentary chips and salsa would have been great. All in all it was a nice visit. Random drop by after checking out the marvelous Blossom Hill Petco. I appreciate the lengthy happy hour especially since it occurs every day. The small bites are definitely small. The coconut shrimp was phenomenal but a tease to only get 4 of them. I liked the margarita and wished it could have been blended instead of over the rocks. Went to Mr Mojito's the other night to meet up with a friend. Though this is not my favorite spot, he seems to love it. We met for Happy Hour and I had my first positive experience at this location. I got the Happy Hour Signature Mojito, flavored with Mango and it was fantastic. It was so good, I had to order another one. The chicken flautas was the best thing I have ordered from Mr. Mojitos. They tasted really good and I will order them again. We sat at the Bar, and our bartenders were great. They checked up on us and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. We ordered with a minute left on Happy Hour and unlike other places who try to waste time, they got our order in and made sure we got that happy hour price. Main dishes: sizzling chicken fajita $24.99, sizzling carne asada fajita $27.99, fish taco plate $17.99: meats were juicy. The sides of rice, beans etc were small portions. Tortillas broke apart on the fish tacos & accompanying coleslaw was mediocre. Got charged for additional tortillas...we weren't informed of this beforehand & there is no pricing for this on the menu.
