For entrees we ordered the Goat Biryani and Goat Vindaloo, both were amazing! The goat biryani had so much flavor! Can't wait to try this dish again! Upon entering, we were greeted warmly and taken to a beautiful table. From the music, to the aromas, to the lighting, the ambience was deeply alluring and memorable. The appetizers, especially the Chicken 65, were phenomenal. We tried the Saffron Chicken Koorma (wow!), the Palak Paneer, the Vegetable Biriyani, the Daal Makhani, and both the Pashawri Naan and spicy naan--everything was flavorful, fresh, perfectly seasoned, and delightful. Yes, we'll have days of leftovers but that's a welcome treat!! Oh, and dessert... the only room we had left was in the crawl spaces of our bellies...just enough for Gulab Jamun and rice pudding. Slam Dunk!! Doug, our server, was attentive, helpful, kind --simply outstanding. Bottom line: this is the best Indian food EVER, hands down. And trust me, my husband and I have tried A LOT of Indian restaurants all over the US. Don't even believe any reviews lower than a five. We went to 21 Spices to celebrate my husband's birthday. Unfortunately the AC was not working. It was very hot. The service was very good by the waitress but the assistance brought us still water when we asked for Sparkling. She was a bit confused. Our friends never had Indian Food before and they really enjoyed their meals. The Samosas were delicious and the garlic Naan was very good. They plan to go back when family comes to visit. Unfortunately I did not get pictures of the food. We were a party of 10 and I didn't know half the people at the table so I was uncomfortable taking the shots. The ambience is wonderful. There is a nice bar in the back with great service. We had a few cocktails and then went to the table. The service here was really good especially for such a large table. No glitches and everything came out hot. They bring out fresh papadam with chutney and other sauces. I loved all of them. For appetizers we got Samosas, a chicken kebab (don't recall name) and the Scallops. The black lentils and sauce around the scallops was devine. Next time I'm getting my own order of this. I will not share!!! Lol. For dinner I got Butter Chicken which was super flavourful. Others got Spicy Chicken Kadai, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Chops, Goat Masala, and the Grouper. It's truly hard to find anything wrong with Chef Asif's restaurant. The decor and color choices are excellent , the food was some of the best we've had, the servers we've had were just delightful. Then with all the accolades, why just 4 stars? For what ever reason, it's loud inside! Unless the server is next to you, it's truly difficult to hear. We had a wonderful dinner at 21 Spices. Lovely atmosphere, clean, and service was very attentive. They bring you some complimentary pappadam and dips right away. I had the salmon, which I had never ordered in an Indian restaurant before. I would go back for it immediately! A large piece of salmon sat atop a bed of roasted tomatoes, spinach and perfectly cooked asparagus. Served with a side of basmati rice, it was all topped with a delicious sauce which I scooped up with my scrumptious garlic naan. Here last night with friends, Gloria & Henry who love this food as much as I. The up-lighting outside upon entering and the colorful display of light is just beautiful. Inside the restaurant is equally as nice and attractive with the lighting and comfortable feeling no matter where you sit. From the moment you enter, everyone you encounter will warmly greet you and make you feel very comfortable. We sat in the middle of the restaurant no matter what side of the table you're on, always something attractive to look at, be it the lighting or decoration around you. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all this evening but was packed the night before. It's been like this the past two weeks we were told. Now that "season" will be in full swing, I know this place is going to be packed till May of next year. I'm already looking forward to returning here. Our server was Daniela C. and we mentioned to her from the outset that we all haven't seen each other in months and were in no rush to immediately order. She was always accommodating, very professional, attentive and courteous throughout. Helpful with the menu and it worked out for the 3 hours there. We certainly had enough to eat. Everything we had we enjoyed immensely. My pictures on site will make you hungry. The portions were very generous. A lot of people may complain that the prices are steep, but I didn't see that. But I did notice we may have ordered too much food. Upon my return, will share some dishes as it was more than enough. IMPORTANT: A word about if "too spicy". Before ordering be clear to the server how spicy you want the food. My friends fave appetizer they found for the first time was spicy. Had always been a non spicy appetizer. In that case we asked for a side of yogurt and that took the sting out of it. We like medium spicy but if you want mild or none, please let the server know. Ok, where do I start. The interior is nice. A lot of thought went into the interior. To be honest, it seems like thought only went into the interior and not so much on the food. The waiter we had was nice and friendly but not super familiar with the menu. We ordered butter chicken and veggies kofta. The butter chicken was not butter chicken. It was okay for whatever is was but not butter chicken. I asked our waiter to see if they maybe mixed up our order because what he got was off. The texture, the ingredients,the type of Chicken used,nothing about it was butter chicken. The waiter said maybe its from a different part in India?? Seriously haha that's the response as he proceeded to ask where I was from. I smiled and let it go. Another person came to check up and I asked him if what we received was actually butter chicken or did they mix up the order. This person said it was a fusion?! Haha not sure what that means either when it comes to butter chicken. I told him and I genuinely say this, that the name of the dish should be changed to something like red chicken or fusion Chicken. Butter chicken has a different taste profile and when u order that,you're expecting something in the ballpark. this was a different sport lol The veggie kofta was okay. it seemed the spices werent cooked long enough. You could taste raw spices in it. They need to be cooked together to get rid of that raw spice taste. Also had garlic naan which was extremely oily. So, the food was off and the service was questionable in their response to a complaint. Nothing really to rave about other then interior I assume but I can't eat that haha. There what stops me from going that often is the ambience.. By far THE BEST Indian food in Florida . Literally salivating at the thought of the Biriyani selection . I always order plenty so I can have a few meals the next day and after . Yes it's THAT GOOD ! The atmosphere is beautiful and absolutely very clean! Best part about this restaurant is that all the different dishes I tried had such a balance of spices each on its own .My recommended dishes are .. The Goat Biriyani , Chef Asif Biriyani, Punjabi dhal (yellow one ),saffron chicken Korma , chicken madras and vindaloo . I keep wanting to try new ones !!! Next time ! Really disappointed with our experience at 21 Spices. We are vegan and they have a separate vegan menu. Awesome. But even after ordering from the vegan menu, we were served dairy... not once but twice. Worse, ever since recovering from Covid, I've had an extreme intolerance to onions. We called this posh, highly acclaimed restaurant before driving an hour to it to make sure they could serve this dietary restriction. They, of course, said yes. When we arrived, we were sure to tell both the hostess and server about our vegan/onion restrictions. The manager even came over to ensure everything would arrive to our table both vegan and onion free. But when our food began to arrive to the table....it contained yogurt and onion aplenty. Such an intriguing concept for a restaurant. We read the Yelp review by Bob B and had to check it out! We went on a Friday night and were immediately sat at a booth in the bar. What a wonderful place! It was cozy and quiet. The bartender, Earl, took immediate notice of us and gave us service with with and many smiles. He creates the cocktails himself and I decided to try a few different ones that looked intriguing. All satisfied. He gave us great descriptions of the entrees that we were considering. I had Kohinoor of the Ocean - all grilled seafood in a sauce that was elegant. Rice was on the side and was rich. My spouse had the Chicken Tikka which was served on a hot plate with onions and peppers. Each bite was a delight. Not pictured was the dessert that Earl recommended, the bread pudding. Not your typical presentation but a crispy bread with pistachio ice cream that was laid on a rich pudding. This was topped with gold leaf. We were so eager that we devored it before we thought of taking the picture! A guitarist was playing and made the evening well rounded. I would only recommend that songs be played to enhance the cuisine style instead of the standard American classics. Many entrees have wines recommended as a pairing. There is an extensive wine list in addition to the creative cocktails. A great date night with plenty of food. I recommend not passing this one by! read more

I came here with my BFF the other night for dinner. She's raved about this place so much on how great the food is so I knew we had to do a pit stop on our girls trip. Not to completely shock anyone but... this was my first time trying Indian food. After having Chef Asif's food, I don't think any other Indian food will compare to his. The bar was set really high. An enjoyable dining experience. I have held out on coming to 21 spices for 2 years, simply because it was the only Indian restaurant in town. I absolutely love Indian food, and having had it at every level (gourmet, buffet, street/truck etc), I was afraid that if I didn't like it, I'm SOL/out of options in Naples. Happy to say that the food is satisfying overall. The decor/ambience of the environment is ornate/appeals to fine diners, with white tablecloths, porcelain tile accent walls, and large ornate lamps hung on high ceilings. We went straight for entrees: Saffron chicken korma - fragrant, delicious sauce that compliments basmati rice perfectly. Chicken was on the drier, grittier side than I was used to. Seafood special served in coconut/coconut curry - half a lobster tail, scallops, and salmon included, sauce was heavy on the cilantro. ***21 Spices Lamb - the highlight of the meal! Best/juiciest/most tender lamb we've had in recent memory! An excellent dish worth the price! Naan is extra, but our kind server was able to substitute a couple of basmati rices for a free garlic naan which I am eternally grateful for. I struggle between 4 and 5 stars but settled on 4 because of pricing; I am used to amazing indian food in NYC, Orlando, and Miami, and for the same quality of food, the prices I'm used to is $12-$16 for popular dishes (chicken tikka, korma, biriyani) rather than $20+. So much hype around this restaurant that we had to drive an hour to try 21 Spices by Chef Asif. What a disappointment!! I did not expect such an underwhelming experience at this place; it was a big letdown. We went there yesterday for dinner and were immediately seated. The restaurant itself is designed really well from the decor to the color scheme throughout the restaurant everrythng was perfect. At first, no one came to take our order, but then a super host, Miguel, came, apologizing for the delay. Miguel is a star host/server. He knew the menu inside and out. He recommended we start with the Zaffron cocktail and the Taj beer. Both were exquisite. For the appetizers, we ordered - 1. Chicken 65 - this dish was exceptional. The chicken was succulent with well-balanced spices, and we truly enjoyed every bite of it. 2. Nawabi Paneer Tikka - Though the texture was on-point, the taste was not. It lacked spices and salt. It felt like eating unseasoned paneer tikka. 3. Galoti Lamb Kebab - how can this restaurant even serve a dish like this one? I have been to Lucknow and had the authentic galouti kebab. Even Bhatti Grill in New York City does an exceptional job with this dish, but 21 Spices ruined it. The word 'galouti' meaning "the thing that melts in the mouth," and that's what it does; galouti kebabs are so soft, they melt in the mouth. But, here, it did not melt in our mouth and was dry--a complete letdown. For the mains, we ordered - 1. Palak Paneer - this dish was really good, and we enjoyed it. 2. Butter chicken - I am appalled that they served us a butter chicken that is not even a butter chicken. The rich, creamy, velvety, and sweet texture/flavor was completely missing from this dish. It was nowhere near the authentic butter chicken I have been having for the last 30 years. 3. Dumpukht Goat Biryani - Great presentation but again lacking in flavors. What is the restaurant's problem with not adding salt to their dishes? It is called 21 Spices for a reason, you can add 100 spices if you want, but with less salt, you cannot bring all the spices together. 4. Garlic naan - Super oily!! I don't know why the need to dip this beautiful fluffy naan in oil. 5. Plain naan - One cannot call a Persian-style tandoori roti a naan. It was like eating the thick Persian tandoori roti. It lacked the stretchy texture of an authentic naan. Lastly, for the desserts we got - 1. Gold leaf shahi tukda - this was exquisite. I was in sweet heaven; it was that good. 2. Mango ice cream - when one asks for ice cream, please serve what they asked. No need to add artificial syrups on top. The syrup made it taste awful that my husband had one bite and did not even care for the other. Miguel's hospitality was great but the food was a big letdown. Not going back for sure. read more

Came here for the first time tonight. Staff were great but the food was AMAZING!! Such great flavors. Too many things to taste in one night - difficult decisions were made for our dinner tonight! Samosas, mini lamb chops(!), sag aloo, chicken tikka masala, naan and rice! And the best thing is we have some left for lunch tomorrow!! If you haven't been - GO now! Amazing!!!! Originally from Chicago and currently living in Orlando; there are tons of Indian restaurants. However, none of them compare to Chef Asif's restaurant. We ordered Chicken 65, Samosas, 21 Spices Rack of Lamb, Chicken Tikka(Tandoor), Chicken Biryani, and Garlic Naan. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The Samosas were delectable and the flavors created a party in your mouth. My personal favorites were the Biryani and Rack of Lamb. I am an aspiring chef that wants to open a food truck. What an awesome restaurant! From the food to the decor (even the bathrooms are cool) down to the man himself...Chef Asif! This restaurant is a must try! If you are anywhere within a 2 hour drive of Naples I highly recommend checking it out, you won't be disappointed. Chef Asif is so passionate about food/cooking and it shows with every bite. Every item we ordered was fantastic and unique. The menu is a perfect blend of traditional Indian cuisine mixed with Chef Asif's unique modern twist. First time at 21 spices...the host acted weird when we arrived even though we had reservations. Finally got our table with friends but our server never showed for another 15 minutes to take a drink order. When she arrived she acted like she was doing us a favor. I asked about the menu and she said everything was explained on it...wow, i knew we were in for an interesting evening! Salad was fresh and tasty. Our mains came and everything looked the same. I'd never had Indian food and a friend of mine told me about this place, and figured I would try it. From the moment you walk in, you smell all the aromas from the spices. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very pretty inside. We were seated near the wall area and the tables are a bit too close to each other, but comfortable. I suggest asking for seating in a table in the main dining area. Our waitress, Saray, was awesome. She went through each item on the menu and was so helpful and pleasant. I had the tamarind margarita, which was delicious. For dinner we ordered the chicken khorma and the chicken tikka masala. You have different spice levels to chose from and our waitress explained each level's intensity. The chicken super flavorful and moist, and the sauce was so tasty and creamy. As always, the service and ambience of 21 spices was enjoyable. However, I was usually disappointed with my entrée this time. This is probably my sixth time back to 21 spices. Our appetizer was enjoyable. I ordered the most expensive dish for my entrée. It was a seafood variety tandoori. I was looking for some clean and healthy. Mostly it was overcooked and dried out. it was covered in sauce that was so salty that my pallet couldn't enjoy more than one bite. I scraped it off and took a fork full of the salmon, but the smell turned me off before I put it into my mouth. My server recognize that I was dissatisfied and was extremely courteous and offered me something else . at that point, I said I would finish my rice and was not interested in anything further. My husband ordered something that he thought was pretty standard, but his butter chicken came with a deep brown sauce, and did not taste like he expected. I Appreciated the courtesy of not being billed for my dish as it was sent back uneaten. I don't think we will be back to give it another try . read more

I was excited to return to 21 spices, but the excitement didn't last that long. I ordered the tomato soup, not remembering I'd had it just about the year ago. It's not as flavorful as a description would suggest, it's just a middle of the road, thick tomato soup. More importantly, I got their take on the mali kofta and ordered it spicy. It had a little bit of heat, but it also had a bitter flavor to it. I don't know what could cause that. Our server kindly took it off the bill when she saw I'd barely touched it. My mom ordered the chicken tikka massala, mild, but their version of mild was pretty bland. Not flavorful and lacking heat, but lacking both flavor and heat. The other big problem with this place is the price. Its upscale Indian, but given the cost of chickpeas and potatoes, I found the portions to be lacking. $18 for a vegetarian dish is very steep. Additionally it's borderline offensive to sell people one piece of naan for $5. There should at least be 2 pieces per serving. If the shame that this place isn't a little better. This particular corner of the world screams for diversity, and its population and its restaurants. I'm fortunate to live in Chicago where I can get Indian food for a reasonable price any day of the week in any number of places along with just about everything else from Ethiopian to Peruvian. Naples needs this place, so I hope they can find a way to improve the quality and lower the price. read more

I went one night to have some drinks at the bar, and the bartender shouted because he said a 5 dollar tip for one drink wasn't enough, well Idk but I wouldn't go to a place that treat people like this. Hopefully you get tippers giving you 20 dollars tip for one smoothie drink. :) read more

We had ordered Nawabi panner tikka the presentation of the dish was very nice but the quantity was less, nizami kofte and aloo gobi was the most delicious entrees. This is the one restaurant we make sure to visit every year when we are down in Naples. Some of the best Indian fine dining in the states, and fantastic cocktails to boot! The one drawback this time was the service, which has slipped from previous visits. We were not brought papadam, even though the other tables got them. The food , me u and ambience are interesting. Very different from the other Indian restaurants I visited. They have someone to serenade with a guitar (atleast on Saturday). The place is neat and tidy , bar tender friendly Earl with a good range of pairing vines and other spirits to ease you into the variety of 21 spices. The family dining area is has nicely arranged tables spaced out well . I enjoy trying lamb in different places, because if they can get that cooked right usually everything else on the meat menu should be good. Was tender and had the spicy flavors of roghan Josh. The naan was soft and went well along with the basmati rice which was sized appropriately. My friend and I who have dined here many times were completely disgusted with our experience last night. We decided to eat at the bar. Huge mistake! It took the bartender who was nowhere to be found 15 minutes to take our drink order. Mind you, it was a very quiet Sunday evening around 7pm. When the bartender took our drink order we also placed a food order of 5 different small dishes. It took him an additional 10 minutes to make our drinks and then 45 minutes went by and not one dish came out. We decided to cancel our food order and just pay the drink bill. At one point we noticed the chef come out and talk to some customers at the other end of the bar. There is no valid reason for this unacceptable service since the chef was even on the premises!
