Came to a busy Tommy Bahama on a Saturday evening in season with a reservation. We were a little early (15 minutes) and the hostess offered us a high top despite a corner table being open, and said that table was needed for earlier reservations and that we "might end up at the high top anyways." I got a text exactly one minute after our reservation time, we checked back in with the hostess and then were walked to the corner table we had wanted earlier. It seems like they could both improve their turnover and customer service with some adjustment to how they allocate their tables. We started with drinks, I had the Classic Mai Tai and it was delish. We had the Coconut Shrimp app and it was very tasty, a nice mix of savory shrimp with a bit of salad. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and it was a very nice dish as well. The lady had the Thai shrimp and scallops and really liked it. I had a bite and must agree. We were too full for desert but will have to come back and try that sometime. Service from Warnell was top notch and we also got a check-in from the manager. We liked the casual ambiance although the place was a bit loud and the singer's volume could have been toned down. We have been eating at Tommy Bahama for the past 20+ years. We normally save it for a special occasion like a birthday, anniversary, etc. In all those years, we have loved the vibe, the island feeling, the drinks, the warm bread and sweet butter and the incredible service. This was our experience until this July. On this occasion, we were excited to eat some of our favorites. We made a reservation ahead as we know it rains daily in July. We specifically requested an indoor table. As we were traveling to the restaurant, we were driving in an awful lightning storm and were very glad we had made a reservation for indoors. We arrived to the restaurant and were seated outdoors despite it still raining. We were not happy, but some excuse was made about the radar and the rain stopping for the evening. We didn't complain, but weren't exactly happy. Our server came to take our order. We are accustomed to ordering tropical drinks and starting with the warm bread. Drinks were ordered and bread never came. We placed our dinner order and still no bread. Once our dinners came out, we were very disappointed to find that in spite of the price hikes, the portion sizes have been shaved down drastically. The normal flavor in our dishes wasn't present, and the tropical, no worries vibe was missing. Our entire crew of five all commented on how this just doesn't feel like a special dinner out anymore. Welcoming atmosphere with a vacation feel. Fun live music! We were told that this was the original Tommy Bahamas store. There's a nice men's retail shop next door and a ladies one across the street. Very busy! Been trying to get a reservation here for seven years (granted we only come here once a year during spring break!) Very friendly and knowledgeable server. Tommy Margarita was on point. Perfect snout of sweet vs. sour. Guacamole and salsa were superb. Fire roasted tomatoes and there's nothing like ripe, Floridian avocados! Our first time visiting for lunch during Happy Hour. The place was very quiet. We asked if we could sit at a table and not at the high tops and still be able to order from the Happy Hour menu. My wife was told by one of the staff " absolutely not " You have to sit at the bar on a high top. The Manager overheard and very nicely asked how he could help. My wife told him, and he sat us at a table which was very nice. The water brought to the table was not cold and was served without ice. The domestic beer I ordered $6 Happy hour price $6 was not served in a chilled glass, abd was also not cold. I ordered a burger and fries $23 which was nothing special prepared on a flattop. My wife ordered chips and dips which she enjoyed. The bill at lunch for a pina colada, domestic beer, burger fries and chips with some dips was $60 read more

So...You need a coconut cloud martini and the crab and shrimp pasta dish. The pasta was unexpectedly yummy! Service was great as usual, live music is pretty much every night while it's the winter season. This is the best location I've been to for Tommy Bahama restaurant. It's the first one I went to back in the 90's not long after it opened. Being the OG for Tommy restaurants, it's special. It has parking behind the restaurant as well as some spots along side in front. The music is fun if you catch it and the stores around it are the best I've seen for the brand. The open air, upscale decor and the staff are exceptional. It's a must do on my list each time I go. I was just there recently and had the macadamia encrusted fish. It's delicious. I've had the spaghetti squash, tacos, and so many others in the past. The menu is spot on. It's a feel good restaurant for me and the healthy menu is a huge plus. read more

We visited on a Wednesday night during off-season and the place was packed. We had our two young kids with us and there is a nice kids menu, and they offered to bring our toddler his meal early (we declined) which was nice. Our service started out pretty well but went downhill, which is one of the reasons I knocked off a star. The live music is nice but it was overall so loud in the whole restaurant that it was hard to have any conversation. Food is good. There's definitely both better and worse in Naples; I do think the price point is a little high compared to other places around with similar or better food. We got the coconut shrimp as an appetizer--shrimp were huge and cooked well. My husband got the pork special which was a huge slab of fried meat; he enjoyed it enough. My son got the kids Mac and cheese and liked it (but isn't picky); it would have been nice to have a side of fruit or something with it. I got the creole shrimp pasta which was a nice portion and was loaded with seafood/meat and veggies. Once our appetizer was brought out, we only saw our server maybe one more time and it was when she asked if we were interested in dessert. We said yes but then she disappeared and it was over 10-15 minutes before she came back to show us the options; by this time, our kids were too squirrly and impatient to stay any longer and we asked for our check. I ended up leaving with the kids while my husband waited on our check. The whole process to pay our check took another 15 or so minutes. It's a bummer that poor service impacts an otherwise lively and decent place to eat. Also, there were birds and dogs in the restaurant. Not on the patio, the actual restaurant. Came in here with really high expectations and left feeling disappointed. We only stayed for drinks and apps due to a medical incident that occurred at a table near us -- staff did nothing to help and service was overall pretty slow. As a Christmas tradition, my family enjoys a meal here with our annual $50 gift certificate. This year was exceptionally underwhelming starting with the 90 min+ wait - with the exception of the children's hamburger which was cooked medium rare to perfection. The first ever!! LOL. We ordered expresso martinis that were too sweet - I swapped mine out for a tasty spicy margarita. We ordered the biscuits - new, expensive and overcooked - and the coconut shrimp served with a coleslaw with way too much red onion. Our main dishes included the tuna tacos - I could only eat the tuna - and a salad that was over dressed. We will try again next year and hope for a better experience. It's a great spot and the happy hour (3-6pm) in the bar area seems like fun. read more

Tommy Bahama used to be a restaurant that was a family staple, meaning each time our family came to visit, this restaurant was a must goto. Well, not so much any more...whose idea was it to do away with the bread that was devoured as soon as it reached the table? You can't even pay to get the bread, it's just gone. In it's place, $10 dry biscuits. The food is still good, but the prices have gone up considerably. We had the same issue as other reviewers with the hostess. There was an empty table and she still made us wait, telling us it was for someone else who checked in. 10 minutes later, that was our table. I'm not so sure we'll rush back read more

Once we got past the maitre d' it was smooth sailing ;) This was arguably both the weirdest and best experience we have had at Tommy's. Apparently it pays to have a reservation. That's tip 1. Second, it pays to have at least four people in your party. We waited patiently for the indicated time at which an outside table was expected to be available. Even then, while between three and five outside tables were available the entire duration of our waiting and dining, the maitre d' refused to give us a table. Fortunately, the hostess saw our record of loyal patronage at the other Florida locations and overruled the decision of her boss. The food and drinks were better than at any other of their restaurants we frequent. Plus, the atmosphere is really great and the staff wonderful and very attentive. I loved the bar area too. Why the three stars? This was a one day trip for us with little time to spare. We didn't even consider going to a nearby restaurant though we came close. The snobbish maitre d' gets a two star deduction for wasting everyone's time. There is some street parking and a lot in the back. read more

I always thought of Tommy Bahama as being a clothing store but I found out they have a restaurant as well! Located right in Naples, this restaurant certainly fits in well with the vibe of the area. The prices are a bit on the expensive side but so are similar restaurants in the area. It seems to be popular as it was hard to get a reservation, so plan ahead! We got the famous coconut shrimp as a starter and it was quite good. It comes with a slaw that is very fresh and adds a bit of acidity to the dish. I also tried the blue crab cakes, which were packed full of crab and coated with more coconut on the outside. We finished the meal with their pina colada cake. It was super light and had fresh pineapple and coconut in it. I enjoyed all the food here, though not sure this would be a place I frequent given the prices. read more

Crazy how great the food is at lunch. An apparel store that serves food? More like a great restaurant that sells clothes! We loved everything about our lunch!! Wonderful service from Hailiegh - great recommendations and service - in a friendly fun spot. The guacamole & salsa is a great starter - chips are light and crisp and I loved the salsa. The filet salad was a big winner, the grouper sandwich huge and delicious (I had to sample some) and the burger was big and wonderful (mine). We had Leo as our server, and if you look at the other reviews you will see he gets many shout outs. Great server, and made the evening fun. The restaurant has a fun vibe, is very open and kind of loud and had some live music. Since this was our first Tommy Bahama visit, we stuck with the tried and true. Mai Tai's made us feel like we were in Hawaii. Complimentary bread service (remember when restaurants used to do that!) was outstanding. Coconut shrimp were special as well, and I understand why the most popular dish. All of our entrees exceeded our expectations from the macadamia crusted snapper, to the ribs. They have a frequent dining program that is worth signing up for. Download the app before your visit for an initial discount. My wife and I went to Tommy Bahama Naples store to look at clothing. We routinely visit the Naples Tommy store 2 to 3 times per year primarily to find clothing for her and myself. The sales people were friendly as usual except for Todd who I assumed was a sales person, but actually was the manager of the store. He was unbelievably rude. He treated us like he didn't want to be bothered with us when we were checking out. it was a very negative experience.
