One of THE best vegetarian sushi rolls I've ever had! While not marked as vegetarian - we double checked and the Bīgan Specialty Maki Roll is vegetarian and is perfection! It is a Kimchi, cucumber, avocado, and white asparagus roll, that is topped with roasted bell peppers glazed with sweet and spicy tamarind bibimbap sauce, scallions, and orange zest. 10/10 recommend this restaurant for it - and a place to bring your vegetarian friends if you want some sushi?

1/25/22 Ordered Uber Eats. Had the mixed greens salad and the "side" salmon as a topper.The salad was packaged perfectly, it looked beautiful and tasted delicious. The ginger dressing went well. Loved the Peruvian corn and fresh avocado. Also appreciated that the onions were sliced very thinly so they did not overwhelm the salad. Enjoyed how the individual vegetables were separate so that I could mix them on my own. Each component was very fresh.The salmon was cooked to perfection. Enjoyed the meal very much. Looking forward to going to the restaurant to try more of their menu items

I recently had the honor of attending a yelp elite dinner here at 26 sushi & tapas. The food was incredible! By far the best sea bass I have ever had in my life! I have seafood in many places especially because I travel often to the keys where seafood is abundant. However the way the fish is cooked and served here is very special! Delicious is an understatement! Served on a skillet with sautéed garlic-y mushrooms. The appetizers were just as amazing. I am so glad I was able to attend this yelp event and have now discovered the best sea bass in Miami!

Found this by chance while visiting a friend. I was in the mood for sushi and he was in the mood for tapas so it all worked out. For a Monday night is was packed, we arrived at 9:30p and was seated right away. A table had just opened. On one side of the menu is sushi and the other side are the tapas and entrees. Everything to note is that everything is kosher. We ordered the lettuce wraps, Tequenos, crunchy tiger roll and Godzilla roll. The crunchy tiger roll came out first. It was very good! The Godzilla arrived. It was good but the Planko browsing made the crust hard with it being deep fried. We enjoyed the lettuce wraps and the cheese roll. The passion Rita without the spice was very good! If I am ever back in the area, I would visit again. There are a few other rolls I would I like to try and the people sitting next to us raved about the bourbon salmon noodles.

Great place. we always stop by here when in the Miami area as their food is delicious and exotic and always fresh. They have a great little specials and an excellent wine list. Large outdoor seating area. The service is excellent. The meal portions are very varied between the different dishes, so I would recommend ordering on the conservative side and adding dishes as you're eating. They specialize in small plates LOL so most of them come out very quickly.

Came here for lunch in a Sunday and left kind of confused by the high rating this restaurant has on Yelp. First of all, it's not well cleaned. I'm usually not very picky but it bothered me that almost every dish I had was somehow dirty. The glasses had watermarks, the bento boxes had some kind of marks on the sides, the chair seats were smudged. The carafe the sake came in had red (wine?) spots on it. It was enough to be noticeable for me. I had a rioja from Spain. I would recommend it. Good wine. The sake was also good, but they were out of their cheaper option and only had the more expensive ($20) one available. We both got the bento boxes with spicy tuna and they were pretty underwhelming. It's hard to describe, but the texture of the tuna was mushy and pretty flavorless. Also the bento boxes just come with salad/edamame/ or miso soup. I'm used to most sushi places adding more to their boxes. We also had another roll and it was pretty good but it was $25 which is just way too much for a place like this. Our server was fine, gratuity is included in the check. I would skip this in the future.

Miami is currently the sushi & fish capital for restaurants since NYC and Cali have been mostly shutdown. This would make sense as to why most of the sushi places we have picked in Miami seem to have unbelievably fresh and delicious fish. 26 Sushi is the same as eating at an expensive Japanese restaurant in Manhattan or West Hollywood, except with much better quality of fish. Nearly everything was exceptionally tasting. The Saltarito Burrito is an exciting dish to try that explodes with flavor. I had half of it here and the other half the next day and it was just as good. Lubina Dumplings. Not my favorite, but a good dish to try. The dumpling itself was a bit too chewy. Los Marlins Tacos are very good. They don't fall apart, so they're a pleasure to eat and very good. The cevichito was one of the best I've had anywhere. EXTREMELY fresh fish. Delicious. Service and decor were solid for an enjoyable casual meal.

I've never tried Latin/Japanese fusion before. We were in town looking for sushi and the reviews on this place was enticing. I would say, if you're looking for authentic Japanese, this isn't the place... but if you're open to explore something new, I highly recommend this place. Our waiter gave us great suggestions, we pretty much Ed ordered all his fav and glad we did. Flavors were robust but not overbearing and my pallet was very happy with me! Coming again the next time I'm in town!

We needed a central place to meet with family and this place was chosen. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect from a Kosher Sushi place but I was excited to see how it was. The food actually tasted fresh, and the presentation was decent; you can tell the knife skills of the sushi person were below par, but there's no complaining here since it all tasted pretty good. 2/5 Sashimi Salad $18.00 was pricy for a few pieces of fish. It was ok...tasty by wow...expensive for regular type of fish. 3/5 Danny's Sushi Pizza $13 was ok. Just a fusion of salmon, guac and cherry tomatoes. 3/5 Chilean Sea bass Dumplings $10.00 tasted ok but the skin was too thick and chewy. 4/5 Stir fried vegetables $5.00 were nice and very fresh. 3/5 Kanisu $13.00 tasted ok but so poorly executed. It wasn't rolled tight enough so when you went to eat it, it all fell apart. This was solely on the sushi person who's skills are below par. The slices were also all cut in different widths, some wider and some so thin. 3/5 El Nino 16 $18.00 was ok...it was again over priced for the amount of fish you received. I guess it's due to the place being Kosher that jumps the price up at least 25% from other places. 1/5 Crispy Lady $30.00 was basically $5 a piece of rice with spicy tuna over it. Absurdly overpriced for any place for this amount. I didn't foot the bill but had it...I'd have a cow for a dish that costs so little to be so expensive for what you were served. Outrageous. 2/5 Protein Punch $20.00 was another poorly executed roll with everything just falling out when you went to eat it...Look at the cut rolls...some so large and some so thin...was the sushi person preparing these dishes visually impaired? Nothing special about this roll really and it was quite boring imo. 4/5 Raspberry Cheesecake (I believe) was good according to the guest. 5/5 Service was excellent by our young lady...she was always around and made sure we had everything we needed... But I don't think I'll return here anytime soon. The rolls were mostly all poorly executed, and the prices are outrageous possibly since it's Kosher certified in which, there are so many other places that I can eat at without issue. Still, $30 for 6 pieces of fried rice balls with spicy tuna on it is ludicrous in anyone's standard.

Bourbon Salmon NoodlesVery slow service but it seems that Bourbon Salmon Noodlesis quite the norm here. But friendly staff, plenty of social distancing, and options to eat outside. Music on the loud side (and not really to my liking). I also hate that they automatically at 18% gratuity but then also ask for a tip. How many people dont notice that gratuity was already added and add on their own tip after the CC is swiped? But that too is common here so customer beware and look over your check Food was delicious. I had the Trio fritas (10/10) and bourbon noodles salmon (10/10). Pepper fries, cheese fries, and sweet potato fries. The best I've had in a long time. And then great dips to go with them. Salmon was also amazing. Nuggets on a bed of pasta and veggies. Couldn't get enough of them.

We decided to come to 26 Sushi and Tapas for my husbands birthday this past week. We were really impressed with the service and food at this beautiful restaurant. We are from Las Vegas where the food scene is really amazing on the strip and off from service and ambiance to food. This spot reminded us of home for all those reasons. We really enjoyed our time with friends and we all agreed the food and service was incredible. I definitely recommend this gem and will definitely come back. Drinks: the drinks were amazing. I felt like we were at a bar. The Old Fashion on the menu was our favorite it came in such a beautiful presentation. It had the perfect amount of smokiness. I would recommend this drink if you are looking for something classic with a twist. Appetizers: we ordered the edamame which was delicious they were dressed with garlic and spices in soy sauce, the ceviche which i highly recommended it was Peruvian style and it had the right amount of fish and "leche de tigre" lime. And we also had tiradito which was also delicious. Main course: the main course was sushi and it was super delicious. Our favorites were the one with banana and the spicy tuna roll which was so good with the right amount of spice. Dessert: You must get the banana pudding with blueberry. It was seriously delicious and super moist.

I wasn't sure if I would like the food, being that I'm not such a fan of sushi. Boy was I wrong! There were loads of other menu options besides sushi, and the service was spectacular. We sat at the bar and had a great time. The drinks were amazing, and the bartender (I think his name was Gonzalo) was super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the dumplings and the lettuce wraps. read more

I've been to a lot of sushi restaurants, and I was really not impressed with this one. Perhaps it was a combination of poor ordering and poor timing, but our experience was simply average. It took a very long time to get our order once it was placed, and so our food was mostly cold by the time we ate it. We had to order takeout since it was so busy, but next time I would get a reservation and dine in. I don't want to fault them due to the busy-ness, but I'm not convinced the food wasn't sitting for a bit before we got it. The food itself was highly fair - the sushi roll we ordered had an odd combination of flavors and textures, including being much more crunchy than anticipated, and the carrot dish tasted good but was not helped by being very cold. Also, since we had takeout, we did not get to try their drink selection, so I can't comment on that. Overall, the food was alright, but I'd likely go elsewhere. read more

The menu is delicious, so this review is not about the flavor or the quality. But their average Maki is $18 - and the most embarrassingly thin slices of "sushi" I've ever seen, let alone at these prices. The sushi cuts were quite literally thinner than the tip of my chopstick (as evidenced by the photo I posted) - resulting in sushi that is almost entirely devoid of the flavor of sushi, and entirely about the filler (rice, cucumber, apple, avocado, microgreens aka alfalfa, etc.). If I were behind this sushi bar, I'd consider Hari Kari before sending these dishes off to the unsuspecting public. So I write this review to -ahem- suspect the public. Don't come here expecting first rate "sushi" - come here expecting first rate "food" with a sushi-esque feel. *Edit* yes, the sushi chef did provide a complimentary serving of super lean unflavorful hamachi (it was almost kanpachi but whatevs) when I lamented about the portion of fish. But please don't put me in that position in the first place. Wow me with your menu insights on balancing flavor & ingredients - don't make me worried about contributing to the overall price inflation of real estate in Miami. What, is that roll made with heirloom apples dusted with unicorn tears? Meh. I've definitely experienced better sushi. But I'll admit the salmon robota was excellent. thanks for the reply and good luck. read more

Yum this was our first time here and everything was yum. Service was good too. There were numerous items that we didn't get to try so I'm sure we'll be back for more. I tried this place last night with my mom and we loved what we got! We ordered the ceviche and salmon nigiri as an appetizer and they were both delicious. For entrees, we ordered the miso bass and the bourbon salmon noodles and the portions were both pretty big. The miso bass was really soft and juicy. It came with mushrooms and rice which was nice. The noodles were so good, they were mixed with vegetables and I loved it! I think it was my favorite dish from the meal. For dessert, we had coconut rice pudding which I loved. It came with pieces of fruit and a jam with cinnamon on top. The jam was a little too sweet so I took off some of it and set it aside. I loved the coconut rice pudding, it wasn't too sweet which I enjoyed a lot. I'm not usually a fan of sweets but the coconut rice pudding was delicious, I would definitely come here again and order it but maybe ask for the jam and fruit on the side if possible. We also tried two drinks; the old fashion and strawberry mojitos. The strawberry mojito is a great drink for people who are into fruity drinks and the presentation for the old fashion was so cool! Overall I really enjoyed my meal and I would come here again to try more of their menu items. The service was also amazing and the ambiance was dim and had a fancy feel to it. read more

This place was amazing! The food was superb, presented beautifully and tasted wonderful. There were good sized portions and it is a kosher restaurant. I highly recommend the cevichito and lava cake. Fantastic!!! The service was by far the best service we had our entire stay in Surfside Beach. They were quick, polite and informed us when the lava cake would take 15 minutes, in the event that bothered us. They kept our beverages full at all times. The atmosphere was lovely. read more

I have never given a one star review but this food made both my husband and me sick. I realize that eating raw fish has its risks and these things happen. However, the manager's response was to get defensive and argue with us. He did not even apologize or express any sympathy. He reluctantly took ten percent off of our check which hardly compensated for us getting sick from the food. This wasn't worth it on any level. We did not care for the food, it was extremely expensive, and we are both incredibly nauseous. The server also tried to convince us to buy only the most expensive things on the menu, which we later realized was because the 18 percent tip is automatic. We usually tip more than that but didn't this time. read more

I'll start with the good news- the food here is actually quite good. However, the service left much to be desired. To be fair, it was our waitress's first day serving, and she was pleasant and personable. Our food took quite a while in the kitchen, even though we (2 ppl) were the only table waiting for food (there was one other table finishing their meal with cappuccinos). The reason I'm only giving this place 1 star is because we chose it in part because there was a yelp deal for a free ice cream with an entree purchase. We showed the coupon as soon as we were seated and our waitress said she would ask about it. When we'd finished our entrees (ordered 2 sushi burritos), we asked about the coupon again because ice cream isn't on the menu. She returned to say that her manager didn't know anything about the yelp deal because he never does coupons, but he was willing to honor it for a flan instead. We were pleased with this response and enjoyed the flan. When preparing our bill, the waitress asked to show my phone, with the deal on it, to her manager and took it to the back. Really? Manager can't be bothered to come out and talk to his customers himself? She returned several minutes later with my phone and the bill. We were charged for the flan ($12!!!) and given $2 off... because she said she misread the coupon as $1 off. So why did we get $2 off? And who charges $12 for flan?? We don't live here, so we won't be back anyway, but even as good as the food is, we would still steer clear. read more

Amazing new restaurant! Not your typical Sushi joint. From the moment you walk in you feel welcome, the staff Did a great job attending to every detail. The restaurant is only a few days old and still came across super organized and well managed. Chef clearly knows his way around the Peruvian kitchen. Fishes were super fresh and dishes perfectly flavored and plated. This place will be one of the stand outs on the Miami food scene. Definitely try the Testones and Ceviche from the best around. Only advice, come ready to experience foods and flavors you may not have had before. Or you can always stick to their vast classic Sushi Or specialty chef rolls. On a personal note: My meter was running short and Daniel went out on his own to add time to it. That has never happened before! Clearly the Owners have spent a lot of time emphasizing " customer first " is a must. read more

From the moment we walked in we were greeted very nicely and promptly seated. We were amazed by the great selection of items on the menu and honestly we wanted to order EVERYTHING. We went for a couple of tapas and two different specialty makis. Their tag line can't be more to the point! Definitely Kosher never tasted this good!!! It was so amazing and full of flavor! Their specialty drinks were fantastic, and they have an amazing wine selection. Dessert... The cherry on the top! We were so pleased with our visit and we for sure be back. read more

Once 26 raises the bar, haven't been to my favorite restaurant in months and my expectations were exceeded. The service is amazing the food is spectacular, when ever I send friends they are amazed! Tonight we sampled some of the dishes that maybe aren't as popular and we were blown away as usual. The thing about 26 there is nothing usual, the Peruvian twist is just something so unusual to kosher! The soba with the Peruvian cream sauce had a depth of flavor that was a perfect example of a Wow dish. Keep up the good work Chef and amazing staff!!! read more

The restaurant itself has a very sophisticated and modern layout. There is plenty of room and it is easy to have conversation with the people at your table. Everything we preferred was exceptional, the sushi was possibly the best kosher sushi I've ever had. The server we had was friendly as well as knowledgeable of every dish on the menu. The food came out quickly and was presented beautifully. It was a little bit pricy but definitely a must for anybody who wants an exceptional meal. read more

First time trying this place out! We were on our way back home after a two hour beach walk! I ordered the passionfruit lemonade and it was amazing! Refreshing and full of flavor! After, we order the Salmon w quinoa and chaufa special! Its the monday special for only $18. All i can say is this.. That was the most amazing meal I have had in a very long time! I wanted to grab people walking by (we were seating outside) and tell them all about it or ask them to please try it! It was THAT good! My partner ordered the Miami Spice meal! We had tostones with ceviche! INCREDIBLE! so full of flavor! And then the Surfside rolls... I personally do not like sushi.. But i had two of hers. They were amazing! We ended the meal with a blueberry cheesecake , and well... We had to fight each other off for each bite! We were truly impressed! the service at this restaurant was highly, highly disappointing. I did not like my drink and respectfully asked to return it and the manager was arguing with me. never in my life did i have to argue with the staff when i was dissatisfied with anything at a restaurant. not only that, but the restaurant is extremely overpriced for the quality and portion of food. i left hungry. also, the waitress was all over the place and we had to ask for a fork 4 different times from 3 different workers. overall, extremely unsatisfied and will not be returning. read more

We have eaten here before but not in a long time. Would go for the happy hour menu. This time place was dirty, staff was rude, and food sucked. They even forced us to buy alcohol since we ordered off of happy hour menu, after they served the food!! Time for this place to close and we can get a new better sushi place in surfside read more

I live in NJ and was looking for an atypical kosher restaurant with a flair to host a large dinner party as part of my son's wedding weekend. I wanted a modern decor, delicious food and a place that could comfortably sit 90 people, As I entered 26 for the first time, I was immediately greeted by the owner who is a wonderful man. We discussed a menu with the chef and I came back on Wednesday for a tasting. I was literally BLOWN AWAY!!!!!!!! The presentation was absolutely awesome and the food was amazing. Truly the FRESHEST FISH I ever tasted. My sister and I could not stop eating!! What an incredible restaurant! From the moment my wife and I walked in everybody was very helpful with our baby and stroller. The ceviche was out of this world. Sushi was incredible we got 4 different rolls which were very exquisite. My father got an incredible pasta and we all throughly enjoyed. Now the best part the DESSERT! It was out of this world! The waiter recommended the Cronut and it was the best dessert I have ever had- hands down! I would tell anybody who wants to have a fancy or casual dinner. What an amazing place! Too expensive for mediocrity. Went here for lunch. I had the beat salad and the sea bass. The sea bass was just okay, but it came out before the salad. Entree before salad?? They were obviously rushing the beats because half the beats weren't cooked enough. Chocolate dessert was too rich for me. Other people might like it but was just not for my taste. My bill was $50. However, after a lot of back and forth, the server strongly pushed us toward their recommendation instead. We eventually went with it, but the food was mediocre and the sides were very basic. We felt pressured into ordering something we didn't really want. Later, the steak arrived medium rare instead of the medium well we requested, which meant we couldn't give much of it to our baby. Wanting to be respectful, I asked the manager if I could feed her a Serenity-branded baby food pouch. After examining it for a while, he said no -- again because it was not kosher -- with no explanation or alternative offered. Overall, the experience felt rigid and unwelcoming, especially for a family with a baby. The food did not justify the price, and we left feeling that we overpaid for a disappointing and uncomfortable experience.

The adventure turned into a receipt I had to read twice. And it's the same story across the menu. Everything's priced like it's special, and almost nothing is. The room is fine, the interiors are fine, and "fine" doesn't pay a ninety-dollar tab. The table wobbled throughout the whole meal, which, at these prices, stops being charming and starts feeling like an insult. Good food, bad math. Come if you're curious what a thirty-three-dollar salmon burger looks like. Know going in that it looks like a regular burger that happens to cost thirty-three dollars.

They brought her a huge platter with beautifully grilled cauliflower steak and other tasty bites. We then had dessert which was a warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and fresh tropical fruit salad. We also got to meet the Chef, Jake. We talked about the theme of the restaurant (Kosher Steakhouse) and his various concepts and projects. There is a variety of different steaks. He puts a lot of care into all the sauces and flavors. It would be much classier than the piece of paper that is handed to me like I might be an 8th grade customer and all i need is a number 2 pencil.

I had an AMAZING experience while I was eating there twice!! The food is phenomenal the service is excellent my server's name was Jason. Jason was very attentive , professional and kind. I took my kids and they loved the food!! We tried the Dynamite truffle mushroom hand roll that was to die for. Another day I went with some friends and we tried the passion fruit ceviche and the salmon tartare and that was a home run it was so delicious we licked the plate :)). I must give compliment to cheff Gian for the seabass cooked with mushrooms sauce that was such a balance dish not too sweet not too salty just right..we wanted more. Food amazing as always Unfortunately my server was very unprofessional Carlos was his name ,he was very inpatient and didn't help us that much , When we ask for our food since was taking so long ,he answer well it's busy and if you can't wait well you can go. We ask for manager but never came to table It's one of my favorite restaurants ,but never will want to be serve by him, He needs to know that customers come first and don't be so rude and unprofessional But I really recommend the restaurant But try not to seat with carlos Sorry I was so disappointed I need to write this Restaurant amazing but they need better training for servers like him read more

I'm so Glad we finally made it here. Where from New York & heard very Good things about this Restaurant. We came in on a busy Night. The Hostess Jaiden treated us like Family. We Did Not have a Reservation so he informed us that we would have too wait 15 Min For a Table. The place was busy. We sat down outside. Our Waiter was the best ever His name is (Alberto) Please Request Him. The lettuce wrap and beet salad were delicious. My entrée which was a whole grilled Bronzini was scrumptious. Brown rice and especially the homemade french fries were out of this world. My Channa really liked it so much that she spent most of the meal with her fingers in my french fries. To sum up great ambience, great food, knowledgeable staff. Would definitely eat here again. One note however my wife's meal was delivered approximately 15 to 20 minutes after my own due to some glitch in the kitchen. I am still awarding it a five star rating. There are a few times in life when a meal is so expertly crafted and planned that is nothing short of genius. last night I had one of those meals. the dish was excellently prepared. Seared, juicy and fresh Without a hint of fishiness. The Tuna tataki and the Tamago was outstanding. The food was spectacular, as was the service. Thank you Lacey B for all the support! The El Miamito specialty maki. Exceptional flavor, the mix of tuna, salmon,mango, avocado, coconut and guava was so unique! The mains were delicious and as unique as the mako, but when I return I think i'll order up some more specialty maki as my main! This place left me dreaming about sushi! Service was incredible, Justin, our waiter, was friendly and happy to explain any dish in delicious detail to help us make our choices. Always busy and somewhat loud but worth it for first class service and the best food in Surfside. Unmatched Food quality. (Please Read) But the last time I went too order some food the bartender treated me very bad ! and ignored me she told me too ask someone else that she was busy(There was nobody at the Bar? I dint understand but the attitude was very ugly unfortunately A server called Melfin helped me with my order he was Amazing. If management reads please train your company too have nice people. We were lost looking for another sushi restaurant Tonight. and gave up. We saw this restaurant and walked in not expecting anything. The host Treated very nice and warm. We were pleasantly surprised. The food here was amazing! The rolls are kosher but very good. The service could be better , and the selection of sakes wauw! I only review places that are worth 4 or 5 stars. This place definitely passes the test. Dining area is well lit and has a nice ambiance with chic decor. It's not too loud even when packed. The menu is expansive so I relied on the recommendations of my server Victor. Chose the miso sea bass with jasmine rice. It was very flavorful and the portion size left room for desert. Restaurant was so good I had to review 26 Tapas and Sushi again. We had dinner there again tonight, Served by Juan (who was super professional by the way). Very knowledgeable on the menu and options, As we are very picky eaters, We were accommodated with every wish by Fernando Sr. What else can I say, Best kosher by far in town! Service was great and food was awesome! Servers were doing great despite being short staffed. Manager on duty with a white beard was not being helpful though. I asked him a question and was not knowledgeable and rude. Other than that the snapper wass amazing! read more
