Don't let these other reviews fool you. This is the worst moving service!! They only had 3 men, they even asked me for assistance multiple times, like I was the fourth man. No biggie, but the damages and losses were what hurt us. After unpacking everything a couple days later, we noticed we were missing boxes. Also that certain boxes look tampered with, as if they were opened & resealed. After witnessing this I noticed missing items including some jewelry. Also multiple furniture pieces were damaged. The dining table leg was broken and wobbly. As well as damage to the flooring of the new home. Overall, very displeased by this situation & sad I was tricked by the fake reviews. read more

The crew they sent was HORRIBLE. They damaged an expensive leather couch by DRAGGING it on the floor and ceiling. They didn't even realize they were damaging it. We had to tell them to stop DRAGGING the couch. They were too weak to properly lift it, and they didn't sufficiently wrap it. They also kept whacking door frames with furniture. We ended up having them leave everything on the first floor of the new home. If you're moving heavy or nice furniture and not just boxes, I would not trust a crew from this company. The customer support was equally poor. When I complained during the move, the highest ranking manager I could get on the phone was defensive and said the movers told her the couch was heavy. Of course it is heavy; that is why I hired MOVERS. (Other movers moved the same couch into my prior home with no issue). If you have an issue during an active move, the company does nothing to help other than calling the crew to ask them to be more careful, which we already did. They also kept reciting a script about submitting a claim form. In other words, the company wanted us to just let the movers continue with the move and damage my new home and belongings. Moving into a new home is already a stressful experience. Using this company made it 10 times worse. I have moved many times with the same furniture without any problems. In fact, I had used 3 Men Movers on two prior occasions several years ago and had a great experience. Several of my friends who used 3 Men Movers many years ago also liked them. Uriel and his crew did a move of a heavy piece of equipment from the garage upstairs today. They did a great job-making sure to pack/wrap it well and put it on its stand. The only thing I would say is that the company told me all their work is insured, but Uriel told me mine would not be and that I had to sign a waiver.I called the office back after they finished and they assured me again that my project would have been insured.Knowing that would have made my day less stressful. As if moving isn't already stressful enough, depending on an unreliable moving company makes matters even worse. I haven't moved in many years, and the last time I did, I used 3 Men. It was a great experience. Well, a lot has changed since then and not for the better. We were scheduled to move on yesterday, but were told that there was no guarantee that we'd get the second crew (that we'd reserved well in advance), and that we should move our schedule to the following morning. So, we did. And guess what? Now there's been "an emergency in Austin" and the 2nd crew is once again a maybe. So, do the math for a 3200 sq ft, 4 bedroom house with only 3 men. In addition to the inconvenience, it will now take at least double the amount of time and money. And, to add insult to injury, they didn't even try to offer a discount of any kind for the horribleness of it all. I can count on one hand the regrets I've had in my life. I am really not sure how to rate this business. My story: I scheduled a move from Houston to Corpus Christi at 8:00am one month in advance and put a $500 deposit down. When the morning of the move came no one showed up. They called me half hour after the scheduled time to tell me they didn't have a crew. After countless calls to them they got me a crew at 3:30pm. The crew was absolutely amazing. They were quick, professional, and careful. I was very thankful that they agreed to take the job after having done one in the morning. So would I recommend them? I'm not sure. If they do get you a crew, the move will be smooth, but obviously reliability was a big issue for me. read more

I had high hopes for this moving company as a coworker recently used them and had a great experience. Plus, they have great reviews. Unfortunately, they didn't live up to the hype. The crew showed up 30 minutes late, and I was the first appointment of the day! The driver made up an excuse that he tried to call and couldn't get through. Interesting, because in scheduling the appointment I never had problems receiving their messages or texts. When I texted the scheduling coordinator about them being so late, he never responded. It's hours later and he still hasn't. Again, interesting as he was so responsive with all my previous inquiries, which is why I selected this company. On the day of a move, I don't want to have to wonder if the movers are going to show. The crew wears masks in name only. I find it completely disrespectful they walk into peoples homes and don't adhere to proper protocol. The only time I saw any of them properly wearing a mask was when it came time for the payment and tip. I didn't feel like they worked very quickly and at the very least should've discounted the fee when they were so late. I won't be using again, and I don't recommend you use them either. read more

This was my first time using movers, and I was nervous because I've heard horror stories from other people, but this group put me at ease. Octavio and his team (Simon, Douglas, and Armando) helped me move across town, and they were fantastic. They were friendly, smiling, efficient, considerate, and fast. They maneuvered corners with grace without knocking into anything. They disassembled and reassembled furniture. They were prepared with plastic wrap and heavy duty blankets for anything that required it. They worked great as a team and were easy to work with. I had packers, movers, and another crew to unpack because the packer lady said she doesn't go in an elevator -they knew I was moving to a high-rise when I booked them. Why didn't they give me the same packers and unpackers - had to call day of pack and get a new crew who would go in an elevator to come unpack. Either packers or movers broke a box full of plates. Missing my silverware that cannot be replaced. If you don't want your items broken or missing use another moving company - this company is the WORST!!! The packers packed items in plastic grocery bags from grocery stores - just filled bags up without wrapping items. Then another crew of unpackers. Friends used them before and they were great except this last time that I moved from a 1 BR apt to a house 7 mins away- paid $800 and it would've been okay, except it seemed as if they were purposely lagging. A few hours in, the crew leader began to get comfortable and playful. He rushed the dolly and didn't measure a desk through a narrow hallway, and poked a hole in the newly painted wall as I watched him look at it and try to play it off and act as it didn't happen. When confronted towards the end, he pretended not to know what we were talking about. The dude swore that he would be back to fix it the following week but 2 months later and he seems to have disappeared from the Earth. It also took them about 30 minutes to drive a 7 minute drive. I want to add that they didn't wish to pack DVDs from bookshelves so we had to figure out how to move them ourselves on a separate day. The drive was the longest since we went out of town. Would recommended them, just note during Covid to be aware of the face coverings and ask them to wear if they aren't. I used 3 Men movers back in 2012 when I bought my first townhome, they were awesome at the time. I moved again in 2015 and 2017, neither time using 3 men, what a mistake. I wasn't going to make that mistake again. Fast forward to 2022. Not only do we have more "stuff" but it's more valuable and I had a longer move from Houston up to Tomball. From the quote process to the packing to the move, 3 men movers were professional, timely and respectful. Now it wasn't cheap, at all. But they went as fast as they could while being very respectful of both my homes and my things. We paid the extra for the 4 Man crew and the 48ft truck to avoid them having to go back for more items and I'm glad we did. Also, Ashley and the packing team were great too! First time we've used a packing service and they packed our entire house in 4.5 hours. Pretty impressive. They use your moving supplies and once you run out they will use theirs which is basically the same price as if I were buying them at home depot. If you're considering 3 men, just pull the trigger. After waiting several weeks looking for movers , I decided to use 3 men movers . They seem like they had the fairest rate. 125 flat fee . 150 for Tuesday and Wednesday was the cheapest rate. Monday and Thursday is a $10 more. And weekends are the most expensive. They had the most positive reviews so I decided to give them a try. After asking for a quote online, they responding within a couple of hours. They gave me a detailed breakdown of the cost. The day of the move was supposed to be around 2pm. Around 2pm, they canceled my move because their driver was sick. I was planning this for several weeks already and moved all my furniture out the rooms and moved and unplugged all the appliances. But , they could of called me earlier but decided to let me know the last minute. Which was frustrating for me and my family since we planned this day for awhile and confirmed several days ahead. The driver told me they can schedule the move another day. There was no way I could take another day off. I had call the office several times . After an hour of waiting , the moving concierge told me some good news . She gave me the news I was waiting for , she told me another driver is on the way. Yeah!!!!! The moving team was lead by Jose and his crew. I was skeptical at first because I have not used movers in 15 years. . After hours of bubble wrapping my furniture, wrapping the furniture with blankets and bringing my furniture. They were done . Jose and his crew did a great job. They moved at an efficient but careful pace. At the end my charge was reasonable and the move was good. It was actually more than I expected. I will definitely use them again. I had to book these guys last minute because another moving company canceled on me the same day. The guys were professional and did a good job of moving my items without damaging them ( some furniture was reassembled incorrectly and multiple walls were scratched but I can deal with those). That's where the 2 stars come from. However never in a million years would I think it would take 6.5 hours to move from a 1 bedroom apartment to a townhouse 1.5 miles away. My total for the move? Nearly $1200!!! I truly feel so many items were unnecessarily wrapped at nauseam (a garbage can for example), and after a while I just started stuffing items in my car to expedite it all along. When everything was in my new home I told them all to not bother unwrapping or assembling anything other than my bed or table as it would've easily kept them in my home another hour and would've brought my tab close to $1400 Update 8/12: The company reached out to me to address some of my concerns, namely the length of the move and what I felt were unnecessary wait times between boxes being moved from my home. I took the opportunity to mention there were several times I was left alone in my place when I didn't see anyone moving anything. I'm adding a star because they do have really great customer service and they refunded me for 1 hour of the moving time. So 4 stars for their customer service and follow up, professionalism (none of my items were broken, just minor damage to walls), and availability (these guys showed up quickly and last minute). Minus 1 star for cost (still the most expensive movers in Houston I've found). Bottom line: I've found 3 men to be reliable and your stuff is probably going to be safe with them. read more

A+ experience with Luis and his crew. Worked non-stop the entire time and treated our house and furniture like their own. Great communication in the time leading up to their arrival at 1pm. I received a text about 10:45am letting me know they were on their way and shortly thereafter, Luis called to confirm a 1pm start. They arrived at my house promptly at 1pm and within 2 hours, had wrapped (every single item received a pad and plastic wrap - included in the price) and loaded 4 bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, and an office onto their truck. I don't think I've ever seen 3 movers use a hand truck/dolly so efficiently. Quick drive over to the new house and everything was unloaded and arranged within 2 1/2 hours. I honestly don't think they bumped a single wall or knicked an entire piece of furniture in that time. Highly recommend Three Men - ask for Luis. read more

This includes a 45 minute drive as well. They were careful with my belongings and quick. They did not take care of boxes labeled fragile and several glassware items were damaged from a box placed at the bottom of a heavy stack of boxes. They damaged one of my televisions, which really upsets me because the sales person on the phone ASSURED me that there was no reason to purchase additional insurance and that all my tvs would be completely safe. Some of the staff took their masks off in the house periodically which put myself, my wife, and my newborn at an unnecessary health risk. I also asked that they let me disassemble our Sleep Number bed, after they took down the frame Instead, they disassembled everything and broke part of the bed in the process. When they assembled the bed I pointed out that there were two straps and that they needed to be attached to the bed. The guy putting the bed together just nodded, incorrectly installed the one strap and did not inform me that he broke the other one at the start location. I didn't even realize until I went back to the other house and saw the broken strap just left on the ground. Overall I would not hire 3 Men Movers ever again and I certainly don't feel that this company is taking appropriate steps during COVID-19 to keep everyone healthy. I am not going to bury the lead: our furnish and belongings were covered with mildew and there was black mold on most of the boxes and content on the bottom level. 3Men paid us .60 per pound on a long list of items that was destroyed by the black mold. This included some heirloom silver pieces. They said that this was what they were only obligagted to pay. We considered ourselves very loyal to 3 Men Movers in Sharpstown. Starting in 2014 every move, whether local or across the state was with 3 Men. We stored our entire house in a 30' x 10' locker, the biggest available. Mid summer of '22 we received two calls. 1) There was an attempted break in to out storage and 2) there was a breakdown on the environmental controls. 1) they replaced the lock which was destroyed by the intruder. Nothing missing. 2) we had to move all of our items from the one storage unit to another two doors down. Many things were visibily destroyed. I took inventory of what else was damaged as we moved every item. I did not go inside any of the undamaged boxes so I took what was on the surface of the box as the onlu damage. When we finally moved out this past Dec we had to store every box in the garage and transfer to other boxes to move into the house. We discovered numerious boxes that were damaged by standing water and there was black mold throughout. All of these items were immediatly photoed and thrown away. We filed a claim based on the actual cost of the items, but were then sent a resolution from 3MEN for only 60 cents per pound. The difference between what they were willing to pay and the actual cost was in the thousands. Reconsider any thoughts of using 3 Men as they are certainly not going to value your business. We are giving them two stars as we were originally taken care of by a very dedicated staffer who has since "left" the business. Otherwise it would be one star. read more

Movers: I have used 3 Men Movers for all of my moves except 1 (I think 5?). I have always loved and recommended them. However, I've noticed their quality declining as the years have gone by. The last 2 moves they broke significant things. Most recently, they broke our A/C condenser coil (WHICH BREAKS THE ENTIRE A/C UNIT) when removing our Christmas Tree from the attic. They used the strategy of time (not returning phone calls or emails) and many work-arounds in their policies to never pay us for this and to deny our claims even though there were pictures and an actual HVAC repairman to give proof of our claim. This cost us $1500 to fix. The last move from THEIR storage (4 bedroom house) into another 4 bedroom house with a stop in-between to pick up a bed and some boxes took 8 hours. E-I-G-H-T. You might say, perhaps you had fragile things. You are correct. We had many pieces of art--packed by their professional packers--and they still got broken by the movers. Oh, and I had to ask movers to wear masks during COVID. Storage: Dustin (the storage manager) is amazing and the reason this review is so high. We still use storage with them because of him. Packers: They're mostly thorough, but don't use any common-sense discernment. They literally packed an open container of cooking grease (think: used container next to the stove) in a box with other stuff, which got grease everywhere. They also forgot to pack an entire drawer, which had my good jewelry in it. Also, as above-mentioned, art still got broken even though they packed it. read more

Unpacking, totally unprofessional, did not listen to my instructions, they rearranged the shelving in my cabinet, breaking brackets and I wondered why they were hotailing it out of here. They only issued a partial refund and continued to claim that I was to only get that despite me having a voicemail from their lead Alvin offering half. Five years ago I had three men movers move all the contents of my household into a very large storage unit. Although I was present when the loading was taking place, I did not realize that they have taken and fragile items such as my Christmas ornaments, and placed them at the bottom of a very heavy pile of other items. I am in the process of moving out of the storage unit now and the movers I hired for this task have pulled out several items that are broken and unusable. Most of the heavy weight bins used to hold my items are destroyed. I have consistently used 3 Men Movers for about 15 years. I am so totally disappointed. Manager agreed to make good on the money we were out delayed move and then refused. Movers we wound up using, Two Men and a Truck were amazing.
