We were invited for dinner by our friends at this restaurant today (3-7-2026). The restaurant is located in a strip mall on the outskirts of Vallejo. The restaurant appears neat and very plain with no ambiance. Our host ordered fried tofu with vegetables, garlic deep fried chicken wings, beef with vegetables, clams with gravy, roast duck, shrimp lo-mein, steam rice, and spicy green beans. The portions were generous. The deep fried chicken wings were tasty and delicious. The other dishes were good. The clam dish had a bit too much gravy. The bathroom was neat. There is plenty of parking. All in all, a very good restaurant to try some Chinese food. I recommend this place for the food. The ambiance is lacking so taking a "date" for a romantic evening meal is probably not such a great idea. read more

I wanted to really like this place but just under whelmed with the fried rice. The sweet and sour pork I ordered was actually very good and they put a lot of vegetables that really blend with the sweet sauce well. Pork was crunchy but just bland rice which is too bad. Very busy place and all local people so maybe I ordered the wrong stuff....great service, extremely clean and cool art and ambiance. Was in Vallejo with family a few weeks ago and suddenly we were set to figure out where to find lunch - after searching through Yelp (and figuring out what everyone was craving), 3 Star was our eye-catcher (mainly because my aunt kept pitching Chinese food but I also noticed they served Filipino food too!). We had a party of 9 and were accommodated for immediately, which was convenient since we came later than the usual lunch rush time. We ordered the following: - Pancit Miki/Bihon - Garlic chicken wings - Salt & Pepper porkchops - Dried cook string beans - Mongolian beef - Walnut prawns - Wonton soup - White rice Everything was affordable and well made (not super heavy too!), but the star of the meal was the garlic chicken wings. That dish reminded me of a lighter version of San Tung's dry fried chicken wings, but without the crazy wait times and overwhelming crowded restaurant. Service was good here too, since we were helped out a lot and even received free sesame balls at the end of our meal. It's a sweet, welcoming business. The dishes are expensive, most in the $18-$20, even for noodle dishes. The garlic sauce chicken wings seem to be their specialty and they were very good. Crunchy, not greasy. The sauce seems to have a slight orange flavor as well as garlic and mild heat from chilis. Thing is, there was not a single drumstick in the order - only the middle part of the wing so very little meat; mostly bone, skin and breading. Tasty though. The beef chow fun wasn't bad but also was completely unremarkable. Very little flavor. Their on-the-side "hot sauce" I think is black bean based and very salty - but it's on the side. Salt and pepper prawns were light and nicely fried - not greasy at all. The onions and jalapenos were fresh and crisp. That all said, the dish over all had very little flavor to distinguish itself. The salt and pepper pork chop (you get several thin chops in each order) were nicely fried - a thin breading and not greasy at all. Tasty but also not something where you would say "I have to have them again". The garlic sauce chicken wings were the star and, if there were some drumsticks, I would have rated them higher. read more

They are very clean and organized when serving orders and also handling online and phone orders. It gets pretty busy around lunch! So you have to be patient when being helped, as there are only 2-3 servers at a time. They are very accommodating, making sure you are having an enjoyable experience. They have some Chinese and Filipino items on the menu. All of which are cooked fresh when ordered.. the Filipino pork tocino lunch special, I do like it but it doesn't taste like the authentic Filipino pork tocino. The way they make theirs, it comes out as a candied meat, a little bit on the hard side. Served with your choice of white rice or garlic rice, a fried egg and vinegar on the side. Which was still very delicious but I do wish that the meat was more soft. But that is my preference! The fried rice, soups and duck. The garlic chicken. The pork chops and everything else that I tried, didn't disappoint me. This spot is my go to when my family from out of town comes over. My nieces love the garlic fried chicken wings especially. Great Filipino breakfast and Chinese dishes! Known for the great sweet glazed chicken wings! But these are no longer original as new restaueamts now have a take on it. Tocino was a more like rock candy than tender meat with a slight sweet crust on the meat. But otherwise the salted garlic rice and egg keeps the balance. For Chinese, can't go wrong with the the pan fried noodles and mongolian beef. read more

On comments from a previous review, I placed a phone order of the garlic sauce chicken wings, salt & pepper wings and eggplant with garlic sauce. The order was ready upon arrival and I was anxious to try them as soon as I got home. On the previous review, it was mentioned that the garlic sauce wings were close to the wings at San Tung in The City. They were close in comparison and do allow us to not have to make the trek. They were tasty. As for the salt & pepper wings, they were also tasty, meaty and crunchy....two thumbs up! I wish I could say the same about the eggplant. Not exactly as I had imagined they would be. They were deep fried in batter and then sautéed with garlic sauce and onions...unexpectedly. They were still tasty but not something I would order again. Okay so I've been coming here for a couple of years now and never get a picture! This is a small family business that offers Chinese and Filipino food and it's really good. The staff is always friendly and the place is always clean. When you walk in you are greeted and your order is always ready when you call it in. My go to is always the garlic sauce chicken wings. They are sooo good. I can never have enough. They have a hint of spice to it, which I don't mind at all but if you're sensitive to spicy foods then I wouldn't really recommend those. I have also ordered their salt and pepper chicken wings which are also amazing, along with fried rice and chow mein noodles. The chow mein is average but the fried rice is pretty good. My main rating is for the chicken wings which I typically order by itself. Highly recommend supporting this local business! read more

We ordered human beef and we got some weird almost sweet and sour dish the sane thing happened the last time we ordered. Their garlic sauce chicken wings are THE THING to get at this restaurant. Saucy, garlicky, sweet, crispy, and oh so good. You can eat them alone, or even better, with some of their fried rice. They're not as spicy as they once were, but still worth a trip to this side of Vallejo for. Their yang chow fried rice is a huge portion of delicious rice, but the taste isn't that much different from fried rice found at other chinese places. It pairs well with the chicken wings, but if you decided to make rice at home it would probably feel the same. The seafood soup and fried rice are a bit bland in my opinion. I enjoy the wings and chow mein. The honey walnut prawns and sweet and sour fish are also good. I've wanted to try their calamari, but they said they haven't served calamari in years. I suggest they update their menu since some items may be outdated. Their chili sauce is homemade and delicious. They also give complimentary sesame balls at the end of your meal. I really appreciate the service and cleanliness of this restaurant. I've noticed the workers sanitizing the sauce bottles when I dined in. They also have hand sanitizer on each table and the bathroom is clean. The servers are attentive. Chicken Chowmein is the reason for not the extra star, lol. I couldn't get over the texture of the noodles and the dact it comes with cabbage was new to me. The noodles were WET textured. Like they boiled it in water. Broccoli & Fish was good for me, nice crunchy broccoli & fish was steamed pretty good. Only complaint was the texture of the chowmein.
