Garlic wings, chow mein, broccoli beef, fried rice
    lexis b.

I have been doing togos here for the garlic chicken wings over five years.. I recently dined in with my friends and it was amazing. The side orders of fried rice and chow mein were enough to feed three adults and four kids... the garlic chicken wings are amazing If you go here you have to get these.. the service was good. Our server was very sweet and attentive. The ambience is more fast pace and families also doing a feast style. They also have a lot of Legos everywhere so you have to keep your kids very close. Us having four kids under 6 they were definitely trying to grab the knickknacks.

We had been hearing about this spot from our friends in Vallejo for a while--they always rave about the garlic soy wings and even say they're better than San Tung in San Francisco. On top of that, former Golden State Warriors player Festus Ezeli has been here and said he loved the wings, so we had to check it out while we were in the area. When we got there, it was already busy, but we were glad we were able to get a table right away. Good thing we came when we did, because a wait started forming shortly after. We did have to wait a bit for our food, but it was understandable--they had a steady flow of call-in and DoorDash orders going out. We ordered the garlic soy wings, salt and pepper fish, and shrimp fried rice. First off, the shrimp fried rice actually had real, good-sized shrimp--not those tiny ones you sometimes get--which we really appreciated. The wings were flavor town: crispy, packed with flavor, and super satisfying. Even though you can see peppers in the dish, there wasn't really a spicy kick, which is different from San Tung, where there's usually a slight heat. That said, even without the spice, these wings absolutely live up to the hype. The salt and pepper fish was also a standout--crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Overall, I can see why people compare this place to San Tung. They're both delicious, just in their own way.

I'd heard about this place before it popped off on social media, but finally tried it after seeing all this talk about the garlic sauce chicken wings. While it was good, I believe that it doesn't compare to San Tung's because it's in its own league. The wings here were less saucy, but crispy. Different flavor to San Tung's wings and I kinda wish food influencers didn't compare the two, but instead just highlighted this place for its good food and awesome decor (Lego sets!). My bf and I also tried the pineapple fried rice, which was recommended to us by my friend (Vallejo native who frequented 3 Star), the garlic string beans, and salt and pepper prawns. My favorite dish was the salt and pepper prawns, but everything was flavorful and delicious to us. The food tasted clean, not heavily oiled. We went during dinnertime on a Friday and there were a lot of phone-in and to-go orders, so they were busy. There were only like 2 people working in the front, so service was a bit slow. We didn't mind because we understood how busy they were! We would love to come again and try more foods.

3 Star has become a local favorite in town. It specializes in Chinese and Filipino cuisine. Nothing fancy but some foods that you might eat in Filipino and or Chinese homes. I know because I am both Filipino and Chinese as well as skilled in the kitchen. My father and brother come here quite often so it's a rare occasion for me but I wanted a soup that my dad orders. The beef stew noodle soup. It's a large portion with a tasty broth and lots of vegetables and even bok choy. My only thing is normally the meat is cooked extremely tender but not quite in this case. Nevertheless i would still recommend 3 because it's reasonable in price and the service is friendly.

Been hearing so much about 3 Star restaurant the past couple years and mostly about how they have better wings than San Tung so I had to check it out. I went with the garlic sauce wings, salt & pepper wings, and green beans. The wings were pretty good, especially the garlic sauce wings. It was crispy, sticky, and sweet just like the Dry Fried Wings from San Tung. With that being said, I felt like the flavor isn't as good and it was a tad bit too salty in my opinion. Super friendly staff and everything came out hot and fresh. It's not quite San Tung, but I definitely recommend giving 3 star a try.

Always my favorite spot, never had a dish I didn't love! Lately they have been slammed since they blew up on IG and TT because of their garlic sauce chicken wings. Whenever I come in, either for dine in or to-go, they definitely try their best to get their food out as quickly as possible, but everyone should understand they are a small family run business & they definitely want their food to have quality, so please be patient. Today we ordered to-go...Chicken corn soup, crispy fried chicken, garlic sauce chicken wings, beef & broccoli, pancit miki-bihon, and steamed fish. Oh sooo good.

This is what everyone is raving about. I'm not gonna be making any comparisons to other wing places. All I'm gonna say is that this is a good fried chicken wing. It was sauced up perfectly. Every bite had a crunch that didn't hurt the roof of my mouth. It's fried perfectly and it reminds me of crunchy Korean fried chicken. We got served mostly flats which I liked. I can see why they went viral for these wings. We got other stuff to like the fried rice and dry string bean. Those two dishes paired well with the wings being our main entrée. The service was great, considering they were already packed within the first hour and a half of opening up. You're surrounded by finished LEGO structures & the tables are kind of close to each other. My wife has been going here for years with her family. This is only my second time around. Did you know they also serve Filipino food? Give their silogs a try, they were pretty decent the first time I went around. They had a bunch of food ready to go and people coming in and out the door every few minutes. It seemed like everyone dining in, had to get an order of these wings. Overall, I would come back here if I was craving these wings again. Well done.

Today's visit was 3 Stars in Vallejo, CA. I will jump into the customer service. Upon entering the establishment, the waitress asked me whether I wanted to dine in or do a To-Go order. I said Dine-In. She sat us down--no menus, no water, no nothing. My son had to get the menu off a nearby table. We looked over at others. They were sitting down waiting for their food. There was a large party that ordered everything on the menu. They were here long before us. So there should have been some acknowledgement of my table. We were hungry and ready to eat. The wait staff kept walking around to everyone but us. No lie, I was super annoyed by the time the wait staff came to us. The young man was nice, but they only had two people waiting on tables and doing to-go orders. They've got to hire more staff. Until then, I might not visit. It didn't take long for the food to arrive to the table. The salt-and-pepper chicken was super salty. I won't order that again. The skin was super crunchy. If I make it back, I'll try the regular chicken. I needed hella water. The house fried rice was okay. Nothing special about it. It was plain. I put it in the chicken sauce I had, and it was much better. The garlic string beans were great when paired with those onions. They were crispy when you bit into them. I love those. The garlic sauce chicken was the best thing I had there. If I had to order from there, I would get that alone. It would be a great serving size for two folks. I ordered salt & pepper prawns, but they couldn't get them to the table in time for us to try them hot. Bring your own drinks. I'm not sure if they provide any. It was so packed inside the restaurant that I didn't see a soda fountain. Maybe order To-Go?

GARLIC SAUCE CHICKEN WINGS. MUST. ORDER.
    Leonora S.

Little restaurant in a shopping plaza that provides a warm family vibe and good customer service! Order the GARLIC SAUCE CHICKEN WINGS! I go here specifically for this and eat it there. In my opinion, it's their specialty. The chicken flats are tossed in a tasty sticky sweet spicy glaze, dried chili peppers, and onions. Although it's tossed in a sauce, it retains its crispiness! The flavors of all the ingredients are infused to the bone! Eat this with plain steamed rice (put some sauce on top of it) and you are set! I even eat the dried chili peppers! It's so good! You don't need to travel to SF to get something that you can get in your own hometown! (I even say better!)

Salt & pepper fish was ok. We ordered extra onions since we love them.
    MARJORIE S.

Nice family owned business. Garlic sauce chicken wings and dry cooked green beans were AMAZING! Be ready to wait as it gets busy. Popular spot for dining in, phonedin orders and those just walking in to place a to go order. Restaurant had cool Lego displays and was a very clean establishment. We thought the egg soup and salt & pepper fish were under seasoned. We can't wait to come back to try their other dishes. Huge variety of Chinese and Filipino dishes.

    Menu (3/21/26)

We came to 3 Star Restaurant just before 7pm for their hyped Garlic Sauce Chicken Wings. The place was packed and a madhouse! No one was available to greet us and seat us as they were so busy with all the takeout, so we just found our own table and groaned our own menus. There was one lady working all the take out orders and one lady working the dine in customers. We waited just over 20 minutes before our order was taken. I did try to wave the waitress down to take our order and was told that we will have to wait and she eventually came back. The food came out relatively fast once our order was taken (a lot faster than waiting to place our order). When the waitress brought out the first couple dishes she noticed we had no plates and utensils, she joked "just use your fingers, ok" before she ran back to get plates and utensils. When she came back, we literally were using our fingers which gave her a chuckle. There was a couple tables in the center of the restaurant that was taken over with all their take out orders and people standing all around the center tables waiting to place their take out order or waiting for their order. It was kind of an organized-disorganized chaos in there. Food (4.5/5): everything was delicious and portions were generous. - Garlic Sauce Chicken Wings: people have been hyping these wings up on social media saying they are comparable to or better than "San Tung" in San Tung in San Francisco. They were excellent, good crispiness and very flavorful. I wouldn't say they are better than "San Tung", but if you can make it to S.F., then there wings may be the best in the area. - House Special Hong Kong Style Pan Fried Noodles: good overall, but in my opinion, needed stronger flavors. - Yang Chow Fried Rice: has shrimp, chicken and chopped up Chinese sausage in it. Good flavor, but I would like it to be slightly saltier. - Honey Sauce Pork Chops: from the name, you probably can guess that this dish is sweet. My kids really liked it, but if you are not into sweet meat, then you should pass on this one and go with the Salt & Pepper Pork Chops. - Salt & Pepper Eggplant: basically salt & pepper pork chops, but replace the pork with eggplant. The eggplant has a nice crispy batter and cooked perfectly, so it's not mushy. The twist of flavor that I did not expect was dried black beans which really enhanced the flavor of this dish. Service (1 Star): outside of taking your order and bringing you your order, there was virtually no service. Like I stated above, we had to seat ourselves, grab our own menus, wave down the waitress to place our order, to get water, to get boxes for our leftovers and to get our bill. They definitely looked short staffed as there was only 1 waitress working the dine-in customers and 1 person working the take-out customers. Ambiance (2/5 Stars): CHAOTIC!!! When we arrived the restaurant was pretty packed with only a few open tables and a couple dirty tables from prior customers. There was a ton of people standing around the center tables (where they placed the completed take out orders) waiting to place their take out order or waiting to pick up their take out order. All along the walls were different LEGO decors which was fun to look at. They were so busy today that they were sold out of beef, string beans, chow fun and fish. They close at 9pm, but they locked their door so no new customers could come in and had to unlock the door to let customers out. This is my first visit here and based on this visit, there name 3 Stars fits my rating. Was their much hyped Garlic Sauce Chicken Wings worth the chaos and wait....maybe. I am not sure if the business is always this chaotic, but I would come back in the future for their wings and other offerings. Hopefully things wouldn't be this chaotic the next time.

If you like wings with garlic sauce this might be a place you could try. We come here mainly for this and they always cook them perfect every time Hot, crispy and the right amount of spice. I was introduce to this m from my mom and we been coming back when we crave these wings. I don't usually like saucy wings but this is an exception. Service is good and we call in the order for pick up and eat it up at home.

The garlic chicken wings are legit crispy, saucy, spicy kick with a hint of onions and salt flavors. Is it San Tungs? Does it matter? It's a wonderful tasty wings that hits my flavor cravings. I've found my commute wing stop. I'll try their other classics like dried fried green beans, and crispy garlic tofu and eggplant. But the wings I'll come back for over and over again. Service is on the slower side but can't complain once you take a bite of these sweet garlicky wings.

I've heard of Yi Ji Chang Fen but only tried it today. I've eaten so much dim sum in my lifetime, so my standard for dim sum may be higher. We came around 5PM on a Saturday and there wasn't anyone really there. It could be because dim sum feels more like a morning or lunch thing, or it could just be because we were there for a very early dinner. Between our party, we shared: - Marinated Chicken and Mushroom Rice Roll - Stuffed Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf - Steamed Chicken Feet w/ Black Bean Sauce - Black Gold Egg Custard Buns - Chicken Feet with Herbs - Dry Style Beef Chow Fun And one Honey Lemon Tea for me. The honey lemon tea was a comfort for the cold day. Maybe a bit too much honey, but still good for the throat during the dry season. The chow fun came first and surprisingly it was not bad. There was a bit of 'wok hey' there and it stands out as one of the better dishes we had. As for the rice roll - I wanted to try something less conventional and I've never seen chicken in rice rolls, so I thought it would be interesting to try. It was quite disappointing though. Their rice roll was bigger than normal in width so with rice rolls being a struggle to pick up already, the bigger size made it an even bigger struggle. Everything just slipped out of the rice roll and it wasn't evenly wrapped. There were some bunched up layers on the edges. I think the chicken just didn't pair that well either and it was lacking in ingredients. Maybe the more conventional rice rolls would be better. For the two types of chicken feet, I normally like the one in herbal soup. If made well, the chicken feet has a nice flavor to it. For Yi Fen's herbal chicken feet, their portion was pretty good, but flavor was less prominent. I enjoyed the chicken feet in black bean sauce more because the flavor was better. Lastly, for the stuffed sticky rice and black gold egg custard buns, I suspect that these are not made in-house, but rather store-bought. The sticky rice lacked ingredients and the rice was a little harder than if made fresh. And the perfectly shaped black buns with a golden brush stroke on top (which I've seen all over the internet) seemed too elevated-looking compared to everything else. I'm not the biggest fan of molten lava buns, but they came out nicely. I didn't have any, but the molten lava custard was pretty runny. All in all, an okay experience. Service was a bit lacking. I don't recommend the dim sum dishes, but if I happen to want congee, I may give this place another go. Apart from the dim sum and rice rolls, the noodles I glimpsed from other customers looked not bad. I wonder if other locations are better.
