Being able to look out on the lake while eating dinner is great, however, the food was exceedingly low quality, leaving a lot to be desired. I was looking forward to a nice evening out, but between the food and mediocre service we left disappointed. The food was good. The restaurant was clean. The servers were kind and perfectly attentive. The live music was pretty good also. We enjoyed fireworks over the lake while dining. The tables were sticky. Most likely because they are real wood and cleaned with industrial cleaner. Overall it was a good experience. We will be back. read more

How can you burn deep fried fish? My husband ordered the beer, batter, fish and chips and the fish came out burned. We were very disappointed. I ordered the shrimp tacos. Taco only had two shrimps. They were so overcooked they were desiccated and i could've choked on. read more

Made reservations to be seated outside and the host told us it was first come first serve even with the reservations. Did not get a chance to try the food. The table was sticky. I can't speak on the food but you will not catch me going there again. read more

Great location and great view but the food was lacking and the inside didn't seem clean to me with a musty carpet smell. I cannot say it was bad food but someone at our table ordered a lobster roll for almost $20 and got 1/2 a hotdog roll filled with lobster. For $20 we expected at least the whole hotdog roll. Other than that, my kids got chicken tenders and a cheeseburger. Burger was burned like blackened but the chicken tenders were good. I ordered a pasta dish and it was swimming in sauce and somewhat tasteless. We made a reservation and when we arrived we were told they only had one table left outside. We took it but the seating was extremely uncomfortable and hot metal seats from them cooking in the sun could have burned our skin if we didn't wear long pants/ sweaters! So overall the 3 stars go to a great view and nice enough waitress. read more

We found this place during a drive to Western MA and loved it! Beautiful lakeside view for the outside dining with patio heaters. Food was pretty good! Just four stars because service was just a tad slow but we will definitely be back next time we are in the area! read more

Won't be going back. "GRILLED REUBEN PANINI $9.95 Classic piled high with lean corned beef, swiss cheese, russian dressing and sauerkraut, served on light rye bread" See photos... It was far from "piled high" there wasn't 2 ounces of meat in the whole sandwich and no sauerkraut to speak of, cheese had melted out and if there was any dressing, you couldn't taste it. That was the most expensive lousy sandwich I've ever had. It certainly didn't live up to its description on the menu. read more

We had a reservation which went smoothly. Hostess was very nice and service by Sarah was very good. Food was hot and fresh. Restaurant is clean. We each ordered steak tips. My friend ordered rare and they were. I ordered mine medium rare but they were medium-medium well. Flavor was excellent and the baked potato and veggies were very good. Our steak was very tough. The noise level also made it difficult to hear each other. Chocolate torte and coffee were excellent. Prices are average. read more

This place is always good, and we always get a table with a great view of the lake. The salmon with baked potato and veggies were perfectly cooked and delicious. Service was friendly, prompt, and enjoyable. I'll be going back when I'm next in Worcester County. read more

Wish I could of stayed longer. I was in your restaurant today. Around 6:30 was sat by your hostess. She asked where we would like to sit. We asked for the window. Which was where she sat us. We waited 20 min after being sat with nobody coming to our table to help us. My wife then went to the same hostess that sat us and asked when we would see our server. She looked at my wife and said where did you sit I never seen you come in... excuse me.. you sat us lady. And then finally we get our waiter who comes to us to appoligize. I look at him and said we have been sitting here for 20 min. And he looks at me, mind you with his shaded sun glasses on and says my bad buddy.. excuse me again BUDDY! This is how your staff spoke to your customers tonight.. and yes my wife and I left with a very rude reception by your waiter after deciding to leave.. worst experience here every. Have been there 3-4 times. The first time okay, second time the service was off, and the past two times the service was just awful. Last night, the waitress asked if we wanted drinks. We said that he haven't looked at the drink menu yet, but could we get a couple waters for now? The waitresses response was pointing to a jug of water and telling us we could help ourselves. If I'm paying $25 for a meal, I'm not interested in helping myself; I could do that at home. Eventually, we asked her what the flatbread pizza special was. She pointed us towards the special board on a wall, and told us we could find all the specials on the board (given the fact that the board couldn't be seen from the table, she might as well have said "get up and look"). This place relies on the fact that they're the only restaurant in the area. Would not recommend. In response to "Tom", from Lakeside, who claims these are both false. I wouldn't leave a negative review on false pretenses. We were sitting outside, and I promise you, both of these instances were true. There was a water cooler with cups next to it. I have no reason to make this up. I really want to like this restaurant, but unfortunately the service has always been an issue. read more

Great food! Great view! Nachos have queso style cheese and are loaded (except last time the portion was much smaller than usual). I get the fish tacos every time I go. Fresh fish, lightly breaded... delicious. Margaritas aren't great - tastes like a sugary powder mix and there's salt at the bottom of the glass. They do have a couple of craft beers to choose from; not a lot. I've never had a server who wasn't genuinely friendly. It can get loud inside. Lots of locals. From the start the manager of this restaurant treated our party rudely. We are a group of motorcycle enthusiasts who are part of an organization that helps children. We were there for lunch and through previous experiences thought it was a good place. The manager actually said that she could refuse us service if she wanted and told other patrons "Don't worry I won't seat you by that bunch". In this day and age it should not be okay to discriminate against a party just by the way we look. We were paying customers not just there for a cup of hot water and ketchup. I am deeply saddened that this is the way someone in a leadership role would act towards their patrons. With Covid hurting the restaurant business is that the right message you want to send? I suggest that you avoid this place. The views maybe nice but the manager is not. read more

Excellent food and rustic country restaurant overlooking a lake. It has outside dining options and that is also accessible even by boat.

We placed an order for 5 people, so it was several items total order cost 85.00. The fish and onion rings and coleslaw. Horrible!! the fish was dried out, the onion rings burnt, and the coleslaw gave off a scarry smell. The hotdog and fries, was suppose to come with a drink and ice cream, which was left off. The hotdog served in the toasted roll was cold, and shriveled. No ketchup mustard were also missing. The potato skins were burnt dried out and for lack of a better word gross. Clam chowder was oily no not buttery oily like as if someone poured it on top, and cold like it had been in a crock pot set on warm for hours. The nachos were even more gross than the rest, cold corn and beans over stale chips. the cheese not even noticeable in it. We chose this place because we are planning a fundraiser and just want to taste different levels of food for our event. We will look elsewhere. read more

This place has been slipping for a while. Went in Mother's Day, made a reservation in advance & it would have been nice if someone told me they would not be seating outside and running a special (limited) menu. 4/6 dishes offered were seafood, which is does not work for my family. The time before last my clam chowder was sour.... trust me when I tell you I look forward to a good cup of chowder so sending it back was soul crushing. There was no apology and the waitress didn't take it off my bill until I asked about it. My family and I used to love this place, but our last few visits have been very subpar. read more

This is the first time I get food here. The staff are good and the atmosphere are impressive. I go with my sister. The first time, I order baked haddock something, but it isn't fresh and smell so bad. So, I ask for change to avocado chicken. I cant finish all. I wrap it up for come home and I found a piece of plastic in my food. my sister orders chicken sub. It isn't well done but we let it go. Meh. The food is acceptable, but nothing special even by a long shot. I come here with my parents because my Mom likes the lakeside view and the fried oysters, which is nice. The service is good, and I appreciate that. This meal: musician WAY too loud for indoors. Fajita steak drowning in oil, salsa from a jar, subpar cheese from a bag, and an overwhelming sense of MEH for the whole experience. If you have standards, skip this place. Smothered New York steak was what I could get at Walmart all grizzle and veggies were raw. Drinks were only thing that was good. The restaurant was very tastefully decorated for the holidays with greenery and lights and red ribbons hanging from the chandeliers! They had a special of Seafood Alfredo that was so delicious. It was heaping with Alaskan King Crab, scallops, shrimp and mussels. A little messy for well worst the trouble. The Kung Pau Brussel sprouts as an appetizer was so good! The sweet tangy sauce with peanuts is just the right combination with the sprouts. read more

This is a great spot, it's very busy, the only problem is the food isn't really that great. It's good in some cases, but in most cases it's just OK. The Caesar salad was nice, but the grilled chicken in it was bland and tasteless. They've got a great bar, lottery and keno, a great outdoor section over the lake is beautiful, and friendly staff. They also have live music sometimes. They are just often slammed with customers. You have to go at least just once to experience this place. read more

We believe you will find the food at 308 Lakeside to be quite satisfying, but perhaps the best feature of this pleasant local restaurant is their staff. Each time we have visited we have been served by friendly, efficient personnel, and today was the apex. Jillian was our waitress, a lovely young lady with a ready smile and sense of humor. Shortly after being seated on the deck to enjoy a warm May afternoon dinner, an unexpected rain/wind squall arose. Immediately, Jill went into action, moving us - and our orders - out of the rain into the dining room. Throughout the meal she remained attentive, anticipating our needs or desires. The cost of this fine dinner for three persons was less than what I normally pay elsewhere for just my wife and me. What could I hope for to make it a perfect dining experience? Perhaps more parking spaces; the lot is extremely small, and valet parking is not always available. And, oh, yes, perhaps no shell remnants in the fried oysters? Stoped at lakeside for lunch the staff was great we ordered a tuna appetizer that was awesome. Next we ordered burgers my wife ordered hers medium I ordered mine medium rare. The burgers came my wife's was fine mine however was raw not rare I told our server and she took the burger back so here's my issue instead of making me a new one they refired mine and threw more cheese on it as to hide the fact that they didn't make a new one . It was brought back out to our table the server then said she would comp. the meal . However when the bill came the meal was still on the bill I paid for it anyway without saying anything. So I guess if we ever go back it will be for the tuna appetizer and nothing else . read more

Jillian the hostess was extremely accommodating and went out of her way to ensure we were seated where we requested. She truly made our entire experience more enjoyable due to her attention to our needs. Thank you Jillian! The waitress was also exceptional allowing us to enjoy a leisurely afternoon, never making us feel rushed. The cocktails were fabulous as well as the ahi tuna, pastrami flatbread, lakeside salad and cheesecake with strawberries.. We have also been there before and can also recommend any of their seafood dishes..Great place for a delicious meal with a view! We will be back for sure.. read more

Maybe the 308 has changed cooks or the manager for the worse. Was told they only had one vegetable for a side which seems very odd. Tried to order a desert and was told it was frozen and was not available which is very odd too. Ordered the nachos and they did not come out as described in the menu ( no onion ,no cherry peppers, no black beans, no pico de gallo ) and after eating them my stomach was not right all night. Most of our past experiences at the 308 was above average but this past time it was a total mess on a few fronts. Only way this happens is a lack of management. Maybe a few people were simply on vacation either mentally or physically or maybe even both. Wont be back anytime soon but when we do, Ill give an update. read more

Jennifer, our server was absolutely outstanding. The best server I have EVER encounter. Professional and welcoming. We started with potato skins. Delicious. My husband ordered the burger. Great. I ordered the shrimp scampi. I was very disappointed. First there was no seasoning at all. Also the tails were left on the Shrimp. While is preferred on an appetizer it is not when they are part of the entree. All in all the experience was a good one thanks to Jennifer. But I will not order the scampi again. read more

I ordered the fish and chips, which was very good, but when I tasted the fried clams that my mom had ordered I wished I had ordered them, amazing! We will definitely be back!
