I started coming here a few months ago when I noticed my nails were getting thinner and thinner from getting dip at a different salon. When I first came here, they paired me with Zhanna and I've back been back numerous times since. She is what I consider a nail Doctor, who immediately gave me a plan of what we would do to make my nails stronger, starting with a full set, then fill, now builder gel. I've never had a technician care about the health of my nails and work so hard and getting rid of skin build up and widening my nail bed. Her pedicures are beautiful too. I had been getting mani pedis from another salon that, because of the shape, were either not lasting or causing ingrowns. Thanks for the response, however, my daughter had reported that it was the manicurist's second day on the job, and the nails fell off right away. Yes the supplies were used, but the manicure/pedicure was not done properly. With her out of town, the promise of coming back and being able to have them redone is not really an option. She will probably not be back in town for another year, and there's no certificate that she can use for future service. This makes it an empty promise. I understand that you made an iron clad police to protect you, but what about when your service messed up? This does not show that you look out for the customer. read more

I had a pedicure and the service was very poor. The lady who did my nails did not do a good job cleaning up my nail beds and did not listen when I asked her to cut the sides of my toenail because of the way my nail tends to grow. When I was finished the worst part was there was no where for me to dry my nails. Their nail drying station was broken and it looked like it hadn't been used in months with cords hanging everywhere. For how much they charge I would expect to not have to walk out of the salon with wet nails! read more

I had an appointment and went in for a no chip manicure. The tech asked if I wanted the nails shortened and I said no, keep the length just clean up. She proceeded to cut the nails (I thought maybe to straighten out). Then she did the color then filed. When I saw the first hand I realized she chopped off all the length and after filing my nails were under my fingertips. When I pointed this out the manager told me they would grow in two weeks. She then insisted she did not cut the length. It is actually uncomfortable for me to type right now. In addition when I had my nails in the device to harden the polish I complained that it felt like it was burning. She told me this was normal. I have had no chip before and this is not normal. I am very upset at the service and the attitude I received. I have gone there several times a year but will be looking for a new salon. read more

The owner Joe swore at my daughter! I went to 312 Nails and Spa in Wheeling hoping to treat myself to a relaxing dip powder manicure and pedicure--but it turned out to be one of the worst and most painful experiences I've ever had at a nail salon. The nail technician, Tina, used the electric file so aggressively that she actually nicked my skin and left my nails feeling raw and sore. The dip powder was applied sloppily, with product all over my fingers and uneven shaping. The final result looked nothing like what I asked for--just lumpy, crooked nails that were painful to the touch. My pedicure was no better--uneven toenails, poorly filed, different lengths, and polish smeared outside the nail beds. I left the salon feeling frustrated and embarrassed. When I got home, I was visibly upset. My daughter called the salon to explain what happened. Joe the manager asked us to come in so they could fix it. I hoped they would take accountability and treat me with respect. Instead, we were met with even worse treatment. Joe the OWNER came out and immediately acted rude and dismissive. He kept saying "What's wrong?" in a mocking, sarcastic tone, as if I didn't have a right to be upset about the condition of my nails. When my daughter calmly tried to explain, he pointed his finger in her face and actually swore at her. Yes--the owner of the salon cursed at my daughter instead of apologizing or trying to make things right. The manager, also named Joe? offered to redo the nails, but at that point, I was already in pain from the poor application and overuse of tools. I asked to have the nails removed and to receive a refund, but they refused, claiming my nails were "perfect." I could barely believe it. This nail salon in Wheeling is not only unprofessional, but also disrespectful and unsafe. If you're looking for a nail spa near me, or the best place for a dip powder manicure and pedicure, do not come here or any of their other locations. The owner and manager do not deserve your business. They clearly have no quality standards, no customer service, and no respect for their clients--especially elderly ones like me. I later saw they have a D rating with the Better Business Bureau, and I'm not surprised. I wish I had read the reviews before walking in. I left hurt, humiliated, and with damaged nails. DO NOT GO TO THIS NAIL SALON! THIS IS YOUR WARNING. DO. NOT. GO. I had an appalling experience at this salon that not only demonstrated a complete disregard for basic professionalism, but also raised serious questions about licensing and training. I came in for a Gel-X set and a pedicure--services I've had many times at reputable salons without issue. What I received here was not only sloppy but flat out dangerous. The nail tech, Cindy, cured glue directly onto the skin of my fingers. This isn't a minor mistake--it's an egregious violation of industry health and safety standards. Curing nail adhesive on the skin can lead to severe allergic reactions, including medical grade adhesives like those used in titanium implants. This dangerous exposure can create allergies, contact dermatitis, and obviously pain. This is not just poor workmanship--it's a liability. When I calmly addressed the issue, the man at the front desk confronted the nail tech in front of me and other clients, demanding an explanation. Cindy deflected all responsibility and claimed it was my fault for choosing Gel-X, stating my nails were "too small." If that were genuinely a concern, she should've refused the service up front. That's what a professional does. Instead, she went ahead, botched the job, and placed the blame on me. The nails were misshapen, uneven, and painfully thick--chunky to the point of being unusable. I could not use my fingers. She also cut me multiple times. I normally do my own nails, and frankly, I could have and should've have done better with a basic kit at home. They refused to soak off the set, refused to fix the issue, and refused to issue a full refund. I was told to "go somewhere else" for a correction and only received a partial refund ($40). For context, I spent $120 at this salon for these basic nails and a pedicure. The pedicure chipped the same day and also looked terrible. All of this happened the day before prom. I then had to go to another salon, pay $65 out of pocket to have the nails safely soaked off and redone correctly, and explain the situation to professionals who were frankly shocked by the condition of the set I arrived with. The nail techs at the other salon were impressed with the pricing and job done to my nails. They also expressed just how terrible these nails were. To make matters worse, I was hung up on multiple times when I tried to call back and escalate the issue. No apology, no accountability--just dismissal and silence. This place operates with zero concern for customer safety, zero accountability, and questionable training at best. If Cindy's work reflects the salon's standards, it's hard to believe she's licensed at all. Avoid this salon at all costs. There are too many qualified, responsible nail techs out there to risk this kind of experience. DO NOT GO. read more

I went in for an overlay nail job on my own nails and I did not believe this work was worth the price charged. Techs try to sell you other services and make you feel pressured. High dollar in my opinion and my fingers hurt for 2 days. They had many hang nails. I personally don't recommend. They did not have colored powders which I asked for. The level of unprofessionalism and lack of communication/ understanding what the client is simply asking for here is the biggest problem. I had a rubber base on my nails (which is just simple gel base strengthener so they don't break, not acrylic or anything so extreme) they didn't understand what it was (due to their lack of knowledge on modern techniques) and so I kept telling them exactly what to do (as this wasn't my first time doing this), buff off the color and smooth out the nail (as u normally would anyway for a manicure) and just go forward with a gel MANICURE. It's not a big deal, u can hardly tell the difference between my nail and the extra light layer of strengthener on top of my nail. They kept saying they need to soak my nails and remove the layer or do an acrylic fill... this was not necessary and very extreme, as I already explained to them exactly how to proceed. The manager and Nina, the nail tech doing my pedicure, agreed and said she would do that. All of a sudden when it came time to do my manicure, I was now assigned to a very rude male who didn't even greet me with any courtesy or a hello. before I even sat down at his chair, he rudely just asked, without even making simple eye contact , "what do you want? ", I took a moment waited till he made eye contact and said "HI, HOW ARE YOU?!", this is basic simple human courtesy. I explained again for the third time now what i previously explained to the manager and Nina, that we are just buffing off the current gel color and doing a simple gel manicure, nothing complicated about it. He proceeds to try and convince me to get acrylic fill which I told him I'm not interested in as this is not something I have ever done and plus I'm pregnant and trying to avoid the extra chemicals involved. Iv done this process many times at other salons and it's literally never been such an issue. I'd just simply like to proceed with a GEL MANICURE! He says ok and proceeds to try and just do a color change; at this point I had to AGAIN explain, no we are doing a manicure! So he goes straight into cutting my cuticles... I said aren't I going to soak my nails and push the cuticles first? I do my nails myself enough to know how this basic process goes and he says no, and was refusing to follow standard manicure practice. When I asked very confused, why? He just got up and said I can't do ur nails and just quit, ARE YOU KIDDING?! The manager comes back and again starts trying to tell me that my nails will be "uneven" unless they do acrylic, which is incorrect because I have done this many times and would simply like them to just do what I'm asking! I told him I heard what u think and u have done your due diligence of "warning" me that you THINK the outcome won't be great and I heard you and have accepted the risk of moving forward with what I have decided. At the end of the day; your job is to simply do what the client is asking, it's not my problem you don't know what a rubber base is and can't follow simple instructions. He told me "ok ok I will have another tech come help just give me a few minutes" but at this point this was way more stressful than it needed to be and I told him forget it and that I will just go home and do my own gel manicure. All they had to do was simply follow my instructions and provide a simple gel manicure without overthinking the matter, it would have been fine. But the lack of understanding and poor communication and professionalism cost them a customer. This was supposed to be a relaxing experience and it was extremely stressful and upsetting. I had gone in to get a fill for powder gel on 4/26/2024, which I had first originally gotten the full set powder gel at 312 Nails in Arlington Heights, IL. These both were okay and in my opinion, the Arlington Heights location did a better job. It lasted about a week before my nails were chipping off in some areas. I went in today, 5/5/2024, to just get them removed because I was done with have them on and looking broken. It wasn't a pleasant experience for either me or the nail technician, considering the consistent filing and soaking for each finger. AND they still didn't get everything off. I was nice and patient with the nail tech as she tried what she could. I thought, "well it is what it is" and the price for nail removal is $5 by 312 Nails' standards. I go up to checkout in which the man at the front tells me it's $20. I said, "what? I just got them removed and I had gotten them done here (the Wheeling location) for a fill." He just said, "I know, but it was hard to take off so it's $20." How is that my fault?? Now, my nails are left brittle and weak with still some powder gel on. I still paid, and I never leave bad reviews, but this is truly unacceptable. Why would I come at all if the state of my nails would be left like this? YOU are supposed to be the professionals with the expertise to be able to take off the nails YOU put on. Place is huge, looks clean and modern. Went in there first time, I wasn't sure what to expect and since I've been meaning to try the dip manicure. Staff were helpful and recommended me to give it a try and I'm happy I did. They even offered drinks as a complimentary, I just didn't need it. Julie was my technician, she was great at it. I had dip manicure and regular foot spa pedicure with polish with a total of $80.00 plus tip of course. Horrible first experience here. Front desk staff was pounding a Red Bull and oblivious to me when I walked in. I had to clear my throat 3 times before he looked up to acknowledge me. I needed old gel polish removed, and when I indicated to the nail tech that I prefer he not use the electric file, he tried to convince me that it's better than removing the polish by hand. I had to advocate for myself and insist he not do it his preferred (easier, faster) way... and then he pouted the rest of the time. Never once made eye contact or spoke to me or asked how I was doing. Had to ask him twice to cut my nails short (as requested). I had to remind him to remove the cuticles on my left hand. He texted in front of me while waiting for my nails to cure. He repeatedly insisted I stop making a claw with my hands. I had to tell him twice that I cannot help it, that I have arthritis. When he finished, I asked him to wipe the lotion off my nails. Instead of doing what any other nail tech has done after a gel polish (quickly wipe them down with alcohol), he insisted I get up and wash my hands. I did so, and there was no trash can under the paper towel dispenser. Also -- they had construction guys hammering and adding something? Loud banging. Less than a "spa like" experience. I showed for my appointment on time (a few minutes early actually) and was told to take a seat in one of the pedi chairs.
