Ate @ 3rd on main probably at the worst time (first Friday 30 minutes before close time) and they manage to deliver a delicious burger with crispy fresh fries. It did take about 30 minutes to get my food but it was expected as the place was full and had a long line waiting. A bigger selection of beers will make the place a dash more interesting. While driving through town, I decided to drop in at about 2pm because I was ravenous. The place was clean, spacious and a cool retreat from the Texas heat. There were 5 customers- quiet. This place is small and homey, with a Southern vibe. I went with a friend and we ordered the Morning After breakfast item, which is 2 cornbread pancakes with pulled pork, queso, eggs, and potatoes. It was very flavorful, and an interesting combination of sweet and savory for sure. The cornbread pancakes were very unique and delicious! Definitely a pretty heavy meal--we both got full pretty quickly even though we split the dish. I will not be back here. We sat waiting on our food for more than 30 minutes after our order was placed. When it was received the bacon on the burger has only 40% cooked and the bottom bun was only a half of a piece of a bun. The girl that brought us our food (blonde hair and glasses) was unfriendly and made a mess all over the table smearing queso everywhere. This is the EXACT reason I hate giving a tip at the counter when ordering. The manager was visible and I kept hoping he would make his way to our table but he never did. Wow. Great little place in Downtown Bryan. A lot of Breakfast and burger spin-offs with some other fare and sandwiches. The "Night Before" dish was amazing. Flavors of the cheese, Egg, burger patty and cornbread pancake all meld together nicely. Add the excellent fries and wow. Only suggestion would be to get some of the quest on the fries or extra on the side. It is that good! read more

If you don't mind waiting for your food, then 3rd on Main is a great dining spot. Their burgers are something special, and the people working there are kind. I've only gone on Sundays for brunch, so that explains why it's so crowded, but the food more than makes up for the wait. Found this place while passing through Bryan on a short road trip and we were very pleased. We got an order of the fries with pulled pork and queso and they were AMAZING! Seriously, so good. I ordered the chicken and waffles and the chicken was so moist and crisp and the waffles were crispy which is the perfect combination. It was delicious. My wife got a grilled chicken salad, which I didn't try but she said it was one of the best salads she has had. I'll definitely go back if I ever pass through again. read more

First of all 3rd on main kitchen is so small that they dont have reserved seating, so even if you order your food youre not even guaranteed a spot to sit. Second, service is terrible. We waited literally over an hour for our food just for the chicken and waffles to be cold and the italian sausage to be Mid asf. Over all just over priced mid food in a terribly managed place. Went with a group of friends, and 3 of us ended up with food poisoning. The 3 of us each had an order of the cheesy grits. The grits came out very clumpy, and there was an odd taste. One friend said it best, "it's like they were saved, reheated, and served on another day." One of us ordered eggs medium and they were served undercooked. Egg whites were very watery. Staff was somewhat friendly. When you walk in, the menu is on a QR code, and you order at the register. The issue here is... there was a staff member shouting these directions from the other side of the restaurant. Every time a customer walked in she would shout the directions. The same staff member shouted, "how did you order eggs?" When my friend sent the undercooked eggs back. Why couldn't that be addressed at the table? The remaining staff members were attentive. Checked on us frequently and serviced the table appropriately. The restaurant claims fresh from scratch, and that is not the vibe I got with the food. While we were impressed how fast our food came out. It was almost too fast if you're making it from scratch. read more

Really upset about our visit here! We came in and no one greeted us and when we ordered, the lady at the register seemed to not want to be there and was rude as well. I got sweet tea and it was awful so I asked to changed to coffee and she automatically told me she needed to charge me, I let her know they were the same price and I shouldn't be charged. When we finally got our food, EVERYTHING was cold. When we asked to speak to the manager and let her know our food was cold, she offered to put it in the MICROWAVE!!! Wtf??? We then asked for a refund because we could not even enjoy our food and who knows what they'll do with the food once it's taken to the back! We again waited for 10 min and when we saw the manager cleaning, we were furious. My mom went to the counter and asked her for the refund and she said "we did it already" but no receipt was given to us! When my mom asked for the receipt, the manager stated "oh let me make sure I did the right one" like wtf and then she finished it and said "okay it's done" and my mom asked again for the receipt. The manager then copped an attitude and basically shoved the receipt to my mom. Highly disappointed because my mom and I just wanted to have a nice brunch while she visited me here in CS! Cornbread, pulled pork queso fries and pulled pork hoagie were delicious...Let me preface this next part by saying how much I hate garlic and that I've been afraid to try grits. However, I ordered and tried their cheesy grits. They were amazing...savory, firm consistency and tasted great. My only critique is to go lighter in the garlic or even better offer a non-garlic option. I know you probably can't because of preparation time, etc. My wife who loves garlic even thought it was a little heavy. Other than my personal bias/preference against garlic (ignore me), I HIGHLY recommend eating here. Despite a negative review or two about the Bacon Jam, most people on here seem pretty enthusiastic about it and it sounded like it would hit the spot. It didn't. At all. The red flags went up when I was told that medium was the least they would cook the burger. That's usually reserved for chain restaurants. But, against my better judgment, I ordered. What I received was a burger so lacking in flavor that I can only assume that it was purchased as a premade frozen patty. The egg was undercooked, but I intentionally ordered it over medium because something told me that was likely here. The bacon jam itself was OK, if you love onions, but the bacon flavor was... subtle. At least there was a handful of barely melted shredded cheese thrown on at the end, I guess? read more

The only reason I give 3 stars is because of management. I have never met a manager that was so rude in my life. This manager proceeded to talk bad about our friends that came from out of town to spend time with us, right in front of us. When she was called out by my significant other she rolled her eyes and walked away. After that incident, our friends sat for almost 30 minutes waiting on their food. When they got up to see what was going on the manager said that the ticket was "lost" and they had to look for it. Now the food. The food I would give 5 stars, it was absolutely fantastic and tasted great. The girl that took our order was the sweetest person ever and if I had control of the restaurant she would have gotten a raise. Again, the food was remarkable and will definitely be back for the food and the cashier. I hope the manager loses her job. No one that rude should work in the food business. read more
