Most of the shop was recently stolen CAT victims. Janice at the desk was very patient, clear, and generally pleasant over the phone walking me through next steps when I called Monday. She was more than happy to work with Geico on the claim. You just gotta call when your tow truck is loading up the car so they can make room in the shop in time to receive your vehicle. At the end, I paid my deductible out of pocket with Zelle. They have a QR code. I left with my signed, one page customer copy of the repairs and payment documentation. They quoted me $350 for this added rebar welding service as a theft deterrent. This is a separate charge from your insurance claim. A very welcoming younger man named Vincent (?) lifted up the car and walked me through the undercarriage work and the theory behind the rebar. He was honest and said nothing is a complete solution, but that in the years they have performed this service, only a handful of customer have come back with attempted theft incidents. However, in those cases, the thief only made the cuts and couldn't pull the converter out. So repairs are cheaper in the long run because it's a welding repair, not a full converter replacement. If you go through insurance that is also good news, because he said with tariffs and the war, prices are going up and it's increasingly likely your insurance will deem your car totaled just for the stolen CAT based on their rising repair costs compared to your older car's current value.

I'm not a frequent customer of 4WheelParts in general, as the types of items I'm looking for on my Tacoma's build aren't usually readily available on 4WP's website. However, for things like the air compressor I ordered today, I like to order from 4WP so I can pick them up from a storefront. When I ordered my smittybilt air compressor online to replace my current compressor in a pinch, I got a call within 15 minutes or so from Steve at 4WP Oakland. He already had my item ready to go. However, since I live about 20 miles away (Martinez to Oakland after work is almost impossible within their hours of operation), Steve offered to ship it to my house for free and by Friday (ordered Wednesday) so that I'll have it for my trip this weekend. this review is long over due. my silverado was due for a new suspension back in 2006. so i decided on suspension lift versus a stock replacement suspension. i've canvased around for prices (online versus the local shops). i was able to score a Fabtech lift suspension kit online (w/out tax and shipping - which was a heck of a deal!!!). after i got my kit, i went to 4wheelparts to have my Fabtech suspension installed. they were the only place that would install at the price range that i was looking for. i remember dropping off my truck on wednesday & the install was done 2 days after. talk about fast! read more

I had been searching for an ARB awning for my vehicle, and after browsing online, I decided to visit the local 4 Wheel Parts store to make my purchase. Good prices. Friendly and knowledgable staff. Replaced 4 tires on my Jeep Wrangler Rubicon - BFG Km2's. I asked them to save the old tires for me and they said no problem, except when I went back to pick them up -they had been tossed. I had planned on selling them for a couple hundred bucks and was pretty bummed. So....they decided to sell me a full size spare for $100.00. Not bad considering the tires cost about $300 bucks each. I needed a gear swap of my 2015 Jeep JK done, as I have 35" tires and a manual transmission, so the 5th and 6 gears were pretty gutless with the current 3:73 rear differential, which is no small job. Mike switched it out to 4:56 and now my Jeep does not have to be shfted down to 4th on hills on the freeway and has power throughout every gear, total game changer! Plus Mike sent pics, throughout the process, found out that my rear differential spyder gears were chipped, found the replacement part and had it all done at a fair and good price. There were some senior citizens waiting and the staff showed them so much respect and kneeled down to speak with them to show they were not just "customers" but, they are there to take care of them. After my car was done, I was told that I get free tore rotations and that they can also do an oil change at the same time as it is recommended to do both at once to keep everything top notch. I had them install upgraded headlights, taillights, and auxiliary lighting on my 4Runner TRD Pro, and the quality of the work was great. Annie one of the owners is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. When I ran into an issue with my high beams, she was quick to help troubleshoot the problem and made sure it was resolved. She took the time to walk me through my entire lighting setup and educated me on the various options available, from entry-level products to premium professional-grade systems, so I could make informed decisions about my build. It's rare to find a shop that combines technical expertise, excellent customer service, and a genuine passion for the off-road community. I can't recommend Schaffer's Off-Road highly enough and will absolutely be returning for future upgrades.
