I recently had central air and heat installed into my 1950s house in Concord. The house only had wall heat and a window AC so we needed all of the ductwork installed and a furnace and AC. I was referred to 411 Heating and AC by one of the contractors that gave me a quote for insulation. Said was able to come the same day to give me an estimate for the installation and units. He thoroughly went over the differences between units and explained the process of installation. I acquired several quotes prior to 411 Heating and AC and Said was the most knowledgeable about the equipment, honest, professional and straight forward. After initial call Sayed stated it would be $89 for the visit (I understand it can potentially cost more than that) He showed up to fix my heater. I (the property manager) showed him there was a burnt fuse and told him the wiring is not appropriately connected. After taking a look he said it would be $250 dollars to fix. He followed that statement by immediately saying 1) it needed to be cleaned 2) It need a new filter 3) the motor was going to go bad soon. He asked if I was okay with $250 to fix it and I agreed. After 5 minutes of working he said he was finished. I asked your done with $250 worth of work, he stated yes, we are paid for our knowledge not our time. I asked if he finished cleaning, filter, etc. He gave me a shocked reaction and replied NO that would cost much more. I then tried to give him feedback on how the way he stated things it sounded like that $250 was going to get much more work done. He then argued with me and wanted to show me what he completed vs. all the other things that still needed to be done. I will give him kudos and say yes, he did get the heater working on a Thanksgiving Day. Which was attaching 2 wires and replacing a fuse. After pointing out to him the original cost being $89 and attaching 2 wires and a new fuse was ridiculous to be a $161 upcharge. He ranted about how he doesn't teach people how to fix heaters. I agreed with him, but stated if I could just be told those were the only two things that needed to be fixed I would have fixed it myself for his $89 "knowledge". After going back and forth and him not accepting responsibility for misleading me he finally agreed to charge me $89, which I was thankful and satisfied with. He then decided that he wanted to speak with the owner who wasn't present. He rattled off the situation to the owner (who had no idea of how terribly he was getting ripped off and didn't really care to put in the time to understand). He then got the owner to believe and agree to pay $250. I wrote him a check and sent him on his way. Sayed (the owner) is very misleading, doesn't listen to feedback/constructive criticism, unprofessional, overpriced, and not worth giving business. I won't be hiring him again in the future and you shouldn't either, he will take advantage of you. read more

In this horrible heat our AC went out. Nightmare! Our property manager, Stokley Properties, was on top of it and sent out 411 Heating and AC. They called and set up a time so quickly I was very pleased I didn't have to wait for days. However, we were experiencing a power outage just as he arrived. However, It was not a problem.......he scheduled me for the very next day. What a relief. He was efficient, professional, knowledgeable and took the time to explain the repair and give me instructions on my system and how to have it work a lot better. Too bad I can't give 0 stars. Chose this company based on others yelp reviews, but regretting that now. Called this company on a Saturday to help us with our home AC unit. A guy came out (later than what we were told) and in a personal vehicle, diagnosed the problem to be a bad circuit board, quoted us $800 for a repair, and we paid $75 for the evaluation. We called our friend who works at a different AC company, he ordered us the board for $115 and our electrician installed it. Our electrician discovered on the old board that a fuse was out. The guy that came out didn't recognize or tell us that- which should have been the first correction. Anyhow, still, our AC wasn't working. I called the owner thinking we could have another person come out (and giving them a 2nd chance before writing a bad review of the incorrect diagnosis) and evaluate the situation again but the owner took zero responsibility for the incorrect diagnosis and put it all on the electrician that helped us. Poor customer service and a real disappointment when a small business owner won't take responsibility for their shop. Update to the review: Reply to the owner- I absolutely did not say that we burnt the fuse out nor would I ask you to take responsibility for that. Update for the public- another company came out today and fixed the problem in 10 minutes. The condensation sensor outside the AC unit was the issue. I do not write many reviews although I do read them but thought 411 Heating and Air deserved the positive feedback I can offer. For the last 2 years we have needed coolant added to our newer AC unit. 411 did not install our system but they have repaired it twice now and will be the ones to install our next unit!! This company ripped me of I wouldn't do business with this company at all my air conditioner started acting up it was blowing hot air the soonest I can have somebody come look at it was three days away so I troubleshoot it myself clean the filter and that fixed it started blowing cold air so just to be safe I kept my appointment just to make sure everything's OK when he gets here he tells me a rat chewed a wire and it's going to be 500 bucks well this whole time my AC is working fine I'm not a professional so I took his word for it then he tells me he's gonna have somebody come back out and run the new wire the guy shows up takes forever and tells me that it's not the wire I must have a short somewhere while the whole time my AC is blown cold so the owner calls me he tells me he's going to only charge me half for having to come out he should've gave me all my money back he misdiagnosed it I wouldnt have had a problem with paying him 50 bucks for showing up just for his trouble I had another company come out and they confirmed that this company was trying to rip me off and they did so be careful if you do business with this place read more

I needed a new furnace and contracted 411 for a bid. They weren't the most expensive or the cheapest (you get what you pay for!). All questions were answered to my satisfaction (comparing what other companies were suggesting), calls returned timely and ... get this ... the guys showed up on time, were great to work with, and cleaned up after themselves. When I forgot about something (I was going to get the Nest thermostat and forgot), they were kind and patient with me. Sayed even made time to come back and install it a few days later and took time to teach me how to use it (on my phone!). With the rainstorms a little water came down the pipe. I called, two of their guys came by and made an adjustment on the roof, all taken care of. This is a small company with employees that truly takes pride in their work. Ok so our home is extremely old and our HVAC system has been in place since the early 70s so it was just a matter of time that it would go haywire. Our furnace started making a very loud sound when we turned the heat on. We called two companies out before calling Said @411. Both of the other companies quoted an astronomical amount to replace the furnace and even said we had Asbestos in the basement! With all the hype of Asbestos being a cancer causing agent we were terrified and willing to do whatever we could to be safe. We went to Said for one last estimate and he quoted us thousands of dollars (literally) less than the others. I was concerned that he could do the same job for so much less but Said was the only one who gave us a proposal upfront in writing stating the services he would perform and the costs to do it. I was impressed by this as the other two quotes were verbal only. I also came to YELP and saw the great reviews 411 has and followed my gut to hire them for the job. It had been freezing in our home with no heat but Said had our system up and working in no time! The warm air feels so good and I am so happy we hired this company! After calling around to three companies for an estimate Said answered and was to my house within a couple hours. Not only did he tell me what to fix he only charged me his service rate. I'm a electrician by trade so his knowledge of Ac units guided me in the right direction to fix the part that was bad myself. In the construction industry it can be hard to find an individual/company that is all about the customer and not the amount of money to be made. I.e. If I didn't know any better he could have told me I needed an entire new unit which would run about 4500 instead he cost me roughly 120 including the part I needed and his service charge. About 8:30pm on Friday night, December 23, 2016 my central air heating went out. It had been on all week and it just started blowing really cold air. I panicked because I had house guest and I was expecting a house full of company on Christmas Day. I knew finding someone to come out to my house on Christmas Eve would be difficult but I had to try. I went on-line and found a company. They called me but after determining what I needed, they offered to have someone out to my house on Tuesday morning after the holiday weekend. Wrong answer. I further researched online and I found Home Advisors. The wrote me online that they had found a match and someone would be calling me shortly. A little while later, Sayed Opeyany from 411 Heating & AC called me. I explained what was going on and he promised to be at my house between 9:00-9:30am Christmas Eve morning. On Christmas Eve morning, my door bell rang promptly at 9:00 am. Mr Sayed was very professional. He checked and tested my furnace and didn't find anything wrong. I was grateful for that. He said it must be the thermostat. He tested that and found it was not working. He had a thermostat on his truck, he asked me if I wanted him to install it. I said yes. After installing, he waited to make sure it went through a cycle of shutting off and on. Being at the mercy of some random contractor to come into your home and try to help you can leave you in a vulnerable position. Said spent almost an hour taking things apart, testing things, working out all the possible problems I was experiencing and then decided that it would be best for me if I hired the original installers to do the repair work because the very expensive parts were likely under warranty and If I used them, the repair would be much less expensive. Then Said told me that since he did not repair my problem, he would not charge me for the service call. Sayed happen to be working at one of my neighbors house, and my air conditioning was totally on the fritz and so I took his number and called him and within 15 minutes he was at my house assessing the situation, give me a list of possible scenarios of why my air-conditioning system was not working, he did not have the time at that time to go into any repairs, he told me we could start with Freon and it would be around $300 a pound, I did some research online and saw that that was too expensive, and I asked him about it, and he told me his reasons why it was so expensive, most homes might need a pound or so and it's just not worth it for the service technician to come out for 1 pound so that's why the price was kind of high. He told me that he would do it for $175 a pound,So a few days later I had him come out on a Sunday which is today, and I watched as his equipment told me that my system required almost 5 pounds of Freon. I was thinking it was going to be a small fortune but he looked at me and said "I will give it to you for $125 a pound, and if it does not hold if there's a leak somewhere, I will credit you this on the next repair" I was so happy that I gave him an extra hundred dollars. The man was professional and reasonable so this review is written in hopes that people will not jump the gun and write something bad about anyone until they have really tried to work with that person to figure things out. I have a one-year-old daughter living here in my house with me and so it was very important for this home to be comfortable, and he came out on a Sunday to make sure my home is comfortable for my daughter. He said he would call me back in 5 minutes. I said, "yea - okay". I kept looking for AC guys. The I was called back in 4 minutes. It was 411 AC. He said he could have someone there is 15 minutes. I said send him. My door bell rang in 10 minutes. The service tech was clean, professional and very knowledgable. He diagnosed the problem by asking 5 simple questions. Then he went on to explain the problem and the expense associated with the repair. He could have lied to me and sold me anything and I would be at his mercy. Take my word for it.
