The drinks were great and the food was soo good that we still talk about it days later. He loved the bone marrow. Steak was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. The cake was not my favorite at all. It took way too long to come out and it came out very cold. Not much chocolate flavor, too much salt. It was missing something. We will skip dessert next time.

Service was good though. I must have ordered the wrong things this time, and I was there for happy hour. The crab rangoon squash blossom was kind of fishy. I was expecting something that looked like or was housed in a squash blossom, but it was a fried ball of gloppy crab filling. I also ordered the jalapeño popper deviled eggs. It was a stunner, but this is not the app for you if you're not all about the yolk. It was yolk on yolk on yolk. I wanted something to brighten it up, like a pickled veggie or pickled onions maybe. I've had better taste experiences at The Monroe before, but this wasn't one of them, unfortunately.

Happy Hour is every day from 3-6pm and 8:30pm-close. I got here like 10 minutes before 6 so I put in a bunch of items. $12 burrata was excellent. I love the pesto, and the flavor overall. The best item of the night. Up next, the $10 Nasvhille hot wings. You get 6 wings. These were good too. Not Hattricks in Tampa good, but certainly up there on the rankings. Then, $10 brussels sprouts. Not crispy or charred enough for me, but they were still good. For drinks, I tried the $11 Delaney's Rita Spicy. Ooooohweee delicious! I also tried a $17 smoke em if you got em. This wasn't one of my favorite mezcals I've ever had. It was actually hard to taste the mezcal. I wouldn't order this one again. Tons of seats at the bar. Lots of sports on the TV's. It was absolutely packed on a Friday at 6pm. I didn't have any issues parking in the parking garage located behind the restaurant. Parking was free. Kind of in the middle of nowhere, but a great hidden gem!

When we arrived the front room was empty with a sign to head to the back to be seated. We were able to grab a table and the server came by pretty quickly. She was super friendly and did let us know right away they were a little short staffed and it could be a little longer than normal service would be expected to be. We were ok with that and appreciate the transparency before we even ordered. I opted for a chicken Caesar salad since I was not too hungry. The salad was the perfect size and the chicken was grilled perfectly. One of the kids had the wings - she said they were cooked perfectly and the other had chicken tenders and fries - she liked them as well. We really didn't feel the wait was that long for food or for service, but you could tell the server and the manager were both hustling. Will be back for another meal. They also have lots of TVs for sporting events and they had a line dancing class going on inside as well. Looks like they do some fun events during the week so check it out!

Parking downtown can sometimes be a hassle, but this spot is on the corner with street parking nearby and a garage close by, which made it convenient. The space is nicely decorated and has an upscale, urban feel without being too formal. There's also a great outdoor patio, which is where our group was seated, and it made for a really nice setting. They had a full charcuterie-style grazing table along with several appetizers, and everything was fresh and nicely put together. It was a good variety, and there was plenty to go around. I tried two drinks, the mango mai tai and the strawberry basil spritz. The mai tai was definitely my favorite. It had great flavor and was easy to enjoy. The strawberry basil spritz was lighter and refreshing, but the mai tai stood out more to me. Service was excellent. The staff was attentive and kept everything moving without us having to ask. Overall, this place checks a lot of boxes. Good atmosphere, solid food, great drinks, and easy access. I'll definitely be back! My dad booked a reservation using Resy, and had to send his credit card information as there was a no show fee. We arrived a bit early, but still welcomed and seated in a table near the back. We were informed about the Tuesday whole day happy hour, but only to find out that we needed to sit outside or in the bar to enjoy it. It was no worries, so we just ordered a mojito that wasn't in the menu, but the bartender was very nice to make it for us. However, it was so light that I could barely taste any alcohol if at all. It almost tasted like a mocktail instead. I felt no buzz at all. My dad said the same. For dinner, we chose the bite 30 menu. For appetizer, I took the lamb ribs, which was quite tender. The glaze added was very light, and I tasted mostly lamb, which was fine because I enjoyed the gamey flavor. The carrot slaw was good as it was pickled. My dad's salad tasted fresh, and I did enjoy the dressing they had. For main course, I had to take arroz del costa. It was black rice with shrimp, scallops, and octopus. All the seafood was wonderful, and I savored every bite with the rice. The scallops were the small bay scallops, but had a nice sweet flavor. The shrimp was nicely sized, and the octopus was quite tender. The rice was enjoyable with the garlic drizzle it had. My dad had the salmon, which he said was ok. He didn't enjoy the quinoa that was on the side, but when I tasted it, I really enjoyed it. The desserts were the stars of the meal. My dad enjoyed his chocolate bomb, while I loved the yuzu panna cotta. It was a bit filling, but loved the light yuzu flavor it had. The service was a bit busy, but still very friendly and helpful. Our server answered all of our questions, and helped us to the restroom as it was located inside the condo complex. He also discounted our drinks after we mentioned it was too light in the booze. The dining area is small and reminded me of an upscale cafe. The diners were at a quieter voice, and I was able to enjoy the disco jazzy music in the background. Outdoor seating was available and looked nice. Parking is available at the Radius parking garage and another garage nearby, but it does cost money. If you are lucky enough to find parking in the street, it's free after 6pm. I was happy to try Drake for our first bite 30 promotion. The three course menu was 38 dollars per person, which was a very good deal. I would come back again after an event in downtown, and maybe enjoy a signature cocktail and appetizers during happy hour. While my dad enjoys season 52 more, we were happy to give this place a shot and had a nice experience. Even better, since they use Resy, my dad had a 100 dollar credit this quarter from the Amex Platinum card, making the total out of pocket cost for us about 20 or 30 dollars after tips. Now that's a great deal! Overall: solid B

The location had complimentary valet as the street parking can be a little challenging in this area so that was a huge plus. We enjoyed their half price wine glasses during golden hour, such a great offering. From the start of our meal to the end, the food was exceptional. What made it even more of an experience was the awesome waiter (Merlin) we had. He went above and beyond to take care of us. Started with the crab dip and little toasts and it was great, high quality crab (not fishy) and cheesy! Would highly recommend. He recommended the special for the day which I ordered and holy crap, it was amazing. Huge grouper cooked to perfection with a light curry and creamy corn sauce that had just the right heat. All of this over some jasmine rice... we were in heaven. Parents got a fried grouper sandwich that was huge, and had their amazing wedge salads. My brother got the pork chop that had a perfectly sweet exterior, mashed potato's and carrots. We ordered the hummingbird cake and it had so much flavor with the cream cheese frosting and toasted pecans. Our waiter surprised my brother with their butter cake that was cooked to melt in your mouth. If you want to explore Ivanhoe Village area and want an incredible meal or snack, head to this place. We can't wait to go back and try some other items.

We found The Pinery and wanted to give it a trial. The only spot open was at 4:30 pm, so we made the reservation and showed up, valet parking and came in. We were sat immediately. The hostess seemed stressful, without any smiles, she took away 2 out 4 silverware and plate sets on our table for a party of 3. 12 minutes went by. The crowded dining room had 2 servers. A booth of 6 next to us were waiting for their drinks patiently. I finally got up and let the hostess know that nobody stopped by. She said someone would be with us soon. About 4.minutes later, a lady stopped, said sorry, and took our drink orders, a Pineapple Sugar, a Macha Mojito, and a glass of Napa Valley Chardonnay. She also brought us 3 glasses of water. More servers started coming. Finally, Mark introduced himself, took our food orders. The food was delicious. We shared the Steamed Clams and Brie and Petal Honey. They were so good that we had to ask Mark fir extra crispy bread slides. For entrees, my wife had the Brussel Salad with Anchovy, and she loved it. My son had the Pork Chop while I tried the Crab Stuffed Salson. Excellent food and temperature. We were quite full for desserts, but Mark insisted, so we decided to order a Humingbird Cake and was informed that ithere was no more. Then we took the today's special, which was a strawberry pudding. It took 15 minutes to get the dessert with 3 spoons because, according yo Mark, they made a new patch. In my own opinion, this operation was not well prepared for a such busy Saturday on one of the busiest events. We saw the manager being the server assistant delivering food for his servers, while he was super friendly, and we and the servers appreciated him, he should have led his crew. For lack of leadership, I took away one star though Nark saved our dining experience. We plan to be back another time not during the chaotic holidays to see the real beauty of The Pinery.
