My family and I used to love this place. We still really like this spot, but I don't know if there as a change in ownership or management, but for the past 4 weeks the service has been bad. The cashiers used to be so nice and bubbly, now they have new cashiers that look at you like they don't want to be there. Then you order your drink and they literally take 10-15 mins to make the drink. I don't get it, they never used to do that. I usually go to Starbucks if I had any out of office work to do and I decided I wanted to come here to 5.2 Patio and work out of there. I felt so bad for some of the people. They ordered and they literally waiting like 15+ mins to get there drinks and it wasn't even that busy. The girl that worked there before would have a smile, remember people, then jump to the back and get their order in lol 5 mins tops. I don't know what changed, but I'm not crazy about it. (I'm 25 now) i have enjoyed this boba shop throughout the years however, i just don't feel like this place is the same anymore. what i liked about 5.2 patio was the varieties of snacks they have. one of my go to snacks was their pot stickers. i really enjoyed it but now i have been disappointed. when i used to get pot stickers in high school i remembered they would put a really nice amount of spicy powder that the potsticker is fully covered. you could taste the spiciness on your lips and the juiciness from the pork when taking a bite. lately their pot stickers aren't up too par anymore. it's unfortunate because it was really one of my favorites on their menu. hopefully they make the pot stickers back to how they use too. read more

I usually frequent this place whenever my girlfriend is back from college since it's close to her house. Gotta say I like much more than the bigger chain Boba places. This place also has more of a variety of choices I usually get a simple earl gray with half boba n strawberry popping boba. Many places don't offer the popping boba so that a big plus for me. Also usually get some taiyaki. When I first came by I really enjoyed the overall ambiance, very modern. Only downside I would say is that it's far from where I live. I'm pretty disappointed with the order I received. I rarely write negative reviews and maybe they had something going on at the time of me ordering my food but everything with my order was terrible. I ordered chocolate snow smoothie with some banana in it and two extra spicy chicken snacks. I'm a sucker for Vietnamese coffee and the one I had today was one of the best I've had! My fiancé chose blended without boba, I had iced with boba. The drinks are good, but it takes soooooo long. The açaí bowl is melted, more like a drink than a smoothie bowl.

The drinks are fine and the staff are friendly, but the indoor temperature is a serious problem. It was uncomfortably hot during my visit, and it seems like the A/C isn't being used--even on really warm days. I don't blame the employees; they were doing their best. This feels more like a decision coming from ownership, but it makes for an unpleasant (and potentially unsafe) environment. I hope they reconsider, because it's hard to enjoy anything in that kind of heat. read more

I got the boba milk tea with caramel today, It was just watered down and you could count the boba with your hands there were maybe 8 in there. You couldn't even taste the caramel.... I got a peach/strawberry black tea, mild popcorn chicken and nutella taiyaki. Peach/strawberry black tea was perfect. I did not get boba since I had other snacks. Tasty and not too sweet. The mild popcorn chicken was good. It wasn't overly bready or salty. My favorite was the nutella taiyaki. I thought it might be a little soggy since I ordered delivery but was pleasantly surprised by its crispy outside and softer inside. It was really delicious. I will definitely be ordering again!
