Everything I've ever had at boba time has been yummy. I love how you can control sweetness and ice level as well. Service was quick for me when I came on a weekday evening but it all depends when you come! Location is superb because you can walk here from any of the restaurants in downtown for dessert. The variety of toppings is my favorite. For an extra dollar you can get unique toppings that they don't offer at many other boba places. My favorite are crystal boba, coconut chia pudding or coconut pudding, and jelly. I don't recommend adding more than two though because you have less drink. Boba comes free but I rarely get that -- very popular though! The variety for drinks can also be a little overwhelming at first but they have a top 20 drinks list that makes it easier to choose as well. I've tried pretty much every milk tea here and you can't go wrong with any to be honest. My personal favorites were the fruit teas, taro milk tea, jasmine and almond milk teathere is some seating to wait for your drink-- you order through the kiosks here. The drinks are on par with those at other Boba Times, but some of the staff here are the rudest, most entitled, most immature people I have encountered. Street Parking can be difficult but there a few parking structures and the mall also. Inside isn't too big but they have a few stools if you wanna sit. The chairs were turned upside down on the attached long table seating area but there's a small sign that says you can just grab a chair & sit if you'd like. It does feel very much like a "to-go" place though. The service is friendly. There are many options for drinks & they have a board up with their top 20 most successful drinks to help you decide if you don't already know what you want. (During warmer and summer days, I opt for a watermelon & pineapple slush with boba which is phenomenal because they use FRESH fruit!). Since it's the summer, they do offer free water while you're waiting which is considerate. During my most recent visit, there were only two people waiting for their drinks, and once they left we had to wait a bit (they were making drinks for those who ordered online). Other than that, they aren't usually slow unless there's a long line. They do have other beverages (slush, iced tea, smoothie, coffee), açaí bowls, slices of cake & macaroons too. I parked at a structure nearby to avoid doing the street parking because it's on a busy street. When I walked in, I think I was their first customer of the day. A worker greeted me, so I asked about the green apple slush. I asked him how sweet was the drink and he said he never tried it but heard it's sweet. So he recommended that I get it at 75 percent sweetness on the drink. I've become a regular at this boba time bc it always hits the spot, its flavors are always on point, and it's so close to me. I usually order via the app for pick up but on the rare occasion I have to do a walk up order, it's still pretty fast even with a big line. The location itself is pretty small but the staff is always attentive and kind. I'm a fan of most of their drinks and açaí bowls. It's a small shop, more for a grab and go versus sit down and hang out like most other boba shops. I'm not a 100% fan of boba but do enjoy some milk tea and not a big fan of chains. But I do have to admit, this particular location of Boba Time is kicking some butt. Normally a boba shop is made for people to hang out at, do some studying, etc. Similar to how coffee shops run but Asian. Boba shops have extended their menus to allow longer periods of time spent (aka spend more money) by adding some light foods such as small appetizer sized fried foods or even a sandwich. The Burbank Boba Time has no time for any of that. It is located in a very high traffic location. There is no place to hang out inside and there is no food to allow you to extend your stay. I've had to call out several times before I was able to get assistance. I know they have a self serve kiosk but, I wanna talk to a live person. Anyway, the drinks are always consistently good and the store is always clean. I've had to use the bathroom once or twice and there's always toilet paper available and the stall is always clean The servers are friendly once you get their attention and it can overall be a fun experience before or after going to see a movie with friends. My go to drink is always taro milk tea, no boba, 50% sweetener and milk foam on top...divine! But my recent obsession has been matcha strawberry latte with the strawberry popping balls. Delicious!
