honestly really liked this truck apart from the food, the staff there are hardworking and kind people. it was parked outside one of the apartments and the owner went into the apartment to give the front desk staff some free food. i felt like that was a kind gesture and very telling of their character. the food is also really great. we got the macho nachos which was LOADED and fed me for three meals and the aztec burrito with mild sauce. the burrito was HUGE. the flavors are great too and they load up on the toppings

I almost went back to this food truck on the same day, I was just too lazy to walk back up the hill near 5th and Grand. I ordered two tacos, a spicy chicken with corn and a carne asada. Both were bursting with freshness and flavors. Their tacos are made from corn rather than flour. Definitely worth trying.

We hired 5 Elementos for a college graduation party, June 2025. First off the food was absolutely amazing! We had access to the entire menu and the churros were the best we've ever had. Service was perfect. We live in Massachusetts so had to do our planning from afar and Jeries made the whole process effortless. 5 Elementos loves what they do and it shows. I can't imagine having a better experience than we had. I'm still receiving texts and emails from our guests commenting about "the food truck!!!" Thank you Jeries and the whole 5 Elementos team!!!

So happy we ran into 5 Elementos by chance! OG Tacos - Fried Shrimp & Carne Asada

Best food truck in LA! Seriously. I had never had 5 Elementos, but came across them when researching possible catering options for my wedding. We had about 100 guests with varying dietary restrictions including gluten free, vegetarian, and pescatarian. Finding a solution that was also cost efficient was difficult UNTIL I found 5 Elementos!! Jeries runs the business and as soon as we inquired I knew we found our guy. He was very communicative about logistics and worked with our Wedding Day of Coordinator team to come early as to not distract once the Ceremony started. I think this is important because we had them booked on Cinco de Mayo so their schedule was absolutely packed that day. Jeries knew I was also stressed over the presentation of the food in terms of plates so they got the most adorable "boats" to serve the bowls in and I could not have been happier. In terms of the food - OUTSTANDING! All of their menu is built to be gluten free & vegan to start and then you can add on proteins or non-vegan cheese. Personally I don't have any dietary restrictions, but everyone who did told me the food was really really good and made our wedding a hit. During the wedding I ate the Fajita Bowl w/ Chicken Al Pastor and my husband had the Shrimp tacos. Both were amazing and I wish I had had more time to try everything else haha Luckily, we ran into Jeries and the 5 Elementos team 2 weeks after our wedding by luck! He instantly remembered us and gave us a warm welcome :) During this time I got to catch up on all the other food they had to offer and actually sit down to enjoy it all without entertaining during the wedding. The food was just as good as I remembered it and even better! My husband also tried the Fuego Salsa they offer and let me tell you - it does NOT mess around. You've been warned - fuego does in fact mean HOT! Proceed at your own risk ;) They also post their schedule on their website of where they are going to be, so make sure follow it and you too can have amazing Mexican food! I know I'll keep following along for sure and thank you so much to 5 Elementos for making our wedding so so special!!

Delicious food, friendly service, and contact free payments/ordering. I love that I could order and pay from the kiosk outside the truck. They make it easy to personalize your order. You can easily ask for ingredients to be added or removed. I ordered the Cali Dream Burrito, which was huge and jam packed with flavor. It contained crispy seasoned fries, Pico de Gallo, jalapeño crema, chipotle crema, guacamole, and your choice of protein. I had mine with Impossible meat. My burrito was so delicious! The fries inside the burrito were really tasty. This truck offers something for everyone--meat options, and plenty vegetarian and vegan options too. The couple running this truck were so nice and the turn around time was fast. Thank you! I can't wait to eat here again!

Amazing food truck! Food is fresh, staff is friendly, and overall great experience. Fajita bowl with cheese was delicious. Chips were thick, crunchy, and served with guac. Food was made quickly and reasonably priced. They offer catering, which I highly recommend for your next gathering. Didn't try the elote but will next time. Thanks for an excellent lunch, highly recommend!

Carne asada tacos were so delicious .

Great fresh food . Friendly service . The food truck is really cute . I ordered the carne asada tacos with cilantro , Monterey cheese , onions and green sauce . Best food truck tacos I've had in a long time and reasonably priced . Great presentation too .

    Tryna find the meats

Thought it looked good but very bland. Ordered chicken burrito only to find 5-6 pieces of chicken inside. Very stingy with their protein. Literally paid $15 for a rice and bean burrito. Don't do it. Not worth it. Their rice : bean : meat ratio is all off. Lol.

Is the meat real or is it vegan meat?

The meat is real but the jackfruit is a vegan meat alternative. I believe everything, sauces and all, are vegan here except for the meat.

It is still clean and relevant. A Studio City staple, which requires a little attention to revamp it back to it's days of glory. The margaritas we ordered were average; the tajine rim had garlic and cumin which left a strong aftertaste. We ordered the tacos and carne asada. Both were flavorful and enjoyable. However, the carne asada was tough and dry. However, the tacos were spot on and delicious. We ordered one cripsy and one soft taco. Both perfectly prepared. Plenty of street and back alley parking, making this restaurant an easy, unpretentious cantina.

We came as a large group for a business dinner and the consensus was the salsa and guacamole were good but food was meh. Their margaritas seem to be hit and miss (first round was good allegedly then second round was bad). I ordered the ahi tacos upon recommendation of our server - it was gross. It was totally raw with a funky sweet sauce I didn't like. I couldn't even stomach finishing it and coming home, my stomach is upset .... It was also hella warm inside - they definitely needed some AC cranking on a hot 95 degree day. Service was also not terribly attentive. I would've like a refill on my coke but no one ever came by to ask me or offer it. The only positives were plentiful free parking in the back and reasonable prices. But honestly there are so many good Mexican places, I would be hesitant to come back here.

Flavor wise delicious but definitely lacked any spiciness. Also appreciated getting a celebrity sighting! At first we were seated by the window but given the heat and lack of being able to feel the AC we were able to get moved to a different table which I greatly appreciated. I can't even describe all the food we got but my favorite for sure was the pulled beef taco, the chips and assortment of dips, and ahi tun. I absolutely will come back. I'd say desaert was my least favorite as the cake park of it was too dense for my liking. Parking was no sweat there is valley but costs a lot.

Lovely spot for Mexican food with fun vibes!…read more I came for Sunday brunch/lunch with some friends. I made a reservation through Yelp a couple days beforehand and there was plenty of availability. The restaurant is located right off Ventura Blvd and has an attached parking garage in the basement which can be accessed via the parking lot behind the restaurant. There were plenty of spots available Sunday afternoon when I came. It's a bit hidden, but there is an elevator from the garage to the top level where the restaurant is located as well. We had two babies in strollers with us, so I requested a table with plenty of space nearby for the strollers. They seated us outside on their covered patio, and indeed, we had plenty of space. I peeked inside and there's also a nice lounge area with a beautiful flower wall as well as a proper dining area. When we arrived, there was a live DJ spinning tunes. I assume he's there during brunch hours, as he left around 3 pm when brunch ended. I started with a frozen lime margarita ($12). It was okay; it felt like it was only half frozen as the ice wasn't blended that well. For my main, I got the famous Anejo carne asada and shrimp plate for $40. Yes it was pricy, but the portion size was also huge! I was starving and somehow managed to finish the plate, but it'd be a great dish to share for two people with small appetites. I really enjoyed it as well. I asked for the steak to be cooked rare, and they didn't overcook it. Each bite was super tender and flavorful and paired well with the rice. Everyone else also enjoyed their dish. One friend got the wet chicken burrito for $15 and it was massive! Another got the veggie fajitas with steak added and really enjoyed her dish as well. Solid food all around. I would love to come back on a weekday and try their happy hour! Sipping on $5 margaritas and $6 sangrias sounds like my idea of a great time!

My favorites are the KILLER HOT and the SHARKY'S salsas. Their AVOCADO salsa is also very tasty. GO-TO FAVES include the Grilled Fish Taco on a corn tortilla. Seasoned and grilled to perfection on a regular basis. I get mine with no Pico de Gallo as I like to layer on some very hot salsa instead (KILLER HOT) and I get it without the cheese to keep it lower in fat and calories. NEVER disappoints. Their Nachos are a treat when I'm breaking my diet. :) Shrimp Tacos are really good as are the protein plates which can be customized and are a very healthy, well-prepared meal every time. You order at the counter -- and a nice touch is they ask if you want chips while you wait. Their water is also a nice touch -- it's got lemon, cucumber, etc. in the water which gives it a refreshing spa-like feel. They also have really good iced tea. You grab your own beverages and I highly recommend both the water (free!!) and the iced tea. The staff here is wonderful -- an active management team that works the floor, checks in on guests, and generally just makes everyone feel welcome, along with the hard-working kitchen team and the young team that takes the orders and puts together the take-away options. They are a smooth-running, very friendly and kind operation there. I love Sharky's. I grew up in this area and remember when it was Twain's.
