    Aztec burrito

The sauce is great and the burrito is huge! But I definitely feel like I'm eating a rice, bean and veggies burrito. I don't taste the meat at all. $15 for chicken. If you want other meat options it costs extra $. Thought carne asada might be an option but it's an extra $3. Hopefully if you get it they give you more protein than what I received. Overall it's a great burrito if they had more meat.

In LA for the weekend, saw these guys had great ratings and decided to try them out for lunch. The food did not disappoint. I got their elementos fries (loaded fries) witch chicken and steak, FIRE. And it was enough for two portions, I'm excited to eat the rest for dinner. This is purely a takeout/delivery establishment so nothing to be said for the ambiance and I ordered online and got my food from a locker so not much to say for the service either but still a good experience.

The restaurant was decorated for the Fourth of July, creating a festive atmosphere, and everything from the décor to the aromas felt genuine and welcoming. The staff was attentive, personable, and made the experience even better. I ordered a chicken and steak burrito with rice, beans, and cheese, and it was outstanding. The shredded chicken in mole sauce was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, while the steak was cooked perfectly and complemented the burrito beautifully. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I'll definitely be coming back!

We loved the old-school vibe immediately. We arrived around 4:45 and waited only 5-10 minutes. Then we saw the fresh tortillas being made and thought, "This could be good!" The atmosphere was relaxed, with full table service and great chips and salsa. We ordered a plate of fajitas to share and a shredded beef taco. Funny enough, I thought I was ordering a taco platter, but one lonely taco arrived on a bed of shredduce. Thankfully, it was excellent. A good shredded beef taco is surprisingly hard to find, and this was my favorite part of the meal. Overall, the food, service and atmosphere were all great. I'll definitely return. I found a parking spot behind the restaurant that felt a little sketchy, but it worked. I'll probably look for street parking next time. 4.5 stars

It was incredibly refreshing and one of the best cocktails I've had in a long time. The food was just as impressive. The chicken burrito was hearty and packed with flavor, and the chicken breast with mole truly transported me to Oaxaca. You can tell they take pride in authentic Oaxacan cuisine. What really sets this place apart is their tequila and mezcal selection. Their back bar and menu feature over 300 bottles, making it one of the most impressive agave spirit collections I've ever seen. Whether you're a tequila or mezcal enthusiast or just looking for amazing food and drinks, Madre is absolutely worth a visit. I'll definitely be back!

I'm from Mexico and when I first moved to the US what I first noticed was that tortillas fall apart here and are bad quality. But at madre you can tell that the tortillas like for the memelas are made in house and are excellent quality with good masa, not just like maizena. The servers are always great, my boyfriend and I love this place. This is where he had chilaquiles for the first time with tasajo and he will eat them elsewhere but nothing compares. The chilaquiles are awesome, better even than many places in Mexico. Good quality ingredients and stuff that you don't find everywhere- huitlacoche, chapulines, etc. When I brought my mom and dad my dad was eating and paused and told me he had forgotten he was in the US for a second and that it felt like home. Love this place a lot and couldn't recommend it more highly. I was reading the reviews from others and it seems clear that this place resonates with people who appreciate the diverse and multi layered tastes of Mexico and who know about the nuances of the cuisine beyond tacos and margaritas. If you want cheap tacos and a margarita this is probably not the vibe. I don't know why people come to a restaurant that has unique and specialized Oaxacan cuisine like the amazing mole and great salsas and hard to find ingredients like huitlacoche and chapulines only to buy like an asada taco and a margarita... lol

The ambiance is very colorful. It's all outdoor dining. You have the chairs match the umbrellas and you feel like you're immediately transported to an Ensenada road side food stand. But what they are known for is their big size, delicious tortas. I ordered the grilled chicken, torta, asada fries, and 2 carnitas tacos. The torta was humongous and packed with cooked marinated chicken, avocado, tomatoes, beans, and sprinkled with cotija cheese. The only thing I suggest they do is to toast the buns a little longer. A nice toasty crunch would make this torta even more fabulous. The asada fries were packed with meat, guacamole, toppings, and fries. It was huge as well. It took 3 people to finish it off. Very delicious! The carnitas tacos were so good! I love that they make fresh corn tortillas and they add pickled red onions on top of a slowly roasted and shredded pork loin. Making it my regular order. I highly recommend checking this spot out. Delicious food, friendly service, and you'll walk out very full and happy!

Food's great, it does get packed so be prepared to make friends and sit by some strangers and the table top, but you guys can make small talk over how good the food is as you chomp away.
