Entry way to mini stores - boutique/salon/food/drink

This place is a must visit. Their drinks are unique. They bring the rich flavors of Gutamela to a coffee shop. Iced Vanilla Cremita Latte (Medium/1 shot - $5.75) - the taste is ok. It's good. But I'm not a fan of it. I'll still recommend it to anyone to try it. The drink remind me of a creamy condensed milk with a soft warm flavor; cremita flavor. I love it how the cremita flavor is not over powering the coffee so it's a really good balance of both. The coffee is not that sweet, so it's a plus. RATE : 5/5 ACAI CUP ($12) - I think this acai cup is on a pricy side. I ask for everything on it. The bowl came with frozen blueberries. The strawberry and banana was the only fresh items on my bowl. I love their choice of almond butter. It also came with sprinkles of coconut flakes, chia seeds and chopped almonds. I was expecting the acai to be more rich in flavor. I'm not sure what it's lacking but it kind of give me the low quality acai. It taste like a lightly sweetend tart soft/melting popsicle stick. It has more water than acai. Overall, it taste ok/good but not what I'm expecting. RATE : 3/5 LOCATION : Is in downtown Bakersfield so parking lot is a bit hard to get into. The exact location of 502 Cafe is a bit hidden. You have to walk into a double door entry to a mini walk way. 502 Cafe will be a little coffee stall on the side serving coffee. There will be a few cute mini shops inside. Seats are shared with other local business owner. AMBIANCE : Cozy and aestetic location for a study location. They do have board games, free wifi and water with lemon on the side. The decor theme reminds me of the 'roaring 20's' vibe with green gardens and nice comfy leather seats. They do blast the music up so you can't really tell if it's loud in there or it's the music. Besides 502 Cafe, there are a few mini shops in here too. So, it's nice little hangout area to explore a little bit of everything. This location is pretty popular for hangouts so it does get a little pack in here. SERVICE : Nice and friendly. They got my order in quick and out. OVERALL : I would give them a 5 star but the parking lot was a hassle and their food quality wasn't what I was expecting/pricy. I would totally come back for more coffee though! NOTE : I've heard of their cute little retro coffee jeep for events. Totally need to check it out soon.

Finally, I got a break to try this place!! I knew about 502 because I'd had their coffee beverages at the Farmer's Market in the Kaiser parking lot on Ming Ave. At first I was apprehensive because I was not expecting it to be inside a building in a quad area, but I was impressed with how cute and cozy their spot is! Their decor is warm and cozy, I would love to be there on a cold and rainy day. There is plenty of seating area, including comfy couches. The main seating area gave a warm library vibe. Throughout the space, there is Guatemalan decor and art, as well as an old record player and some vinyl records, some of which were from back in the day.! There is also seating area with tables and chairs, and the place is large enough to accommodate large parties. They also share the seating area with another place inside the quad, see my review on that place. I've had 502 coffee before at the farmers market, but I was super excited to try other options. They have available at their shop. I ordered a cinnamon and pecan latte and an almond croissant. The latte was made with whole milk and was fabulous. It was nice and hot and the foam was velvet and soft. The almond croissant was tasty however it is not your typical croissant; it was cheese bread... similar to the Salvadoran quesadilla (bread). The croissant was a bit dry but the latte made up for it plus I dipped the bread in the hot latte! I will definitely go back to try other beverages and sweet treats. I think this place has one of the best coffees in Bakersfield, it's there with Cafe Smitten and Covenant Coffee. The service was good and quick. The beverages do take a bit because they use traditional espresso machines. Lattes come medium or large sizes. The vibe is nice there. You could take a break and lounge on one of their couches in t you could chit chat with friends too. There is plenty of space to do some head-down work if you need to get out. If you order for dine-in, they bring you your items to your table. Nice touch!! Their hours are limited and they close early so make sure you plan your visit. Enjoy!

I have had this on my list to try and today was the day. I didnt realize this building existed. Grab street parking and walk into the building off 17th and Chester. You enter the cutest floor with several different shops. The coffee kiosk serves gourmet toasts and a few pastries. Ordered cold brew with vanilla and it was good and not bitter. Latte was also good. Tried the strawberry almond toast the flavor was vrry subtle. Prices (July 2025) regular $5.75 and large $7.75. They have 9 special coffees that appear to change with the seasons. Definitely a place to meet up with friends. Parking might get tricky. Will be back k to try even more.

502 Cafe is a very cute spot for Guatemalan drinks with lots of space to study or eat. Their drink selection is unique and the employees are friendly and quick. I had a honey lavender latte with oat milk, which was pretty tasty (not too sweet). I prefer a stronger lavender flavor, but I'll ask for a lil extra next time. Overall the space is cute and there are also some good food options you can order (acai bowls / savory or sweet toasts / pastries ). There's also a place next door you can order fries from if you have picky children with you lol. I'd recommend and we'll be back soon.

What a wonderfully talented coffee shop located in the heart of downtown. The service is amazing, marco the owner is kind and knowledgeable of his products. The coffee if amazingly delicious. The ambiance is open floor and kinds of old school coffee shop. This reminds me of the old supreme bean across from BC back in the day. I highly recommend you check this cute place out. All home made products and home roasted beans straight from Guatemala. Come check it out!!

Cute, cozy, friendly coffee shop. Drinks were delicious. Not pictured was their avocado egg toast & almond and strawberries toast which were tasty.

Service is always great they are always so kind , comfy waiting area and the drinks always 10/10!

Tucked inside an unassuming building in downtown Bakersfield is something you'd never expect to find: truly gourmet Guatemalan coffee. This isn't just your average cup--this is the kind of quality that makes you stop mid-sip and wonder, how is this even in Bakersfield? The owners are a reflection of what makes this city special--deeply local, yet globally minded. Their international experience brings a level of craft, flavor, and hospitality that's rare anywhere, let alone here. The space itself feels like a discovery, and the coffee? Bold, smooth, and unforgettable. If you're looking for something different--something real--skip the plane ticket and head downtown. You won't regret it.

I've always been curious about this coffee shop and why it has such long lines at the Haggin Oaks Farmers Market. When I spotted it inside the Downtown Spot with a much shorter line I had to take the opportunity to try it . This is a great location to meet with friends or study . It's relatively quiet and extremely spacious. The service was great, all my questions were answered and my drink came out quickly. I opted for the Horchata Latte because I love to try specialty drinks .Although the flavor wasn't for me , I could tell the ingredients used were high quality . I'm excited to visit again ,and try a menu staple .

I went twice to this location two days in a row because I enjoyed it so much. First with a friend and then I had to introduce it to my kids. The coffees and teas are delish and unique, as well as the smoothies and juices (I didn't try those but my kids loved them). We tried a variety of baked goods, the honeycomb bread is sooooo dang good! Filled with little pockets of cream cheese, drizzled with honey, and topped with toasted regular and black sesame seeds (I forgot to take a pic of this one, but I'll add it next time I go). We enjoyed all of the pastries we tried- not a crumb on our plates by the time we were finished! The decor is beautiful and unique. All of the employees super nice and helpful. You can ask them for descriptions or ask for a menu to see details and ingredients. They're open late too, so I think my next visit will be a GNO or a date with my hubby.

I visited on a busy Saturday morning, and seating was very limited, which made it a bit difficult to find a place to sit and enjoy my drink. The staff was efficient and got orders out in a timely manner, but the customer service felt a little less warm and welcoming than I had hoped. A friendlier and more inviting atmosphere would really elevate the overall experience. That said, the quality of the coffee makes it worth a visit, especially if you're looking for a sweet treat to start your day.

The most recent time I was there I had an iced coffee and a pretty decent breakfast sandwich with eggs, cheese, and bacon on an everything bagel. It was tasty and came out quickly. Their hype was definitely due to the 'aesthetic'. Nothing is really outstanding to me. The drinks are such a let down, the coffee is borderline yuck.. do not recommend. The food is heavily missing flavor, the hummus is disgusting. I can't believe they call that thing hummus, it's an insult to actual dish.. it's almost like it was trying to imitate the real dish, but failed terribly in even attempting to. Their pizza tasted like play-doh and looked very pale. Smitten is at least consistent with one thing, which is their staple: no flavor. One of the breaking points for me was being served food that had someone's HAIR. The restaurant is very expensive for the poor experience they have to offer. I stopped recommending them a long time ago.

The space is actually one of their biggest strengths there's a lot of seating, plenty of room to bring your laptop and work remotely, and areas where people can gather. Unfortunately, after going back 3-4 times hoping my experience would improve, the coffee has been consistently disappointing. It tastes burnt and weak at the same time like warm water with sugar. There barely seems to be any real espresso in the drinks.
