We were visiting San Diego and after a long day exploring the city we were pretty tired. We saw this was right accords from the Airbnb apartment we were staying at. We saw the good rating and just went there for food. When I ordered the Masaman curry I had no idea this was the best Masaman curry I've ever had!!! It blew my mind and I'm pretty sure I over ate. First time coming to this place, was really excited because it in the neighborhood. I must say it is pretty affordable but nothing like Thai food. I ordered the spicy basil chicken and it was so hot I couldn't not finish my food, normally at Thai places that give u levels of spicy you desire. once I open the box instead of having normal white chicken pieces it looked it was ground beef which I'm assuming it was ground chicken with is disgusting which I would never consider eating .Also got the fried rice which wasn't to bad just cold. read more

Today I had a bad experience at this location. I had called in at make an order of Fried rice with shrimp with no tomato, super light spicy (since I'm not used to spicy foods), with cilantro & garlic. I had someone pick up my food since I was busy at work. When I saw my food I noticed that it had red pepper inside it. I took a bite of my food && it was super spicy. When I called them to let them how my food came out super spicy. I spoke with 3 different employees but no one was able to help me out. With the first person I spoke to i told him that I had made order super light spicy && on the ticket it said MILD. He stated that I was going to call me back They have bad customer service and don't understand or acknowledge their customers when they call in complain about the food. read more

This little gem is hidden at the back of a convenient store in Golden Hills. Ingredients are fresh, portions are good and priced reasonably. If it were cheaper and easier for me to get food delivered from here, I would order from here a whole lot more. Their menu covers the basics you need to soothe your Thai craving. I used to come here ever week. I noticed once they started opening new locations, the quality of the food went down. I always ordered the chicken pad Thai and it's not good anymore. The noodles are so dry. The food tastes like it was microwaved, not saying that it was, but it tastes like it. The noodles also had a burnt taste. I could see pieces of burnt egg through my food, not a good taste or smell. I'm giving it two stars because I'll continue to come here just for the Thai tea with boba because at least that's still great. Where is the original cook? He/she needs to come back! read more

My roommate and I love the food here! We routinely call in our order and pick it up and eat at home together . We've both tried a couple different dishes each and have not been disappointed, and it's always ready pretty quickly , prices are extremely fair as well . My only (not even a complaint but , complaint ) is that the service is meh . Not good but not bad . Just a bunch of young kids who just want to go home. I've had worse . This review is long overdue. We discovered this gem shortly after moving in the area. Now it is one of our go-to takeout spots. The food is great, consistent, quick and nice staff. All around we have nothing but good things to say about this place. I also feel like their food quality is a lot cleaner than other Thai spots and is always fresh! We order chicken Pad Thai every single time. I love that they do " no spice" and it still has so much flavor (I'm a wuss with spice). This last time I tried there Tom kha noodle soup. The drunken noodle, on the other hand, was although very tasty, a bit overwhelming with the basil flavor. The spices were a bit too strong for me, however in terms of heat, it was just right for me. Very solid food and genuinely super cute that it's inside a little corner store that has wine and sodas and random things you might be tempted with on the way out. I would give this place 4-5 stars but there are little things that they do. For instance they permanently stopped using wide noodles and still say they serve Pad See Ew...? It's not really that dish anymore. They also have a very limited menu and a couple of them are mediocre at best like the Pad Thai and their Karaage chicken. I have never been disappointed in this small, back of liquor store, 3 table restaurant. I always take out and tend to get the ginger chicken or ginger tofu, and the tom kai (soup). Sometimes I order 2-3 dinners to last me for a few days. I really love this restaurant. They allow you to get all veggies (instead of rice) for no extra charge, and it's a full serving. The veggies are cooked perfectly. Pricing is the most reasonable in SD, IMHO. Other than parking, it's perfect. read more
