EXTREMLEY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I went to park in the parking lot of the strip mall, at 8:30 pm I get out of my car and as I go to shop at Plato's closet a store across from the diner, two workers a woman named Valarie (who did most of the yelling) and another woman with short black hair in a flannel, both proceed to yell "YOU CANT PARK HERE OR YOU'LL GET TOWED" I walk back to check for a sign and there was not any visible signs so I ask them "where's the sign at" and they yell back "there doesn't need to be for me to call a tow truck don't be giving me an attitude!!" even though I asked politely " All I say back is "I'm not giving giving you an attitude" and I begin to walk away when they continue to antagonize me saying I was and that she's going to call a tow truck she is still screaming at me when I'm at the door of Plato's closet walking in. Keep in mind there is maybe 3 other cars in the parking lot and chapter 98 of Oregon law states there must be a visible sign. THE ONLY SIGN POSTED SAYS NO SMOKING, guess what they were doing when I got out of my car SMOKING CIGARETTES only 10-15 feet away from that sign. Absolutely ridiculous and hypocritical. These workers are extremely unprofessional and are sitting outside of their job which is closed screaming at customers of other stores. Absolutely ridiculous and disgraceful if I were the owner of this establishment I would consider keeping these workers in check, also to the owner when I walk back to my car they are chatting with each other not even working inside so I would consider that as well. This could've been easily avoided, as it wouldn't even be legal to tow my car lmao these workers are obviously bored and are likely just staying on the clock doing nothing. (The one with the flannel at first was hostile doing the yelling but when I walked back was somewhat more reasonable while Valarie was continuing to antagonize and yell) I almost never leave bad reviews or even reviews for that matter but when someone is going to intentionally antagonize me and be extremely rude and unprofessional I'm not going to do nothing about it. It blows my mind two adults think this is okay and think it's something they should be doing while representing a business I will never be giving you my business and I'll spread the word about your horrible professionalism. I hope you do something about your Valarie problem because with this type of behavior I doubt this is the first complaint. read more

This place is truly a hidden gem in the tualatin area. Now I will admit, the burger patty itself isn't very special but the toppings, bun and house sauce is superb but combine that with an incredibly nostalgic atmosphere and it really feels like you hopped in a Time Machine and are in a diner from the 60s. There was a burger place I loved as a kid in Tigard and they sadly left decades ago and I swear this place makes me think of that place everytime I take a bite into the burger. I didn't take a picture of my food because I couldn't wait to eat it. I got a cheeseburger, curly fries, and a cherry malt as well as some cheese sticks for the table. I couldn't eat it all because the portions were so generous. The burger was one of the best I've had living here, and it's refreshing that it's not smash burger style like everywhere else. The shakes were great because you could actually drink them, they weren't so thick you HAVE to use a spoon and they weren't runny. I'll be returning to this diner. It's fun and unique. I loved everything from the music, multiple TV's with vintage cartoons, posters, airplanes and car couch. The food was good and reasonably priced. The entire place was clean and the staff was super nice and attentive. Wheelchair friendly with a ramp out front(east side I believe) spacious dining area and restroom. The ambiance is great. I can't wait to come back for the shakes. They have a variety of flavors. My wife and I tried this restaurant for the first time last night. Good food! We both had the bacon burger with Fries and I had a chocolate malt. These were good diner burgers! What I liked about the malt was that they give you the extra in the steel mixing cup like the old days. If you haven't tried it yet do so. I expected it to be very busy on. Sunday evening, but I think we were the only ones there. Surprising, since everything else around there appears to be closed. Go send them some business and you won't be disappointed. I did eat here this year. The decor was very cute and they had old cartoons and sitcoms playing on the big televisions decorating the walls. The place was styled up fun. The shakes were fantastic. We ordered a strawberry banana shake and it was definitely big enough to share with two people. I would go back for a shake. The burgers and fries were just average. The waitress asked what sauces we wanted. We got ketchup, ranch, honey mustard, and bbq. She charged us a $1 for two of the sauces. That's a bit annoying since we thought that they were complimentary. They are free at most places unless there is an up charge. We were never told about a charge and didn't find one on the menu either. I was intrigued to learn that the original cafe is in Lincoln City, OR. I might go back, but I actually like Red Robin just as much and Red Robin is just alright too - nothing outstanding. This place is a Fun alternative if you are in Tualatin and want a themed throwback dining experience. Get a shake. read more
