Can't stop raving enough about this place - everything about the experience was seamless for me even before I walked in. I had made reservations on the phone before and when I walked in, I was greeted by a warm hostess. I loved the place for its zen decor - big windows for natural lighting and tables spaced out. The service was great. We got the all you can eat and we felt like the quality was stellar. As everyone else has commented, the process for ordering was so seamless and easy. You order through the app and the service was relatively quick, so you're not constantly flagging someone down. The service was also quick and the food delicious. We got to try an array of items from the best chicken katsu to a wide variety of sushi rolls - all of them tasted so fresh. We loved the little attention to detail in presentation. The menu was confusing since it was a QR code which is understandable but no one told us that we had to order from the QR so we sat there for 20 minutes trying to figure out how to even order. Decided to just order one margarita and waited another 20 minutes for a drink that was never even brought to the table. Went to the register and tried to cancel the drink since we were trying to leave. The two people who tried to help couldn't even give a refund and told me to wait 4 days for it? It's been 4 days since then and no refund has been processed. Tried calling multiple times today with no success. The sushi tasted totally in fresh - was stinky and texture was mealy. Rice was had a plastic like quality, extremely thick, over cooked and gelatinous in the worst way. Rock shrimp was a mess of cold soggy batter nuggets doused in a thick tasteless mayo. They forgot my sashimi. Above all the service was terrible my order came in two different deliveries (part one and part two) the staff was clueless on the phone, had no idea what they were doing and refused to refund me for my missy items. Did we hit this place on an off day? The place's definitely spacious. At least that was how it felt due to being nearly empty. Just 3 tables with 2 people each (including us). Odd for 7/8pm on a weekend ie. "peak" dinner time. Ambiance Not bad, feels too "modern generic" for lack of a better term. Nothing really exuded specific style not asian, nor fusion, in the end comes across as lacking personality. "Fusion" in the name sets expectations to have it reflected in the decor, but it is quite unclear at best what would be the all other elements involved in the smelting giving birth to this culinary "alloy". This applies to look, atmosphere, food. Not inherently a negative, just confusing and mismatched and a missed opportunity to craft and leverage a well defined character identifying the place and drawing in patrons. The sport bar feel conveyed by large TVs broadcasting from sports, to news, to documentary on farm animals doesn't help the case. While the lack of style didn't bother us all that much, the music played to entertain patrons waiting for their orders was actually something that did. While not trash metal, wasn't a pleasant background filler either, nor an easy listening, or relaxing selection. Instead was rather annoying/aggressive contemporary teen-pop played on the too-loud-for-comfort side. We wouldn't mind upbeat music and it's not like we'd be expecting Vivaldi's Four Seasons to be the sound bed accompanying dinner at a self-defining "fusion" restaurant... unless that was fusing with a mid 1700 theme :D. The loudness and selection was just very annoying as background music and it also had the effect to immediately turn the feel of the place into a "Queens, bubble tea shop catering to teenagers" and to be clear, there is nothing wrong with that, provided we had stepped inside such an establishment. Everything in a restaurant plays a role. From decor to music, to food quality to service, including how everything is handled by everyone involved in any interaction with patrons coming to dine at a given establishment. It's not terribly difficult to be a nice restaurant in a newly developed... even when missing on the opportunity of using the decor of the place as a point of leverage. We're not talking about trying to be "upscale", just nice and pleasant alone would already a brilliant achievement on its own! As for upscale, overpriced, pretentious restaurant there are already quite a few in the close by neighborhoods that shall remain unnamed but where overcharging for average to good food is necessary given the cost of rent... therefore quite sadly in most of such places the word "spectacular" is only fitting the bill one ends up paying. Price Speaking of high prices, here is where instead we saw one upsides of 66S Fusion. Their pricing (so far) while not "cheap", was quite reasonable, provided the portions will remain the same in future. Service Going back to the service given it wasn't a busy time, one would have thought service would be more attentive and food would arrive quickly. Not the case. Wait staff was "average friendly" but failed to acknowledge us while waiting more than what would be reasonable (especially since the place wasn't busy at all). Not expecting special treatments of freebies, a simple update would have been enough. Also no "discrete courtesy check" was ever done to see if we needed anything and if food was to our liking. We waited around 30 min. for the first entree (Ramen). Being a hot dish which might take longer to prepare from scratch (as it's possible no broth had been made for the evening given the current season) that should not be the case for cold entree like Sashimi, which arrived even much later and served with a quite unnecessary "grandiose" presentation on a massive ceramic tray and large bowl of ice on which generous cuts of sashimi (compared to many places in the areas nearby) were placed. I would have preferred a faster service and a more sober layout as ice is quite unnecessary given the amount of time one would need to finish the sashimi which incidentally was quite delicious. It's unfortunate we got served a hot appetizer after the first entree which defeats the point of ordering an appetizer. Was likely forgotten and rushed out later, or prep timing was poorly managed in the kitchen causing the appetizer to follow some 5+ min. the serving of the first entree which, since the place wasn't busy, could've been held and finished as soon as we were done with the appetizer, with the upside that doing so both entrees would have come at the same time. Food Ramen: definitely not "rich", nor flavorful albeit not entirely tasteless Appetizer: squid 2-way was 3/4 one way, 1/4 another. Squid was medium/large and tender, 3/4 was served in teriyaki-like sauce. Taste was tiring after a couple rings, 5 rings were battered and fried, missing lemon at the very least. Sushi/Sashimi: Over-presented, but delicious. Portions were satisfying. read more

Which we could get shashimi, sushi, hot trays for same price in other buffer place. The food quality and service are still remain fabulous! My suggestion is Shashimi should included in this price. During a recent visit to 66S Fusion we were met with a negative attitude from the hostess, and a poorly advertised voucher. We were viewing takeout options on yelp when we stumbled upon 66S and a voucher offer. We purchased the voucher and attempted to place our order; however, it would not submit. We decided to call the restaurant - no answer. Since we already purchased the voucher we decided we would place the order in-person. Once we arrived at 66S, the hostess (without looking at our voucher) said 'that this was only available as dine-in.' We were not interested in dining in and asked why we couldn't use this for takeout. She was adamant that this was not an option. I continued to ask why and she failed to give a reasonable response, ending with 'my manager will see that you did not dine-in'. We left the empty restaurant and ordered take-out at a nearby sushi spot. When we reviewed the voucher again we did not see any note describing this policy. A bummer that they are willing to lose a customer relationship over the click of a button and an empty policy. read more

This is my neighborhood go to spot. The sushi is fresh, delicious, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. The service is incredible! Very attentive wait staff and Simon is the best! Been here since they've opened and I love how they're always adding new dishes to the menu. The restaurant is spacious and is a great place to host group dinners or just to have a romantic meal. This is definitely one of the best modern Japanese/fusion restaurant on the east coast. It is newly opened for 5 months and the quality is top notch. We visited them from central NJ and it's worth every effort. The service and quality of food went beyond our expectation. Salmon, tuna, yellowtail, sweet shrimp, sea urchin, king crab, you name it, all fresh. They have THE BEST red surf clam I've ever tasted - SWEET, TENDER, and JUICY. We ordered the sushi sashimi combo, omakase, uni ikura don, eel don, and a few appetizers. Both quantity and quality are better than any other Japanese fusion restaurant we've been to. You just can't beat the value. We couldn't finish everything so we packed the leftovers to go. We were welcomed by the owner. Simon is the man. He gave us free beers and free desserts! Amazing desserts by the way! We signed up for their free membership and will definitely go there again. I strongly recommend everyone to try this place! This is a friendly neighborhood place that has a wide variety of Asian dishes to satisfy your cravings. I think the sushi is the best option. They have inventive specials like a seared tuna with caviar in a spicy jalapeño sauce. The basics are also always super fresh. So glad this place opened in our hood... finally! Sushi seems to be the star here given that there's 2/3 sushi chefs working. We've been here twice -- on our last visit we tried the chicken katsu and udon noodles with beef. We asked server and they dont know what happened and just asked us to refill the menu form. We submitted 3rd order. 20% came. We asked server where's rest of the order and was informed kitchen is closing. OK, what happened to EVERYTHING else we ordered that NEVER CAME????? server went to manager. Manager came spoke to us while looking at his watch. We are closing in 20min and kitchen is closed and sushi chef is leaving. And he made it sound like he's doing us a favor and asked "why dont you tell me what you really want and I ask to sushi chef to make quickly" ... This is unacceptable!!! We paid FULL PRICE for your so-called AYCE and we all left having to go eat another meal. No compensation or sorry whatsoever. This is just a SCAM!!! DO NOT GO!!! and btw ... the friend who I recommended to go first time went back couple days ago. He claimed QUALITY GONE BAD! and some of the items in their AYCE were not even available. The location of this place is out of place to begin with. Nothing is there. So DONT WASTE YOUR TIME driving there.
