I'm beyond frustrated with the customer service at this location tonight. I shop here daily, easily spending $40-$50 a day, but after tonight I'm honestly reconsidering that. I came back in because I was double charged for an item earlier. I showed the receipt, explained what happened, and asked to either grab the extra item or get a refund. The night clerk refused to help, telling me to "come back tomorrow." I asked why, since it could easily be handled right then, and instead of helping, he accused me of "always complaining." This isn't the first time this specific employee has been rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Every time I see him, it's the same attitude. He clearly struggles with communication and instead of listening, he just gets frustrated with customers. I work hard for my money. I shouldn't have to deal with disrespect or attitude when I'm trying to correct a mistake your store made. Honestly, this kind of service is unacceptable. I hope management actually takes this seriously, because regulars like me will take our business elsewhere if this is how we're treated. TIP- The health dept. should take a look at this location. The refrigerated food is always past expiration. Numerous of times I've bought products that have been way past expiration date and or the product has been opened and placed back on the shelf. So always make sure you check the dates and double check the packaging. read more

One of the cleanest 7-Eleven's I've ever been to coffee in the morning is always fresh. I've had issues at other 7-Eleven's with coffee being not fresh. Staff is never an issue. Never a long line and plenty of parking. I will make this my go to 7-Eleven every morning now. read more

I'm pregnant and live around the corner- sent my husband to get me food and snacks because I feel sick to my stomach and he FaceTimes me to get the things I want. Super rude black guy with dreads tells him to hurry up and get off his phone. I almost lost my shit. He's lucky my husband hung up the phone. He then proceeded to insult my husband and pick a fight. I'm pregnant and hormonal- the reasonable response you got from my husband tonight would not have been what you would have dealt with with me. Consider yourself lucky. This is has happened 3 times already and twice was when i had my kids pay and I was 5 feet away from them. The owner didn't know that those were my kids that were getting overcharged. I too wish that I could give zero stars. Indianapolis/Newland location is one of the worst stores I've had the displeasure of frequenting near our house. NEVER AGAIN. I'll admit, I've never been in this 7-Eleven during daylight hours...only when it's SUPER late at night. Since it's located in a primarily residential area, I can go to this 7-Eleven late at night (alone or with friends) without any issues. It's well lit inside, the lot's a good size and empty whenever I'm there, and the coffee's usually fresh. You can ask them to make a new pot if need be and they'll oblige. No issues with service and I hope to keep it that way because this is probably the only 7-Eleven I'll go to in HB. read more

I went into this 711 off Newland & Indianapolis around 2:40-3 AM this morning just to grab some things. While I was walking around the employee (male) continued to follow me. Once I reached the back where the ice cream was he rushed over and I mean rushed and yelled "what are you doing, what are you taking." I continued to tell him nothing and even offered him to take a glance through my purse or look back at the cameras he just shook his head and made an awful sound while mumbling under his breathe. Once I was ready to check out he began scanning my items and throwing them while huffing and puffing. I asked him if everything was okay and he rudely mumbled under his breath and continued to toss my items around (slamming the cash register and breathing heavy) I finally had enough, I have also worked retail such things like clothing, food (restaurants) and I've also done HR. In all my years of customer service you do not ever treat your guest (client(s) or customer(s) that way. I was beyond frustrated and angry. I am not wanting to sound like I'm looking for your pity because that is not the purpose of this review. I demanded all my money back and told him I no longer want to purchase any of these items. He then decided the throw (toss aggressively) the cash at me and told me to hurry because there were more customers behind me. I picked up my money and apologized to the people on mine and his behalf. I do not know this mans name but he has dark hair tan/dark skin and I believe works night shift as far as I know. The older gentleman who owns this convenience store should show more respect to minorities since he is also a minority. Refrain from yelling.
