Being a chain Tea Shop, their drinks are always on point and consistent with the other locations. This is located at the Diamond Jamboree Center where it gets very busy during certain days and hours but the great thing is that it is open till midnight. There is indoor and outdoor seating available here. I usually always go for the Assam Milk Tea as it always has a good bold flavor from the tea. But to mix it up a little I had ordered the Mung Bean Milk Tea with Pudding. The Mung bean has a nice gritty texture to it which I like and it also an even creamier flavor to it. It was my first time ordering some Macarons at 7 Leaves. The Earl Grey is always a good option anywhere you try out. I don't like writing bad reviews, but my experience at this location was far from welcoming. I walked in and was not greeted or acknowledged by anyone. There were two young adults behind the counter who saw me walk in. I stood by the counter waiting for someone to take my order. The entire time the guy and girl were having a conversation and the girl was throwing f bombs with every sentence. I waited and another young man entered the establishment . They must have known him because they exchanged friendly words, asked what he wanted to drink and made his drink with no charge in less than a minute. I was still waiting. After over 5 minutes i decided I did not want to give this location my business. It's unfortunate because every other location is much more welcoming with employees saying hello and helping. As a manager myself, I would not approve of the employees behaviors and they need to all be retrained in customer service or addressed how to treat walk in paying customers. read more

I love seven leaves! Love that they're a local boba chain. They have cool drinks that you can't find elsewhere. I love the summer mint. Service is always quick and kind. You can request less sweet and less ice, they type of milk, choice of toppings if you desire, and customize your drink a bit. My jasmine milk tea was still sweet even though I requested less sweet. They did reduce the amount of ice at my request which was good. I could taste the flavor of the jasmine tea which was good. I asked for oat milk. The macrons are $2.75 each for simple, undecorated macrons. The strawberry hibiscus is delicious and not overly sweet. This shopping center is SUPER popular so probably best to figure out your order ahead and either order in the app or text it to a friend and drop them off while you circle the parking lot for a parking spot. Getting in and out of the parking lot will take a few minutes so if you are in a rush, this shopping center is NOT the place for you. read more

I used to wish 7 Leaves had more drink flavor options, but I have grown to love their Thai tea/green Thai tea so much that I don't even care anymore! This location is great. I never have trouble with parking surprisingly - and I usually come weekdays at lunch time. I love their ham and Brie croissant, would love to see if that could be combined with their "croffle" sometime soon. The mobile app is so great, and I love that they do cool things to help you earn more "leaves," like donating at your local thrift store etc. Feels like I'm supporting my community when I come here. This 7 Leaves is located in the Irvine Jamboree plaza. The great thing about this place is that it's one of the few places that open late in Irvine! The not-so-great thing is they have very limited decaf options. Only 3 drinks are officially decaf (herbal tea, sunset passion, and strawberry hibiscus) and they are all cold drinks. Wish they could make a decaf... anything. They also have very limited customization options, so you don't have much control over the sugar levels besides saying "less sugar" (they said most they can do is 75% sweet). Ended up getting an iced herbal tea (tastes like a grass jelly drink). I asked for extra ice to help dilute the sweetness, and that worked well. The workers were nice, friendly, and helpful... and the place was bustling with people coming and leaving well up til their closing time at midnight. If you want a seat here you might have to wait a bit as there's not that much seating inside. Miss the pre-pandemic days when it was easier to find cute, cozy coffee shops that are open later. Times have sadly changed. Thankful 7 Leaves has enough foot traffic and staff to stay open all hours of day. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! I would say I have my fair share of boba drinks and know what the difference between Assam Black milk tea and Jasmine milk tea taste like (very different). However, after my first sip of the JASMINE milk tea I ordered, the taste had ZERO Jasmine floral notes to it and tasted like a regular milk tea. After returning back into the store to kindly told them that the drink tasted like straight milk tea and believed they accidentally got my order wrong so they could remake it. The girl working there (she was wearing black lace that day) gave attitude for NO reason and had such poor customer service. It wasn't busy, she just doesn't know how to be a good worker or even a good person. She was grunting and making rude remarks the whole time when she only had to mix milk and tea together. This location is bigger than the other irvine location, but still unexpectedly tight compared to the exterior ( some small cafe chairs, but def more for solo patrons). There's a self service kiosk! But I wasn't sure where to scan my app for leaves. (lol I forgot I had the app). Unexpectedly, a lot of people go up to the register to order. This location has croffles and ham n cheese! I think strawberry crossiants are on availability basis as its not on the menu. What do I like about 7 leaves? Their drinks have enough flavor where you don't need pearls and its a solid selection. I got the sea cream jasmine tea- solid, I would recommend just mixing it as its not salted cheese foam (no cheese flavor), I mean u can sip the top and drink it just be careful swirling. I tried the green Thai tea- it was very pretty, but I think more floraly than I prefer ( which just shows quality tea?) Had high expectations for this 7 leaves (considering all the other ones I've tried in SJ and socal have been really good), but this location fell a bit short when it came to the quality of their drinks. Ordering felt a bit long/inefficient, so I would recommend making an order ahead of time online or on their app. We saw a girl walk out with a cup that was only 70% full (despite ordering the regular size). My drink (ca phe sua da) was 20% foam (which disappeared once you mixed the drink), 50% ice and seemed to be overfilled since the drink lid was covered with extra liquid that spilled everywhere because the barista didn't wipe up before handing it to me. My boyfriend's matcha latte was also super grainy, with sugar crystals and matcha powder on the bottom. Not sure if their drink quality was poor because of the constant line, but for such a wait, I really expected better and would recommend checking out the other location in Irvine instead of this one. read more
