We had some time to kill in Houston while waiting for our evening flight and decided to try out this Cajun place and get some food for lunch. The guy working the counter was super helpful. Sadly they were out of crawfish for the day which is what my husband wanted, but we decided to try some other stuff. We split a Cajun boil with shrimp, potatoes, sausage and corn. We got the 7 spice sauce medium heat. I will say that heat level was way warmer than expected. I couldn't finish the corn, my husband had to because I would have died from the heat level. The 7 spice was okay. Not as flavorful as I expected. The shrimp were fresh and tasted good. I got a piece of fried catfish with the dirty rice. The catfish was cooked perfectly and I love their tartar sauce. They give you way too much rice. Half my plate was rice and I couldn't even finish a quarter of it. My husband got the blacked catfish poboy and said it was amazing! he also got the same rice and half his plate was covered. They can dial down the portion of the rice for sure. Overall good place. Called to order and the cashier hung up on me, when I called back no apology or anything/ I asked for salad in a separate container so it wouldn't be soggy because of the blackened fish she said they can't do that (lies) then when I got there she refused to give me any dipping sauce and made me pay! Ive decided and wanted 7 spicy today , keep in mind I don't order much, simply rice with crawfish tails , the rice was so hard and top wasn't hot the bottom was!!!!! I was very confused on why the rice hard as brick. The manger at the time CATHERINE WAS RUSHING TRYING TO LEAVE , I'm paid customer I spend so much money and brought so many clients. Yes I was upset but she should of handle it way better she suppose to be a leader instead she became a LAWYER ARGUING WITH ME OVER MY MONEY, but teach it's on , rice is so simple to make instead they gave me cold hard food. Ok, I had time to think about what I wanted to say. 7 spice in my to-go place for boiled shrimp. I had a few extra chances to splurge once in a while, and last night I was carving shrimp. On 2/10/26, I ordered the 1lb EZ peel shrimp combo with extra corn, sausage, and white rice. 7 spice and spicy to go. I got home, and right away I knew my order was wrong because all I smelled was butter! I've never had a problem before. Half my shrimps were soggy and mushy. My potatoes were breaking apart as I picked them up. Half of my shrimps went to waste. I wasted $27 on my order when I really just wanted my food. No, I didn't call to report it because I was not leaving my house to get an order; they might mess up again. So I was really disappointed and needed my shrimp fix. read more

Catherine, the hostess has a HORRIBLE attitude. She placed me on hold for 15 min which is fine, I understand she has to take care of people in the store first but when I am placing my order and first time getting a fish poboy for another customer, allow me to ask the customer what they would like; instead she caught an attitude and hung up in my face. I'm not sure if it was because they are busy but the attitude she provided a loyal customer is absolutely unacceptable. Food is usually pretty good but some of the employees are rude af. Went there on 2/12/25 around 1:30 and those two girls in the back were just nasty for no reason. I was visiting my daughters to see Beyoncé and I couldn't leave without getting me some boudin balls! This spot was located in a strip mall of stores on the my way to the airport. Small space to eat, looked clean, and the staff was very helpful and patient, my wait was not long. I got 3 of the balls, although I contemplated getting more! After one bite, I instantly wished I had gotten more. I also tried the gumbo. The gumbo was pretty good. It had little spice but not a lot, nice balance of rice and soup. I enjoyed it. Everything was good. I'd most definitely stop by one of these establishments and I'm so glad I was able to go to this one on my way out. read more

Been seeing these all around Houston in the 2yrs we've been here but today is our first time stopping in. This particular location may have not been the best one to get out first impression. Upon entering the first thing we noticed was how UNclean it was and the employees sitting around fraternizing. Not sure if it was there break or lunch but it was not a good look being how dirty the tables were. Customer service sucks.. a bunch of young kids that seem to be unhappy working. The ONLY reason I give them a 3 star instead of a 1 is that the food was actually decent. I had the Big easy combo and my fiance had the head-on combo. Everything tasted good. Fish was fried right shrimp could have had a little more flavor but they were still ok. I will definitely patronize them again, just not this location. read more

I spent $100 on 4 people. It took 10 minutes to place our order with the high schooler. Every aspect of our order was screwed up. My to go order was plated and when I reminded them it was to go, she huffed off. I asked 20 minutes later where my order was and was told it was left out in the kitchen and cold so they had to remake it. The two teens I was with had multiple issues with both of their orders and got so upset I had to have a talk with them. My order was for shrimp and crawfish and all I got was crawfish because no one pays attention to your order here.
