Great service and delicious food. Everything I've eaten here is always made fresh. Very interesting dishes on the menu. Had a really yummy fruit salad. Very unique flavors: fruits, fresh mozzarella, avocado,salad greens (very fresh) and a delicious poppy seed dressing. Quality ingredients. Went to Brick Cafe and had the total opposite experience. Like other yelp reviewers stated, poor wait staff, looking unorganized and running around the restaurant! I ordered the linguica and eggs. Thank you to the Brick Cafe for a great Anniversary breakfast. Our hiking group ate there yesterday. 9 of us. I had called ahead to let them know and they were all ready for us. Nice table, beautiful decorations for the holidays and water for the table. Wonderful, efficient, friendly wait staff who made sure we had everything we needed. Food was great from french toast, vegi omelette, and good old scrambled eggs. A few misses like roasted veggies side that wasn't quite hot. But overall good, hot, timely. The food was ice cold when it came out. Pancake was hard and the mushrooms in the omelette were mostly raw and not even cooked the whole way. When I sent my plate back I had to eat my less then appetizing pancake while my breakfast companion enjoyed his full meal. We were done when my remade food was finally ready. This was the second time we at here. I had a grilled seafood sandwich. It was horrible. I figured it was not fresh shrimp and crab. But for $16 they could have tried a little harder. But it was really bad. My husband had a California burger. He said the meat tasted weird. The fresh fruit and side salad was excellent. Probably won't go back. The owner of that restaurant doesn't seem to have an understanding about how a restaurant is run from the poor hostessing job she did to the Terrible way that she mishandled ($2 discount) compensating us for receiving cold food, never receiving toast, being poured burnt coffee, and having an overall bad experience. The food was not great, it was okay. The atmosphere is nice, but not enough to make up for the lack of good customer service completely by the owner. I really wanted to like this place, but they're just not consistent. We have been here four times, and I order the same thing the greek Scramble, and it comes out different every time. The food is bland, and they always bring your toast out 5-10mins after your main dish. My husband orders the corned beef hash with an over medium egg, the egg is never over medium. I love this place! It's great for breakfast and lunch! My favorites are the banana strawberry French toast and the Denver omelette. The syrup is always so warm and gooey it perfectly compliments either the French roasts or the waffles. And the service is always so friendly and quick to accommodate you and your needs. Ordered a scramble and eggs Benedict. Pretty standard fare I thought. When the waitress brought the dish she pretty much dropped it and left and never came back. I attempted to eat either and they were not edible. I am not one to ever send food back but I asked the waitress if the dish looked right. She said she would ask her manager. One has to be very patient right now to eat here. Service was so slow. Someone a table over from us had been waiting 45 minutes. My burger was all right, but the fries were cool and tasteless. Steak fries would be better, or very freshly cooked string fries. The Reuben and slaw were good enough. The coffee was what I call "Grandma's coffee". I trust the restaurant will improve with experience. My guess is that they are trying to do too much. A nice tight menu would help the staff to cook and serve in a timely fashion. I'm writing in hopes that things get better but so far my parents have been twice and this was my first time and it wasn't good. The updates to the building were great. The service was not good and the food was bland and not good. I got the strawberry waffle and got my kids a ham and cheese omelet. I was delivered a banana and strawberry waffle. I didn't want bananas so she took it back, took the bananas off and didn't add any more strawberries. I had SIX strawberries! That was it. The waffle was like rubber, not crisp and golden. I didn't get syrup or whipped cream so I had to ask. My kids didn't get any ham in the omelet so they brought out a piece! The ham was actually good. No butter for the toast so again we had to ask. And our server was in the back for a long time so each time we asked for a missing item it took forever to find her. The Ice tea was terrible. Tasted like dish soap My mother said she had the french toast and felt it was bland. Not enough cinnamon or spice. And like others it was slow to get our food. I was told they will be opening for dinner soon but still need to work on some things. I won't be back for a while. read more

Came here for breakfast with my family the service was good and the staff was friendly. The food was just ok the server didn't seem to know the menu well as I had to ask if my meal came with bread and what sides. My plate was eggs simple and just ok but it was cold. But my mom and sister got chilaquiles which were extremely sour. When my mom mentioned that she wouldn't have them the owner did not care and said that's the way they are suppose to be. Did not apologize or offer to have her get anything else. If you are a new place looking for business you should care about the customer and make sure they are satisfied in my opinion. Don't think I will be back but we had to come try it out. read more

If I could give no stars I would. It's atmosphere is very nice. Updated walls and bar top. It was cool that they had a wide selection of beers on tap. I ordered the crab Benedict which I was so excited to try, it came to the table per my request of over medium hard. I cut it open and the eggs were cooked perfect but I took my first bite and the crab tasted as if it was tuna mixed with mayo. The crab flavor just wasn't there. The sever was wonderful and took the dish back and asked if he could get me anything else but that bite had ruined the whole meal. I opted out and just paid for my beer. I would give 3 stars (an OK rating), but the restaurant needs to get properly staffed. The last visit my husband walked out after 15 minutes of not being approached by a server. The table next to him was waiting longer than he was. Also, there's a fly problem. For some reason they're dead-bolting open all of their emergency exits, and the tables that sit near those doors get swarmed with flies. We will wait a while to go back. Perpetually understaffed. Food is good, but service is poor mainly due to under-staffing. Long waits for service, drink refills, getting the check, etc. We have generally gone there on Sunday morning, so not sure about other times. Last time there I had iced tea that had a really bad taste to it, so I switched to water. Took 20 minutes to get the attention of someone. Then the iced tea was still on the bill. First time at this cafe. First impression was unique and fun. With a large map of the U.S made out of wine bottle corks, license plates from all over the country decorating the brick walls. Food was very generous portions during breakfast/ brunch. Service was slow in fact my server never came to ask what we would like to drink to start off with.
