So I tried calling again still could not get through. they told me they were going to cancel it and refund my money. But no they charged me anyways. So I got charged and no refund! Not nice! My favorite is the pure black tea with no sugar and half ice. It tastes very good. The lemon black tea and iced coffee also taste good. I love getting their sea salt coffee hot with a pastry. My favorit pastry right now is the coffee cruffin. I also ordered a few other of my favorite goodies for the fam. The service is excellent! They have their pastries pre- wrapped which makes checkout easy and quick. There are maybe 2 seats inside for people waiting for their drinks, but normally people just stand aside to wait. There is a queue for the regular line which keeps the small bakery from feeling chaotic. They aren't getting more than 2 starts still, but I did receive a full refund albeit not until I openly complained here. They probably wouldn't have done anything unless I made it public. DO NOT USE THE APP. The app is incredibly useless. It doesn't have all the items you want on there, so there is literally NO point in having to actually use it. It's better to still GO IN PERSON. If I get asked 3-4 times next time why I'm BUYING SO MUCH AND NOT USING THE APP, it's because I will flat out tell them the app is 1000% useless. They have no point system or discount for using the app. I don't honestly see a point in using a system that won't even let you modify the drink menu. You can't even get alternative milk?! Literally even the most basic coffee places have an easier app. I think the app was literally made as a quick cash grab for ignorant buyers. It is MUCH MUCH MUCH better to go in person. Again, if this location gives you a hard time, just say they need to improve their app before you'll use it again. Overall, I will still be purchasing from this location, but they still won't earn my 5 stars till they fix and improve that app. Also, they need to train their employees to literally CHECK the items. Since the store faces the sun, it is extremely warm in line, and on a busy day, standing there in a long line, you will sweat. I highly recommend the owner to put more shades or film on the windows. I feel like most have crazy lines and wait times when they are new, but this location has been here a while and it's still crazy. A lot of people seem to be trying the bakery for the first time, so it may be a bit busier because of it. Besides really long wait times at this location, the quality of their baked goods and drinks remains stellar as always. I will say that I love sweet drinks but almost every drink made at an 85 degrees location is too sweet, so I do ask for 50% sweet or less for sweetness levels when ordering. Any of the savory breads are great, and for a sweet bread, my favorite is the matcha choco bun, I think it's very unique and has a great flavor. As for the drinks, they are affordable compared to specialty boba shops and quite good depending on what you order. It is helpful that they have kiosks for drink orders, too if all you want is a beverage, so you don't have to stand in line. I've been visiting and eating everything I can @ 85° Bakeries across the state for years. I absolutely love ALL the desserts here. I love traveling to different ones because each bakery has a few of its own unique pastries or desserts. The Pacific Islander/Asian and polynesian side of me is drawn to these bakeries, but this is definitely my favorite. The flavors of the pastries and cakes bring me back to places like the Philippines and Hong Kong. Even though I believe this place is Taiwanese, they still have a mix of differand Pacific country cultures from Asia and the Islands. From lychee to dragon fruit, and coconut to ube. I love them all. My go to is the ham and cheese, jalapeño cream cheese bread, chocolate chip coffee. We also pick up some extras: lemon cupcakes, chocolate bread, bread with custard, one with potatoes inside and so many more. Since covid they've pre-wrapped everything and they got rid of the tongs.
