Today was the day I walked in before 11am. A few minutes before they opened and Gavin was making the pies for slice sales. I had one thing on my mind since I heard about this place making Detroit style pies. I ordered a large Detroit cheese. I only ate one slice before buying a slice of round cheese to help me make a fair review. Both styles were great. With Annessos right down the street where the best pizza in Fresno is made IMO this could have been a rough score. I've eaten more pizza in my 66 years than Dave Portnoy and I lived the first 19 years of my life in northern NJ. That said 99 Craft has a very unique and delicious Detroit style pie. The puffy yet crisp crust is outstanding. The sauce they ladle over the top was so good I almost chewed my fingers off. I believe the thick crust is par baked and finished in the oven after you order. Either way I believe the Detroit style pies they churn out at 99 Craft are absolutely in the conversation of the best pizza in Fresno. I may be a retired furniture business veteran but pizza is my passion and 99 Craft is the kind of business that gets me excited. Order this pizza every chance you get. The owners name is Steve (I think) and he deserves to be successful at this daring endeavor in a town with hundreds of pizza choices. Crazy Bernie is a huge fan.

First time to try this place and I ordered the most popular pizza called Pinnacles PBR Detroit style. $22.75. I ordered for pick up and couldn't resist to have a slice before leaving the restaurant. I ended up eating there cuz it was too good to wait. I will definitely come back.

I love this pizza and the first time I got it the same style and size it look bigger than this one this time. So I measure it to make sure. The description says 8 by 10 and this one it's a little bit too smaller. Maybe they didn't use the mold or something. I missed a little chunk. I love this pizza so a little missing it's a big loss for me. The flavor it's there and I really would like to keep on coming but please make it the right size next time. Thank you for making great pizzas. Staff it's very helpful and nice. I opened the box until I got home and didn't want to go back since I live on the other side of town.

Awesome pizza and wonderful staff! I was introduced to Detroit Style Pizza when I was living in Texas, of all places. LOL. I'm glad to have a place out here. Everything I've tried here has been outstanding. The staff is accommodating the best thing - they offer build your own with other sauce options! It works out perfectly for me since I have a tomato allergy. I also have different options of sauces not just one. I also suggest the garlic knots. They are perfect. Crusty exterior, pillowy interior. Perfect amount of garlic, herbs and other seasonings. The restaurant itself is always clean and easy to get to. They also have a great reward program.

For two decades, 99 Craft Pizza has been serving some of the finest pizzas and crafted dishes in the area, using quality, locally sourced ingredients and hand-crafted recipes. Their Detroit-style pizzas are among the most popular items on the menu -- and for good reason. Often mistaken for Chicago's round, deep-dish pizza, Detroit-style pizza is its own delicious creation. It is baked in a rectangular steel pan, featuring a thick but airy crust with a chewy interior and crispy, caramelized cheese edges. The sauce is layered on top -- sometimes in stripes -- and traditionally uses Wisconsin brick or mozzarella cheese. I first discovered this pizzeria during a Yelp Elite event last month and had the chance to sample several of their signature offerings. The standout was the Pinnacle PBR, which left such an impression that I came back for more. On my return visit, I ordered the Valley Deluxe, available in both Detroit-style (which I chose) and round California-style. It is their take on a classic combination pizza -- topped with pepperoni, Italian sausage, bacon, red onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, garlic, basil, and house red sauce. The Valley Deluxe delivered an impressive balance of flavors and textures. The salty pepperoni, spicy sausage, and earthy mushrooms complemented the fresh peppers and fragrant basil beautifully. The crust was golden brown, light and chewy inside, with just the right amount of crisp on the edges. The sauce was rich and layered with savory, sweet, and tangy notes. Each slice looked as good as it tasted -- fresh toppings, generous cheese, and an inviting aroma. Service was friendly and attentive, matching the quality of the food. The restaurant itself is tucked behind major businesses near the corner of West Nees and North Palm Avenues. Though small in size, it is a hidden gem -- one of the few spots in the Central Valley specializing in Detroit-style pizza. Every item, from pizza to garlic bread, is prepared with care and top-notch ingredients. I only wish I had discovered this place sooner. 99 Craft Pizza is a true standout -- delicious, satisfying, and one of the best pizza experiences I have had in quite some time.

The service was amazing! The woman who was helping us was very nice and energetic! The food came out fresh and quick! The wait was only about 15mins for all 3 items we ordered. When we got there late Saturday night (7:30pm ish) it was pretty empty with only 1 other man inside with us. It was very clean and felt very well put together! The food was excellent! We got the Pinnacle BBR (Detroit style) and the Underground Gardens (cali style) along with the garlic cheese bread. Both pizzas were excellent! The garlic cheesy bread was just alright. It sounded extremely good at the time but it turned out to be much closer to "eh". I'd get it again if I were craving cheese bread, but I would opt to skip it in general. Overall, everything was delicious and the service was fantastic!!

It's so good to have high-quality craft pizza in Fresno! We got the Pinnacle PBR and Berry Dessert pizza. We had the PBR Detroit style. I'm not sure I've had a better pizza in my life. It was perfect for me. Pepperoni, hot honey, ricotta, fresh basil, cheese, fresh marinara. It was spicy, sweet, chewy, and maybe the best part, the crispy, caramelized cheese edges. It was the perfect pizza.

As Yelp Elites, we're there to support local spots and bring in the foot traffic that helps keep doors open, so enthusiasm goes a long way. I was also put off by John's comments about customer feedback. Yelp exists to help businesses stay accountable and consistent. The experience didn't feel very personal or connected; his story about 99 and Detroit Pizza came across more like a generic business concept than something authentic or rooted in passion.

Ambiance average & service was mixed (2 ppl, one not great as he seemed annoyed & didn't know about the Yelp Elite event despite it being late afternoon on the second day but other guy was fine). The double pepperoni Detroit was good but also really salty. Would've liked more sauce too. The regular cheese was ok but the crust, as you can see, was pretty dark to outright burned. Not a great representation of the product IMO. Appreciate their participation in the Yelp Elite event tho.

I absolutely Love this place. Location is a kinda tough to find. Food is well pried and excellent! Service is always good by the staff. Restaurant is nice with a few tables to eat there. I got the PBR pinnacles Detroit style. This is my favorite pizza in town now. I highly recommend giving this a try when you're craving pizza!

Of course, again, I ordered my favorite Detroit style pizza, via DoorDash, the Pinnacle PBR. I shared, therefore my spouse is now a fan. Not surprised to see more patrons dining and waiting for their orders. Our pizza was ready when we arrived, served by friendly staff, and the dining area was clean and tidy. Plans to return soon.

The service was the first thing that impressed me here. They really take pride in what is on the menu and enjoy telling people about it. I was not sure what the pizza was going to be like, but let me tell you it was some of the best and unique I have ever tasted(and I grew up in Chicago!). This is easily worth the 25 minute drive and if you want a recommendation, try the pinnacles PBR. I am so happy I found this place! read more

I don't want this to be a negative review but more of a learning review. I know they are new and working out kinks. I ordered a Detroit double pepperoni and it had great flavor my only complaint is the pepperoni tasted not cooked. The crust and sauce were delicious. The pepperoni around the crust was good it had a little crisp to it. It was the pepperoni on the pizza that felt it wasn't cooked. I also ordered a round pizza, I got half/half. The top of crust was amazing crisp and chewy. The bottom was underwhelming and very limp. Again the flavor of sauce and toppings were good. This pepperoni tasted better than the Detroit style. I will give them another try when they've been open a little longer. read more

New establishment which opened two weeks ago! Plenty of parking, kind of hidden in the plaza but was able to find on gps. I got the chicken garlic pizza and it did not disappoint, the garlic sauce was heavenly! Worth every single penny.. Absolutely delicious. We always have left over pizza that gets thrown away eventually. Three pizzas were gone before the end of the night. We got the underground garden with Detroit crust, the PBR with Detroit crust, and the spicy Hawaiian with regular crust. All equally excellent. PBR was the favorite of all though. The only thing that could make this place better would be draft craft beer.. We will be back. read more

Their pizzas are great, and the service is top notch! My wife has a gluten and dairy allergy, and their pizza is the best she has had!!! I came in on a slow night, and one of the owners were working the line. He took the time to talk to me about how his partner has made it his passion to make great gluten free pizza because he has celiac's disease. I told them they nailed it! Me and my daughter loveeee pizza so we are super picky, especially due to her food sensitivities. This was such a high quality pizza for it being gluten-free and vegan cheese! My daughter and I danced in our chairs! We are trying hard to find new places that offer vegan cheese pizza because the stomach ache with regular cheese hasn't been worth it, it hurts my baby girl too much. And I just want her to enjoy a good pizza without the pain! The fries were also amazing! The really unique thing I found pleasantly delicious was the hot honey! And the service was amazing, the young gentleman working was super nice and helpful, answered every question we had. We definitely will be back! read more

Seven of us from our church lunch group visited 99 Craft pizza. The owner is very cool and he even gave us donuts made from pizza dough. This is the best pizza in the valley. The Detroit style pizza is so good, and not as filling as you would think with a thick style crust pizza. They use unique and quality ingredients. The salads are the freshest salads I've ever encountered from a pizza joint. I highly recommend you order directly through their website for a flat $5 delivery vs going through Door Dash. It's significantly less expensive with better quality food! Win-win! read more

Been wanting to try this for a while but my schedule never seemed to work until yesterday. Let me say that I am so glad it did. The smell of sauce and cheese hits you as you walk in which in my books is . The employees that helped me were super friendly and extremely helpful. I got the double pepperoni (Detroit style). Let's just say I have driven more than 3 hours for Detroit style pizzas more than once and now I don't have to. This is how Detroit style pizza should be done. From the fresh ingredients to the crispy edges of the crust. This pizza was a 10/10. Got a chance to meet John, one of the establishments partners. Super friendly and engaging. That just added to the overall great experience. Can't wait to go back to try more of their creations. The Detroit pizzas are fantastic. The crust with the crispy cheese on the edges are the best bites. Didnt expect to like it as much as I do. Generally the thinner new york style is more to my liking. Havent tried the regular crust pizzas yet as I cant bring myself to skip the Detroit style lol. Its fantastic. The toppings are a side note to the cheesy crust if you ask me so choose whichever you like. But make sure you get some hot honey on the side. It works. read more

Try the Detroit pizza. Great crust and loaded with toppings. We had a medium, 4 slices but they were big. Pizza is brought out quickly to our table. Not much seating, maybe 10-12 customers. Looking forward to our next visit. read more

I asked the cashier which one was correct and she said the phone price. But then why have the different price on the door? I don't mind either price but it is misleading seeing the 2 different prices. The pizza was delicious though.

I took pictures of the pizza when we got home. I can't mention anything about the staff as I didn't encounter them so I don't know if they were following the COVID protocols. Anywho, I didn't get to see their full menu only what the dude sent so I opted for a personal pizza. The pizza itself taste like Me n Ed's do nothing special but $10 for a personal pizza is quite pricy in my opinion! The dough was thin and crunchy and my toppings were delicious. It was a tasty pizza but would I go out my way to come here again no as there is a Me n Ed's literally right behind where we live and more affordable. However, if I am at food truck event or an event and craving pizza...heck YES I will get my pizza on in a heart beat as the access is convenient and different from typical trucks. I honestly would come here again only for an event like Truck Throw Down or those Grizzly games or events at Woodward park but on regular days I'll stick to my my local favorites. I would honestly recommend definitely to try them! The personal pizzas are not worth the price but possible error on our end as they do have other options. I do want to engage with staff and have that experience so who know I may be back soon as I am feeling A LOT better these days. Also, love the stylish truck! Stands out from others :)

The pizza had a GREAT crunch to it which is something I love when eating pizza. The cheese was tasty but the thing that lacked on this slice was the sauce. The sauce was lost...the taste just didn't come through. To speak to the staff I thought they were friendly and responsive. The truck appeared very clean and the service was quick. I can see this pie improving overtime and I hope they continue to refine their product because it's got potential.
