I've never had a need for storage in the past so this was my first experience. I chose A-1 because I needed this space on very short notice (Sat) and they conveniently had options for renting or reserving units online and great move-in specials. In addition, the office was open on Sunday which was perfect, as I had less than 24 hours to get everything moved and stored. After making the reservation online, I received a call immediately after to finalize my reservation, confirm the details and get my questions answered. Upon arriving at A-1, I was impressed to find the rental office immaculately clean and comfortably cool-which was nice after spending the entire morning packing and moving. Samantha was helpful and professional, in completing the rental process, explaining the billing process and even assisted me with getting a coupon for a free lock. The entire facility is spotless, secure and well-maintained. Further, the office staff is readily available by phone and email, which is a huge plus. Upon move-out, Fermin and Samantha were equally as accommodating as was the case at move-in. I couldn't be happier with my experience at A-1 Spring Street (La Mesa), have already recommended to friends and should the need arise, would definitely store here in future! A1 has been the best choice we could've ever made!! Fran and LuLu have been nothing short of wonderful to me and my family. The very first time we walked into the office we were looking for awesome storage rates for an amazing unit alongside fabulous staff. All of these qualities are extremely important to my family when deciding on a unit to rent. LuLu was able to get us a great rate and introduced us initially to quality service we could later depend on. Fran is absolutely amazing and regardless of what issues you may face, will assist you in anyway possible. I could not have asked for more! I got exactly what I was searching for with them and more. The facility is clean, and well cared for. The storage building does not appear to have any rodents, pests, or water damage anywhere. Fran and Lulu assist me and my wife when our rental. They are courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. They provided us with information and accommodated our requests. The transaction was quick and there was no pressure to purchase any add-ons. The locks used here are specialized cylinder locks, which you purchase at the time of rental; don't waste your money on a lock before you lease the unit. The facility has security cameras, concrete construction, fire insulation, and fire sprinklers.The elevators are in excellent condition and carts are available to move heavy items. WOW!! can't say enough about this place. A1 self storage provided me with an excellent service. It was my second time using this storage place and I was extremely impressed on the consistency of their customer service. Upon arrival, I was greeted by FRAN who made the contract very easy to understand and follow. I was able to obtain the storage unit that same day and was very pleased with my experience. Everything was clean, and secure. Fran was very accommodating and within reach anytime I had a question. This is my first Yelp review, and I am writing for good reason. Not only is the facility in superb working order, clean and convenient but Fran went out of her way to ensure that everything was always to our satisfaction. She was highly professional while we had our personal items in storage here, and when she went above and beyond to help us when plans changed. This place does a great job helping those in the military when issues come up, and they offer a military discount. This was our first time taking our business to A-1 from using Public Storage multiple times. I am very satisfied with the service I receive at this A-1 facility, Fran and Lulu have been very helpful; offered promotions when available, reviewed the facility org chart when assisting in finding the best unit based on price and location with the facility. When I had to change my unit to a larger unit at the last minute, they took the time to search out the best unit size for me and one which that would best accommodate the professional movers I was using. Looking for a safe storage place came to a halt when I went into the office and met with the most professional lady I've ever met. She answered my questions thoroughly and then took myself and my wife to the units that (based on what she gathered from interviewing us) she felt may be suitable. Both were good options but one was perfect. We told her we wouldn't need it until the coming Friday and she took our info assuring us it would be held for us. There are two ladies here that are kind and helpful. Fran and Lulu. I feel like they respect me and they help me remember my due date without making me feel bad or wrong when I forget.
