On top of that, he was rude and I tried to strike up a conversation with him because he was in a sour mood. At first he was rude and defensive but then started to be cool which I thought was great because we had a fun conversation!! -- I wanted him in a good mood while he's working on my nails but this guy just doesn't know how to do nails at all!! I even question if he's been to cosmo school or even had a license to do nails! He did my manicure and pedicure used a drill- didn't push my cuticles back or trim them. He did do a decent short massage on one foot/leg was quick with the other. Even my pedicure was a mess and he just smeared it with his finger then female tech came to fix it since he started on someone else. He didn't have me dry my nails- and the coat was too think to dry fast. I tried to warn the new girl that came in but couldn't get her attention. My sister's nails turned out great but a female nail tech did them- forgot her name so just make sure not to go with the male tech. Male tech: if you read this I wish you the best of luck, you're a cool guy but please have someone retrain you to do nails or maybe doing nails is just not for you! You seem miserable doing nails and the results reflect that. I wish I had a good experience and could give 5 stars but this experience was disappointing!

They also listen well to what shape and color you want and give good color recommendations. Don't be afraid to say something if you don't like the shape or color because they will fix it or help you find a color that you do like. Also if you happen to break a nail soon after your appointment then you can come back and they will fix it for you for free which is nice. It's run by a family, and they are all so so friendly and get to know their regulars. They also just got some new colors and started a punch card which is nice if you go regularly. I've brought multiple friends here and it's our favorite nail place in town because they do such a good job. One of my friends said "he is practically painting the Mona Lisa on my toes with how careful he's paying attention". Seriously the attention to detail is much appreciated. I always get dip on natural nails, and it's never messy or too thick. Their tools are always clean. It's best to go first thing in the morning on the weekend or in the middle of the day on a weekday. It seems like the busiest times are weekends, and weekday late afternoon/early evenings. It's good to call ahead and make an appointment.

The technician called the manager over, and he initially told me that additional polish wasn't needed. It was a bit frustrating because the issue was visible and easy to correct. Thankfully, the technician who worked on my daughter's toenails understood what I was asking and agreed that the area needed more polish and fixed it. I appreciate that the technician helped resolve the issue, but the interaction with management and the lady who did her nails could have been handled better. When a customer politely points out a small fix, it should be taken seriously instead of dismissed.

I got there on time and checked in and they gave me some nail swatches to look thru. After a few minutes, they sat me in a Pedi chair. When she finally got to me, we exchanged pleasantries because it had been awhile since I last saw her. She's very friendly, kind and personable. I like to develop relationships with my Self-Care peeps and it's important to me that they're engaging, talented and easy to get along with. Sandy is that type of person. She's fast and helps me out. I showed her my one broken nail that I told I kept trying to grow out but kept breaking and showed her my thin, scraggly nails. I told her I was trying to grow them out for months after I stopped using Dip Powders. She hooked me up and made them look pretty even if the nails weren't long. I was a walk-in and the only client there yesterday but for a large party, reservations are probably a good idea. It's located conveniently, right across TPC from Target, but is not visible from the road. It's super close for BULVERDE residents and super, super close for Stone Oak and Sonterra.
