While we're fans of the food, there's a couple things to note : 1) The service here is usually ok. There is usually 2 younger employees working so they can be delayed to get to the order window at times. 2) I reccomend ordering online and giving your order ready time an ADDITIONAL 15 minutes. Ex) order pickup time states 5:00, expect it ready at 5:15 at the earliest. 3)The restaurant is in located in downtown Redlands so parking can be difficult. There is very minimal outside seating available. It's located in an alley so it can be easy to walk past.

A simple, "Just so you know, each sauce is $2.08," would have avoided the issue. Transparency about extra charges goes a long way. Because of that experience, I left feeling disappointed. The lack of communication about the additional cost overshadowed the meal.

The problem being that, if you're going to charge premium costs, you had better "bring it" with the food. Mind you: right next door is Sosogu Ramen & Japanese BBQ, Amoi Mok Mok, J Riley and the Redlands Public Market - all of whom have better food for lower prices. With average ratings of 3.5 across the board in all locations, I just don't see Shake Shack keeping up with the competition - but this is merely a personal observation. Sorry - just being honest.

Ive gone to a lot of A&W restaurants all around California over the years. I recently moved to Mentone only 5 minutes away from this location. To be honest I was mortified. The restaurant itself is in shambles. Broken seats, grime covering everything, roof literally caving in and a distinct rotten smell lingering in the entire building. Half the time their "Draft Root Beer" is lukewarm and flat. The service is just horrific. They'll literally make you wait 10 minutes just to place an order because they're taking their sweet time doing whatever the hell they want to do. And even worse...they're rude, arrogant, and uneducated. Best advice I have for any of you....save your money and your time and go somewhere else to eat. read more

As I was walking down the sidewalk, I saw a gleam of light in the distance. In desperate need of food I resorted to my last hope of not dying of starvation, A&W. As I entered I was greeted by a strange oriental lady, my immediate reaction was to alert security as she yelled, "NO MO ICECWEAM", into my face. I continued to have the single most underwhelming and over priced meal in my life. As I sat in shame eating my Choney cheese dog, I realised I'd rather starve and started to leave. But on my way out I saw a bell. I asked the man cleaning what it was for and he said, "You ring it for good service". I walked out of the building, wondering what our world had come to. read more

We had late lunch at A&W, and it was a hit--especially with my boys! They loved the classic root beer floats and devoured the bacon cheeseburger, onion rings, and fried shrimp. But let me tell you... the cheese curds were hands-down the best we've ever had in our lives! The staff were also attentive and friendly making it a great fast-food experience. The best part? I don't like my review but I've talked to the new manager several times saying its F bombing hot in hear and was told we'll try to fix that.
