I may well have written about this before, but the other night we had some friends visiting from out of the country. After a long road trip from Florida on motorcycles, they were in the mood for some good food and some great beers. In Camas, where better to go than A Beer at a Time. They have all of my favorite local beers from every mood that might strike me. Some days you want a great wheat beer, whereas others a hazy IPA or a sour, etc. Their selection is fabulous and the taps are always synched so that you don't get a flat beer or a semi flat beer. The cuisine is what you've probably been told. Great pub grub but with additional specials and just really hearty cuisine. Sadly, I did not have the strength to say no to one of those tasty cheesecakes in the case. It's out there on display much to my chagrin. The nice thing about A Beer at a Time is that you have the options of outdoor on the patio which is never uncomfortable because there's either the breeze or if it's too chilly, the heaters are there to make sure everyone's comfortable. But there's also the bar itself or the tables with the front of the business open for a good circulation. Its there in a good part of Camas where you're also just a block away from five or six other great watering holes. So if at some point you feel the need to go for a walk or sample some of the other local flavors, there you are. We go back a lot because it's a friendly atmosphere and the really great selection of food, and Bev. With good bands, showing up on certain nights, it also varies the atmosphere. Gee, I wonder why my son sent me a gift card for this business on Father's Day. He and his friends came up to visit before their wedding recently, and all of them love the place and they're in their mid-20s. Delightful from the moment we came in until the reheated leftover pizza today . Eating on their lovely deck is great if you are concerned about being close to others. I had a mojito made by a friendly bartender and my husband had a beer. They told us their pizza oven was being repaired when we got there. I told them I was disappointed as we drove from Vancouver to try it. Within moments it was fixed and we ordered a Greek pizza . Guess the oven had been out for a few days so this turned out to be perfect timing. The pizza was very good. I loved that they put a lot of artichoke hearts on it. Usually you have to hunt to find even one. We met the owner and her lovely Bernese dog, Milo. He was a huge bonus. Friendly and clean and very waggy The food was excellent . The staff and owners were great . No question we will be back. I just wonder when as I am ready!! read more

To be honest, we wondered upon this place on our drive back from a hike in Stevenson. WA, I we couldn't have been more satisfied. The place was one of only a few in Camas that were open for dine in and they showed obvious signs of keeping the public safe. They placed tape down to keep people at a distance and posted their menus up for customers. All orders were placed at the bar and minors were permitted to order at the bar as well since bar sitting is not allowed at the moment. The servers were constantly clearing and cleaning up after customers and they wore gloves and masks. The bar had plexiglass to further protect the staff and customers while ordering, the tables were spread apart and X's marked in tape was placed on tables to keep people from sitting too close. The food was delicious and served quickly. We showed up at 3PM just after the start of Happy Hour (2PM). We ordered Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings and the Happy Hour Hummus Plate. We ordered beer and Ciders and it was the perfect pairing to a beautiful hike! read more

After meeting my 90-year-old grandpa at the Liberty theatre to see a weird Kristen Stewart ghost movie, we walked the two blocks on a beautiful Sunday afternoon to A Beer At a Time and I'm very glad we did. I've lived in Washougal since last summer and I had no idea a place like this existed in the area. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and the first thing I noticed was that this place has a garage door that can be opened to let air in and give the booths near the door an outdoor feel, very cool! The second thing I noticed was the beautiful bar which was made out of a solid slab of wood. Probably the coolest looking bar I've seen. The third thing I noticed was the immense beer menu. It was the most beers on tap I had personally ever seen. There had to have been atleast 30 different beers to choose from. I loved how organized the beer menu was. My grandpa is a Corona and Stella fan so I was able to direct his attention to the "light beer" part of the menu while my eyes were focused on the IPA section of course. Because there were so many beers to choose from, we asked the young female bartender what she recommended, and both of her recommendations were spot on. Very tasty beer indeed. Then it was onto the menu and I loved the food menu almost as much as the beer menu. I really hate brewpubs and taphouses that have huge menus that try to go outside of the normal pub fare by trying their luck at various world styles of food (my old brewpub Northwood in Battle Ground does this for example). Here, the menu came down to pizza and wings. When I saw this, I told my grandpa how other brewpubs should take a page out of their book and do two things and do them well instead of 20 things not so well. The menu was simple, prices fair, and we quickly got our order in for a 12 inch pepporoni pizza. The pizza was piping hot straight out of the oven and very tasty. I wouldn't say it was world-class or anything but then again we did only order a basic pepporoni, it would be interesting to see how their more complex pizzas taste. They claim their wings are world-class and I can't wait to come back and see if that's true. The only knock I could possibly make was it was a little hard to get the bartender's attention to pay for she was chatting it up with a guy dressed in camo (military maybe?). But we did get her attention after only like a minute. However, I have read the other reviews and see that this is the major knock against this place. Non-attentive staff who according to some reviews, will simply ignore you. That's really unfortunate if that is the case because this place is excellent. If you like beer and you like pizza/wings, you can't go wrong here. I can't wait to come back. Me and my grandpa are already talking about doing the movie/pizza thing again in the near future. We had a gathering here tonight for Californians in the Couve. As I looked around at the food, specially the pizzas, I couldn't wait to order mine. But first, I asked for a non- acholic beer. I was told they didn't have them, even though there was a sign advertising non-alcoholic beer. I ordered a did water. As I networked to meet others, the music was great, the atmosphere lovely - really fun. When I came time to leave, I ordered my margarita pizza to go. It came, and and I headed home. Once I got home and opened the pizza, it hardly had any pizza space and was very underdone. I have a pizza crisper, and it was better but still the worst pizza margarita. I kept thinking they would turn around but if they did they would then walk away. So I then stood in line at the "order here" sign. I was the only one there and it was like I was invisible. Love this place. Our office is just down the street from A Beer At a Time and so we love to walk down here for lunch and sometimes drinks after work. The owner and staff are so incredibly friendly. We always sit bar top whereas you do have to go to the bar to order food and drinks. As far as food goes, I have had the wings, pizza, pretzel, fries, and a few other things. They use an air fryer which drastically changes the flavor of the food for the better. I live on chicken wings, like I literally eat them almost every day and this place has some of the best wings I've had. I love the variety of flavours they offer. In regards to drinks, they have a lot of options on tap. Your are guaranteed to find something you like. I typically drink beer while here but you can also get cocktails and wine. The establishment is always very clean in both the restaurant area and the bathrooms. They keep the bar top and tables nice and clean as well. Pretty decent sized parking lot on side of building so parking has never been an issue so far. I highly recommend you stop in and give them a try! read more

My husband and I came with a group of friends on a Saturday night around 7:45pm. The place was very busy and we got one of the last table. We had lots of fun with the live music and stayed till the end. Although the wait was longer than expected for our food, the food, beer and cider were excellent. Their wings are a must! They were not greasy at all and the tastes and spices were just perfect. We ordered 2 flavors (Siracha and jerk chicken). The Hawaiian pizza was very good too. The owner was very friendly, understanding and apologetic for the delay of our food (about a 35 minutes wait). We didn't ask for any compensation but unexpectedly she really wanted to make it up for us and offered a round of drinks on the house! Thanks for your kindness!! Regardless of whether we got the friendly gesture, I am very happy with the food and drinks. I will definitely recommend it to friends and family when they come to Camas to visit! I had a Good lunch here with some friends today. I ordered the Lobster roll. It was very fresh and the bun was fresh and warm. Let's be Honest it was not Lobster but Langostino. It was Very Good a bit to much onion for my taste especially since we have to use mask now. I really would of liked to try their pasta meals, but all were cold. Cold 5 cheese pasta did not entice me. I was told by the owner the place next door serves hot pasta so they are not trying to compete with them. WHAT? Really! The restaurant had Great Covid practice. (No table service) which for me is a Huge turn off. I will most likely not go here as a choice since there are several other restaurants in the area that have table service. Having to wait in a line for a drink or to order your food was annoying when you are on a limited time to visit with your friends you do not want to go stand in a line with one person helping everyone. The thing is, there was at least 3 people serving the food. I feel they can step up in the Service department. My Suggestion! Get table service! read more

If you are a beer fan If you can read Enjoy a Beer at a Time. Open warehouse style taproom with friendly service - if you play by the rules. There's a huge sign next to the well that says "ORDER BEER HERE" and it is, in fact, where you order beer. If you sit at a table and expect to get waited on (and sometimes even at the bar depending on who's working) you will likely leave confused and beerless. Order at the well like a sane bargoer and enjoy the 50 mostly local brews on tap, or try something different from one of the four refrigerated beer racks. If you want to eat something, they have food. The staff are happy to let you sample just about as many beers necessary to find the perfect taste. Enjoy your beer in as much solitude as you desire on the open back patio (umbrellas and nicely finished wood picnic tables) and smokem if you got em. While it may be confusing to newbies, this is a solid spot with amazing brews. Go see for yourself. read more

Great spot for a cold brew with an open and friendly atmosphere. Visited for the first time on a Friday night after a Camas HS football game and to my surprise they were not packed. Had live music for a little while and it was decent. Plenty of microbrews on tap, something for everyone's palate. Limited food offering with more coming soon. 2 x 4 Jenga and plenty of board games offer patrons something to do while socializing instead of being glued to their phones. Only negative and it's very minor; they charge $.50 for a bowl of popcorn, paying $5.00 a beer you would think they'd include the popcorn. Ran in for a late beer with some family members last night, and was very pleasantly surprised. Great ambiance, loved the mix of individual and communal style tables. Noise level was good, although I could see how it could possibly get loud when the place was full. Bartender was super friendly; good with suggestions and sample offering, and the beer selection is ample. Loved the fridges with additional harder to find bottle selection. BRUH, it is currently Sunday, January 17th my significant other and I entered the facility, business was booming which is totally awesome! Place was just speaking the small town vibes! My wife ordered a chicken bacon Alfredo pizza, while I ordered the cheese curds along with boneless chicken bites, 10 minutes in to sitting down they come tell us that bonesless just sold out, we had already paid for our meal so I asked how should we go upon this? There was a bit of a mix up for he was trying to charge me for wings that I already paid for, that got cleared up and the food started coming! cheese curds came first that was excellent! 10/10 unfortunately that was the best of the $71 meal, the pizza had NO SAUCE, THE FRIES CAME SOGGY AND WHEN I ASKED WHY THE WAITRESS JUST GRABBED MY PLATE AND SAID ILL HAVE THEM EXTRA FRY THEM IN OUR AIR FRYER, the fries came back 10 minutes later and I promise you they were as stiff as stone, I could've sworn I chipped my tooth, this place is complete shit read more

Great selection,but every time I go, you have to wait and wait for beer. Having one person pouring is not ideal. They need to have a bar back or someone who can pour while others are tasting. On a slow night you shouldn't have to wait five minutes for a beer with one person in front of you. read more

Came here on a Tuesday night for happy hour and I am so glad we did! This place has a really cool vibe. It's in an open garage setting and feels really rustic and relaxing. They have over 50 beers on tap that are all very unique and delicious! The bartender, Jenny, was extremely friendly and attentive. Not only did she made sure our drinks were full, give us great travel tips for our vacation, but she also created some amazing cider and beer blends that paired perfectly and we ended up getting.
