Our broker highly recommended A Better Home Inspection and because we were so thoroughly impressed with Danny providing the highest level of professionalism and service during his recent home inspection, we wanted to share our observations with you. As you know, buying a home can be stressful. Danny has a calm demeanor that few can replicate. He arrived early, had a great attitude, and was patient and open to answering all of our questions. He even had a drone take photographs of the roof. Danny does not miss a thing. He took contemporaneous notes and photographs on his iPad during the inspection and then sat down with us and our broker to patiently and thoroughly review his inspection, including his notes and pictures. The BEST! We have needed to have a few home inspections done over the years when buying homes and thought we knew the routine. The inspection done by A Better Home Inspection was amazingly different. This is my 3rd home buying experience and it was the best experience I've had. They were on time and got right to work. We were lucky enough to have two inspectors checking my future home out. We arrived on time for our home inspection however, when we got there, Russ had completed the work. He told us everything was fine and the house in great shape. However, shortly after we moved in, we found sinks that didn't drain, doors that didn't lock, including the garage and bathrooms, and veneer on the kitchen cabinets that was being held on by tape! The water heaters were not up to code, spray faucet in the kitchen didn't work, and a number of other issues. We paid to $546.00 for this inspection and would have at least expected to have had these items brought to our attention. read more

A Better Home Inspection is a company that simply does not take any responsibility for their work. They are prompt and cordial during the inspection. However, when you uncover something that they overlooked, as we did in our case, these guys will not be any help to you. When we approached them they were just obstinate and didn't really even care to hear our concerns. And they told us that they weren't responsible for that portion of the inspection even thought they were clearly visual defects. Come to find out Danny is a licensed realtor. Conflict of interest? I think so! Find a home inspector that isn't afraid of being a "deal killer". Further someone who is willing to give you the courtesy of listening to your grievances at the very least. read more

Shortly after moving into our home which was inspected by Forsters, we discovered that the entire roof was rotten. It was so severe that there were actually areas of the roof that were visibly rotten through where you could see the tar paper. The entire roof, including boards and fascia had to be replaced. I approached the forsters to settle the issue in a professional manner and they would not accept any responsibility for their oversight. They tried to blame everybody else for roof responsibility even though their website clearly advertises roof inspection (false advertising). All contractors make occasional mistakes, good contractors handle them professionally and work towards resolution. These folks market solely to realtors and work only to make realtors happy and close their deals. Home buyers beware that these inspectors are not working in your best interest!! read more

If I could give 10 stars I would. When using a home inspection company there is no reason to look any further. We had a situation shortly after moving into our new home. We had an unforeseen electrical issue that was not disclosed when we purchased the home. We called everyone who was involved with the issue and the only company that stuck to there word was A Better Home Inspection by Foster's. I definitely do not recommend A Better Home Inspection for several reasons: for starters, their appointment time was at 1pm; they arrived to inspect at 3pm. They turned every fan on high which caused dust to fly all over our beds in clumps. Also, the inspector turned on the air conditioning the duration (3 hours) he was here with all windows ajar. On their paper that they leave behind for the seller, it says, " Although we make every effort to leave your home better than when we arrived, please excuse any traces that we may leave behind." The inspector actually left our house in worse condition than when he arrived. Furniture moved, gates left open (we have dogs in our backyard), insulation from our attic left on our carpet, sinks left undrained, and leaving our garage door open with our belongs exposed for all to see. Overall, my family was not pleased with this experience. read more

I had a terrible experience with this organization. The owner and a woman did a home inspection and gave me a verbal report on the spot: IN FRONT OF THE HOME OWNER who later told me she was very uncomfortable with that. So was I. I did not feel comfortable asking a lot of questions with the owner within earshot. They rushed through the explanations of their findings, did not show me all of their findings, took only THREE photos and didn't explain a water mark in the garage in the report that they emailed to me. When I questioned the watermark (which they did NOT photograph), they couldn't tell me where it was specifically or what it might be from. I insisted that they go back out and explain it. A week later the owner went back out and (according to my Coldwell Banker Realtor) bad-mouthed me to the owners!! These people are totally unprofessional. In addition, they told my realtor that they would refund my money...and they didn't. Don't buy the "good old boy" shuck and jive" and the avocados they give you like they are down-home and your friend. They are awful. I hired another firm and they were great. Objective, professional and thorough. Run from these people. read more
