So glad to have stumbled in here on the way back from Downtown. The place is so cute and there was such a welcoming vibe. The team was so sweet with my kiddos. Spectacular cupcakes and by far the BEST macaron I've ever had outside of France. (We just moved here from Lyon, France, so I feel like we're properly credentialed macaron aficionados). Also, because we aren't in France (god forbid they mess with a classic ) they've gotten creative with shapes and I adore the cactus one. Obsessed. The few ancillary products I did notice in the store were also high quality and obviously chosen with care. (ROC2 coffee for example.) This shop isn't close to us, but this place is worth a drive. MUST try! Warm, bright and inviting atmosphere with pastries that are so beautiful and insta worthy that I can't wait to go back. Food porn. I tried a lavender latte and a cinnamon roll and my taste buds were singing. Perfect. Every sip and every bite. This isn't your average Starbucks latte, this is a latte sent directly from heaven. As much as I wanted to save half of my cinnamon roll for an afternoon pick-me-up, not a single bite was left behind. The staff were so friendly and had plenty of suggestions when I was staring at the display case drooling. They also welcomed my dog with a smile and a treat. I will be back! Been here multiple times, and every time somehow gets better than the last. Although a bit pricy, it is well worth it. Pastries are good in size and AMAZING. The staff is so friendly- I used to work next door to this place (dangerous) and they knew me name, what my coworkers and I would order, and go above and beyond to make our day. First off this place has a free parking lot right outside which is so great for the location. The staff was very welcoming and super helpful when I was ordering. Don't sleep on this gem. It's inside of A Bakeshop and it's a lot more than cleverly named. First Glance: The interior is cozy and well light and you almost want to have a IG photoshoot inside of it. There's TONS of amazing ice cream cakes, cookies, sweet & savory pastries and I knew it was about to go down. Service: The folks behind the counter were super helpful and kind breaking down and selling us on the baked items. The Food: Almond Biscotti Latte: they have homemade mixins and I chose the almond biscotti which has a great almond flavor. Ice Chai: wouldn't recommend if you're a chai lover. Might be better if made in a smaller cup with less milk but they only have one size Pumpkin Poptart: we had it warmed up and it was perfection. Wasn't too sweet, sensationally flaky, and the pumpkin insides were perfectly spiced. Slice of quiche: The quiche wins for me. That's really all I can say. If you love a good quiche like me, get yourself a slice. Wrapping this up: This is one of those bakeshops where the bakery items don't just look like perfection but actually deliver on flavor. I've been here four times now. I go here because it's on my way to work and there is parking. The pastries are awesome. The coffee is pretty good. The service drives me insane. I spent 16.51 with tip and received zero eye contact, no hello, no thank you, no goodbye. And it took 10 min to get a pastry (not heated) and an iced latte. 1 person with 1 drink in front of me. Also the counter person was very fixated on drinking her matcha (from a glass cup with no straw or lid) and bringing it with her everywhere... to the pastry case and back to the register. I would love for this to be my local spot but sadly no. It may be a script at Starbucks but at least they say good morning. read more

This is for sure one of the cutest coffee/pastry shops my wife and I have been to in awhile. Such an inviting space to chill and relax or work and the treats, oh the treats all looked amazing we could have ordered them all! Knowing we would absolutely come back we got the monkey bread muffin as it was recommended to be the closest to the cinnamon roll which is only on the weekend (NoOoOoO!) I'm simple drip coffee wife white mocha oat milk both great and the muffin was well okay, for a sweat treat it just didn't hit. You know when you ask for it warmed up and some of that sugary butter goodness melts and throws a party at the bottom for you to enjoy as your last few bites, this was straight butter no sweat awesome sauce. Which well isn't our favorite but I'm sure great for others. We are regulars at A Flour Shop and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the entire team. My favorite barista, Julia is an absolute sweetheart and she makes the most amazing coffee. My boyfriend's favorite pastry is the monkey bread! They usually put out at least 6 a day so it's worth it to come back again and try something new even if it's out. I bring everyone from out of town here. My only wish is that they were open all the time! Love love love. read more

This little bakery near downtown Phoenix is so cute, and everything we tried was delicious! I'm in town with two of my teenage daughters for a conference, and we walked here from our hotel it was a hot walk, but it was worth it! We tried the blueberry muffin, chocolate croissant, an oatmeal cookie, and a summer fruit danish. All of the pastries were crispy or crumbly, and perfectly layered. To drink, we had the fresh lemonade, a hot Americano with half and half, and an iced cappuccino with whole milk. Everything was perfectly made and a great temperature. The everything danish is one of the best things I have eaten in quite some time. The combination of the croissant, everything seasoning, and the garlic herb cheese on top was heavenly and I can't wait to order it again. It's messy as the croissant is quite flaky but it's worth it! We also got the chocolate croissant, some chocolate chip cookies, and a frosted shortbread cookie which has an incredible frosting that everyone needs to try. Apart from there being absolutely ZERO parking and driving around in circles for 10 minutes straight hoping someone would leave so I could get a quick treat it took FOREVER to get my stuff. There was one person in front of me and it still took so long to receive my small order. The drinks I got were not good and I'm not sure if the person who made them didn't know how to work the machine or what because I was expecting so much more from this place given all the positive reviews. Yes the are expensive 2.75 for mini cupcakes but they taste like heaven. The cupcakes are so well balanced with the sweetness of the icing and the sweetness of the cake. It's not overly sweet and the right amount. You can get 1/2 dozen for 15 and a dozen for 22 I believe. So it's just better to by in bulk because one cupcake will not be enough for you anyways you are going to crave more. I love the lemon, strawberry and funfetti cupcakes they are amazing. I think they do weddings cakes mostly cause they are connected to a bridal shop but I pretty go for the cupcakes which are amazing. read more

Love love love! I had such a great experience with my friend (it was both of our first times visiting). Jules and Ivonne greeted us and served us our coffee and pastries. Jules was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended me the chai and the pumpkin bread which were both delicious! I drove 23 minutes to try this coffee shop. The pastries looked promising and I had my eye on it for quite some time, with fairly high expectations. When I pulled up the parking lot was pretty full and the street parking is NARROW with high curbs. I walked inside and the set up shows the open kitchen concept with the counter to around being around the corner. There were at least 3 girls working the front counter. There were approximately two people in front of me, so not terrible. They make their own in house syrups for sale, which I added to my purchase. Now, I was curious to try some pastries because they look great, made in house from scratch, and seem to put some pride in their pastries they provide. My drink ended up taking like 20 minutes, and there wasn't much eagerness or an attempt to try to get it to me any sooner. This is a long time considering all you have to do is pull a shot, coming from someone who worked in several coffee shops through the years. The girl who was working the register was friendly and pleasant. The girl who was working the other part of the counter (not really sure what she was actually working as another girl was very slowly making my iced drink). I looked at the pastries as I'm waiting and I notice their breakfast croissant sandwiches had flies literally crawling inside of the sandwiches - and after I tried to bring it to the girl who wasn't making my drink or working the counter, she seemed to take it personally as if she made them herself, and stated that there was nothing they could do and flies are going to be around. Then proceeded to tell me they put them in the toaster oven. Ah okay. Thank you. Let me eat fly feces and a toaster fried fly. Here's a suggestion - put a cover on them. Put the rest in the fridge and have one out for display. That's gross and the fact that wasn't an ounce of shame or apologetic attitude, and was in fact given push back - is beyond me. It's a shame, because this place seems to have a lot of potential. Hopefully they take measures to address this to protect the pastries they worked so hard to make. It's just felt like a really disappointing experience to walk away from after spending the money to support them and go out of my way to make a priority to try them and bought a drink and syrup. From someone who works in customer service, I didn't feel like the baristas response towards me was warranted at all. read more

I accidentally found aFlour Shop and aBakery Shop while on my IPad and am grateful I did! My friend and I decided to check out this bakery and flower shop after skimming through pictures of it on 7th Street south of Roosevelt. A warm welcome in by a likable owner and staff we studied these yummy looking pastries as we decided what we would nosh on while we sipped our coffees and teas. Picking the right pastries and baked goods was hard because they all looked so delicious. We deuces on a coffee cake muffin and a rich chocolate croissant. My croissant was so good that I bought my husband one as well as a blueberry muffin and two small tasty looking cupcakes. Trust me when I say- he didn't wait u til the morning to sample his goodies!
