I called Pride Mechanical on Sunday and left a message on their non emergency voicemail. They called me first thing Monday morning, and we set up an appointment for a timeframe that worked with my fairly busy schedule for that day. Really convenient. Got a text saying they were on their way about 5 minutes after the 3 hour appointment window started. They were at my home in like 20 minutes after receiving the text. The inside of my house was kind of messy, but they didn't even need to come inside. They were able to go straight to my units and start their diagnostics less than 3 minutes after arriving at my home. Within about 15 minutes they had successfully figured out and fixed the problem. I could not have asked for a better experience. I was very grateful and impressed. The technicians were polite, friendly (and not aggressively friendly if you know what I mean), and did a great job discussing my HVAC system and answering my questions without getting overly technical or insulting my intelligence by being overly basic. As AC repair experiences go, this was the best I've ever had. The speed of service and professionalism was first class all the way.

Jorge and Brian have been…read moreperforming routine maintenance on my unit for the last few years, after I initially called Chesapeake Heating & Air Conditioning because my 1-year-old unit was blowing warm air, and I thought it had already died or had a major Freon leak. Brian walked in, took a look at the unit and said he knew EXACTLY what the problem was five seconds later. He saw the float valve was popped up on the drainage tube (which I didn't even realize was something I needed to be on the lookout for ). He cleaned out the drainage tube and the rest of the unit for good measure, and I appreciated both the quick assessment, resolution, and education he gave me on maintenance during that visit. I signed up for their twice-yearly maintenance package that day, and I've been a happy subscriber ever since. Jorge has come to do the maintenance the last couple of times, and he is thorough and equally as knowledgeable as Brian. When he had a concern about the air flow coming out of one of the vents, he was quick to volunteer to crawl under the house to take a look at the duct work, and I really appreciated his honest assessment of it. The insulation is starting to fall down and wear out, but I was pleasantly surprised to hear that I could save up a few more years before the ductwork would probably actually need full replacing, and he gave me a ballpark figure based on the square footage and number of vents in my house, so I can plan accordingly. Much appreciated!! A company that employs people with such knowledge and integrity is a company that will have my business for decades to come. Their twice-yearly maintenance for heating and air conditioning is easily one of the best (and surprisingly affordable!) investments I make each year. Worth every penny!

I was so worried that I was about to have a three day weekend without AC ahead of me. Thanks to Connor Air Repair (and my landlord for scheduling the appointment) I'm up and running again before 2pm! Not only did the technicians take care of my issue, but they also went above and beyond to clean the unit and do other more "preventive" care. I really appreciated the social distancing measures that the technicians took as well. Including not having both in the house at the same time unless necessary, wearing masks, maintaining as much physical distance between myself and them as my tiny living room would allow. One was going to be a little work to figure out the other was replacing ducts so I assumed he would come prepared to fix my torn away ducts at the very least. 155$ for absolutely nothing but excuses and he has the gall to tell me it would not be applied to the "work" they would have to come back and do as every other company in the area will do! His quote for three ducts was competitive but if he is doing any of the work I wouldn't bother. He did not patch my duct holes close my crawl space door or offer to suction up the water soaked floor after running four or five loads through my washer then tilting it over to inspect it... I ended up going with another company who were a little more expensive but timely respectful and did all the necessary work to ensure the comfort and safety of my family!

We've had workers come into our home who had no clue what they were doing, left parts laying around instead of plugged in where they were supposed to be, and behaving in ways that I'd just say we did not care for and were very surprised by. When we called we'd get no response after multiple attempts, emails would go unanswered, and on and on. The more interactions, the worse the treatment got. When we looked at the DPOR website that checks licensing for the State of Virginia, we quickly learned that the actual company had either been bought out or taken over or merged (however you want to say it), by some company. I don't know the reason(s) for what in my opinion is unsatisfactory customer service or if being acquired has anything to do with it; but....yeah.....in a world gone insane, I don't need the drama of no responses after multiple calls and emails and service I find unacceptable.
