They need to add mimosas as part of the bottomless deal for those that don't care for bloodys, as they are the same price normally, and lets be honest from a business perspective bloody mary mix, vodka, garnishes cost them more then champagne and orange juice. Clearly a management problem but they were not to be seen. Friday night, understaffed. Drinks were a no show (required with the fishfry). Waitress noticed but they still didn't arrive till halfway thru the meal at least 10 minutes latter...and we ate salad and soup pre-dinner. Had to get up to find the waitress to get more of an all you can eat fish fry. By then, the rest of the table was far done with their meals. Very inattentive staff that should also be trained on the cost of regular ordered drinks ie soda. Or at least put some prices in the menu...what a novel idea. Fish was ok. 3 mid size flat pieces of cod with the non-all you can eat or 1 large piece of whitefish. Salad was nice and only $1 extra but very small. Sure isn't the whitefish Wisconsin is used to. Wonder what it is? It was a white fish. Maybe Chinese tilapia. The blackened pan fried version was fine but not very blackened at all. I had a really great time at AJ O'Bradys! We enjoyed the food, the drinks were good and reasonably priced, and the service was great. When we were there, there was a live musician who was really awesome, and the crowd seemed upbeat and friendly. When we went around the holidays, they had a specialty drink menu of Christmas-y drinks. They all looked delicious and stuff I had never seen done before. I can't wait to go back! read more

What can I say usually it's a good place for a burger early Saturday afternoon usually when you get asked how you want it done and request medium rare they could get it close but this thing was shit. We had a good 10 to 15 minutes between visits from our staff Jessica H. We're served food with out silver ware and half the time our drinks were empty when we did get our beers they were not cold and were missing the head you get on the good beer . This new owner, new restaurant in an old location is probably the best we have in a long time. The place has been packed since the day it opened in March. The bar is great. The staff is really outstanding. The food is above average for the Falls...maybe not so impressive if you are from a metro area. So, one big issue... the smokers hanging out on the small porch by the entrance is really unacceptable, but it occurred 4 of the 6 times we visited. Once, we turned around and went to the wine bar across the street (also very good by the way). We spent 180 dollars that night that I'm sure this new Irish pub could have used. Other than that...go. The bartenders are not very friendly or attentive. My boyfriend and I gave this place 3 opportunities to step up their game and they disappointed every time. The last time they made my boyfriend's drink wrong. Instead of offering to remake it, she was very nonchalant about it. I had to specifically tell her to remake it. Staying in the Milwaukee area for the men's state bowling tourney. We arrived on a early Friday evening. Searched for a good place to eat, and A J O'Brady's popped up on yelp. Normally a Irish pub is always a good choice. When we got to the pub the atmosphere was very warm, we were greeted right away with a smiling staff member. The menu was very organized and was to find the items that looked good. I ordered the classic burger, the other guys I was with ordered a stew and the other a chicken dinner. Everything came out perfectly and in a timely matter. Even better everything was delicious! Way better then a large chain restaurant. As it turns out of all the places we could of picked to eat, AJ O'Brady's was the perfect place to start the weekend off. Highly recommend it! read more

This bar is close to where I live and my fiancé and I stopped there after a movie and they had a deal on Tuesday for $2 burger or side with purchase of a drink so we decided to have dinner. The food was very good! I loved the burger and they had a lot of sides to choose from, my issue is the service. Our waitress was very nice and attentive but the bartender was pretty rude. My fiancé asked for a jack and coke and I asked for a vodka lemonade and she brought over my drink and a vodka cranberry. My fiancé told her he had said he wanted and jack and coke and she responded by saying that isn't what he said and shook her head like he was dumb and didn't know what he ordered! I thought it was a bit rude but we went ahead and paid and ate outside. The tables outside are good for when the weather is nice!! I will definitely return and avoid that bartender! read more

Crappy service and overpriced drinks!Went to go for the all you can eat fish fry and we were seriously disappointed! The bartenders had NO personality, they never came around to check in on the customers. We had to wave them down for service. The all you can eat fish fry comes with two pieces of fish at a time and remember to ask for extra tarter sauce or it is another 15 minute wait...... only after you get the attention of the bartender. We had three drinks totaling $23.98 whaaaaa? Not to mention we had to step over a drunk woman who was lying on the sidewalk outside the entrance. Not a pleasant experience. read more

It makes me sad to write this review because I've been to AJ O'Brady's a few times in the past and had a great experience. Today was absolutely atrocious. Jessica H was our server and she was quite possibly the worst server I think I've ever had. We waited a minimum of 15-20 between each visit to our table. She was very unfriendly, treated us like we were her biggest inconvenience of the day-- and there were only 4 of us. The restaurant was nearly empty, maybe 2-3 other tables and 4 guests at the bar. Two of our party ordered the $5 burgers that they have on special on Saturday's. Jessica immediately questioned us and said she thought it didn't start until after 5 pm. She was wrong. Both orders were requested medium rare-- they came well done. One of us ordered chocolate chip pancakes, Jessica didn't even provide us silverware to eat with. The chocolate chips cost 50¢ extra and weren't even cooked into the pancakes. There were maybe 20 sprinkled on top. We sat with empty drinks for over half our meal. She never once asked us how our food was or if we needed anything. My mother ordered a Jameson and 7 up... was served a Jameson with water. We had to go to the bar ourselves to correct the mistake in order to prevent waiting another 20 mins. The beers that were ordered were nearly room temperature before they were served to us. What made matters worse-- we waited so long for our bill that we went up to the bar to pay. They told us that as of three minutes ago, their credit card reader wasn't working so our only option was to pay with cash (we didn't have cash so we would have to pay the fee to use the ATM) or leave our credit card info so they could run it later. Not at a comforting or secure thought, especially considering the experience that we'd had. The ATM was down too, they continued to make it our problem to figure out how to pay the bill before we could leave the restaurant. We had friends help us move who we wanted to take out for a nice lunch to repay for their help. They ended up being the only ones with cash who could cover the bill. What a disappointing day. We will think twice before returning to AJ O'Brady's. read more

This established couldn't have been a bigger disappointment :(. We decided to try it on June 24th. We planned on starting out with the "Irish nachos" only to b told they were out of corned beef. How can an Irish Pub be out of corned beef early on a Friday evening during dinner hour?! I then ordered Irish stew for my entree. The starter salad was sized for a toddler with a couple of tiny chunks of iceberg lettuce and a single shaved piece of dried out carrot. I couldn't believe when the Irish stew came. It consisted of meat (I do not believe it was lamb) and cooked celery in a gravy. There were no "veggies" that you would find in a stew. I thought the Irish used potatoes at least lol. The rest of the family were equally disappointed in their dinners. The "specialty" fish they use for fish fry was no diff than the processed fish found in fish sticks. The Cole slaw was basically cabbage mixed with sour cream and milk-no flavor at all. Service was slow but I will say the waitress was friendly. This is certainly a place we will never revisit and a complete waste of the $70.00 we spent. read more

I had the fried whitefish. It was seasoned well and was very tasty. That and the service was great, but the French onion soup was very bland and almost tasted watered down. Sad day. The potato pancakes were extremely salty and very well done too. Another sad day. Lastly for serving a fish fry in Wisconsin there was no rye bread or bread basket!!! What the heck?! On the menu it said, " bread and Irish butter served while it lasts". I find it ridiculous that this sounds like a common occurrence, and don't seem to care. If there are people there to eat, you make sure you have enough of whatever your supposed to. Sad to say there were more disappointments than not, so I don't think we'll be back. read more

All you can eat fish fry was probably the worst fish I've ever had. 3 of us ordered it............mushy and rubbery-an odd combination, and we all felt the same. I am always in search of new places to dine when given the task of finding a place to eat...any time, really. When asked to find a place for our store's "Christmas" party, I did a little research. I had to find a place that was near all of the employee's homes, guaranteeing a better chance of everyone attending. Well, A.J. O'Brady's fit the bill. I found them while doing a Google search. It paid off. When we entered, we found a great bar table to fit our larger group. It has a very typical "Irish fare" menu, with the names of food items having forms of Gaelic words incorporated in them (see: "Claddaugh Rings"--onion rings). Although, A.J.'s may not be the preferred spot of health-conscious diners (I am one), it is the place to indulge for one meal. You have to give yourself a pass sometimes, and I highly recommend this spot for that indulgent moment. Even though the majority of the menu has some variety of fried food, it is tastefully done. There is no pun intended. The food is prepared well for being battered and deep fried. Perhaps, it is due to the fact that it's not dripping with residual canola (or other) oil. Much like Mick B. noted, this place gets packed, and I have a hunch it's because of my aforementioned notes. They serve up good food, and even I was able to have a grilled chicken sandwich with mixed greens and mustard (hold the cheese and avocado--with those two things, the sandwich is called the "Limerick."). It was tasty and hit the spot. It had been a long time since I had a pretzel roll, and after eating this sandwich, I remembered why I liked them so much. The roll complimented the rest of the ingredients. The portions are just right, except for maybe their version of mac 'n cheese. You get the preferred cavatappi pasta, but it's topped with two different kinds of sausages PLUS choice of soup or salad. I would suggest this dish for patrons that want to split a meal. You could definitely share that entree on date night. Besides being a reliable and delicious location for after work, after a child's sporting event, a Sunday afternoon, etc., I would also tell the single ladies and guys out there that A.J.'s has a bevy of attractive people frequenting the place. Go for the food. Stay for the eye candy and an inexpensive beverage. read more

I come here almost every week, and the food is always good. You can't go wrong with any of the corned beef recipes. Service has also always been great. The staff is extremely friendly and sociable. As for the review a few below mine...how dare some "jerk" pay for the meal you didn't pay for. What a terrible guy. *please note sarcasm* AJ O'Brady's is a great place to go for fantastic Irish food. My only critique would be that they sometimes run out of a few things like Miller Lite or some of the appetizers, but that's not a huge deal. Keep it up, guys! read more

There is NOTHING special about their food. Do yourself a favor and look for another place to dine. My husband and I just ordered 3 appetizers, the wings, pretzels and rueben bites. This review is for O'Brady's LIve which is fairly new. I would have given them a much lower rating had they been open longer to work out the kinks. We were a large group of 16 which can be overwhelming. We came for the music but decided on dinner also. Husbands sat at one table and wives at another. Each table had a separate server. The men received their food and finished before the wives were asked how things were going by Billy, a partner. It was only then that our order was looked into. Our server had now become a bartender and never followed through. Unfortunately, when the food arrived my Merkt's burger was a chicken sandwich. It took longer than usual for a burger to be made and by then everyone had finished eating. The only reason I give 2 stars instead of 1 was the attention we had received from Billy to try and fix all of our issues. Also, another server was stuck with this mess and did a good job to rectify all the issues. He also gets kudos from the group. The wait staff never returned to our tables to fill drink orders. We were forced to order from the bar on our own. The good news is, once our food arrived, we were all happy with what we received. No complaints on taste. The kitchen is so tiny I'm surprised they have the menu they do. Also, the music was great. Menomonee Falls needs an establishment like this! Unfortunately, if they can't get trained staff to do their job, they won't be around long. We will give them another try to see if things improve. read more

Went here last week for trivia night and had a great time. Definitely a fun atmosphere. Also had a shrimp po boy that was also quite tasty. I haven't eaten much here besides burgers but from what I am seeing they have some pretty good tasting bar food. Great food, the fish and chips were excellent and the hot shots appetizer was great. Disappointed by the tiny serving size however; for the prices charged there should have been far more fish and far more chips with my entree. The one thing that knocked my socks off was their Guinness. Far too many places in the U.S. manage to serve poor tasting, terribly poured pints of this delicious Irish beer; A J O'Brady's however presented the 'perfect pour' of exceedingly fresh, great tasting Guinness. read more

Recently our party ordered the all you can eat 9.99 fish fry....they use a fish called bassa and none of us in the party liked it. Also the cole slaw was very bland. Fish fry was terrible! one piece was cooked the other piece was not cooked all the way. When asked by my waitress she said they cook the fish the night before. Cocktails were fair. The staff isn't as nice as it was a year ago. Not sure what happened within the last year but it went down hill! Waitress was honest, music loud, drinks fair, and food terrible.
