Tried this place 2x and my biggest recommendation is to eat it on the spot! It makes such a huge difference when you eat it fresh. Even though the slices are thin, they hold up in spite of all the ingredients. The dough is crispy and slightly chewy, and the crust has nice bits of char. You can also taste the quality of the toppings, which I appreciate. At our first visit, we got it as take-out and drove over an hour to get home. While we could tell it had potential, it did not taste nearly as good as when we had it fresh. It's better if you reheat it, but it's not the same and doesn't taste as good as eating it immediately. We will definitely be back to try other flavors. The cookies here are excellent. They have a very excellent depth of flavor and are not too sweet. I prefer chewy cookies so these are not my favorite, but I do enjoy how well made these are. Of note, there's no parking next to this place. Everyone who says this is the best NY style pizza in Seattle is telling the truth! I loved how thin and crispy the crust was with nice spots of char. The ratio of sauce and cheese was perfect and there were a good amount of toppings. I tried the vodka pizza with pepperoni and burrata and the potato pizza with nduja. Out of the 2, I liked the potato pizza better. I enjoy white pizzas more and the milky salty cheese went really well with earthy potatoes. The vodka pizza was also quite nice. I liked how the cream mellowed out the tomato sauce so it wasn't too tangy. The burrata on top added an extra fresh creaminess that I loved. The chocolate chip cookies are actually really good here despite how they look. I thought they would be burnt since the tops look super brown, but surprisingly, it was perfectly baked. They're super thick cookies a bit on the cakier side but still have a good amount of chew. The chocolate wasn't overwhelming and the cookie itself had good flavor. Although the pizza was good, there were a couple of things I didn't like. This place is super popular so if you want a pizza, you have to order it a day in advance exactly at 12 or they sell out instantly. I really thought this place was going to be overhyped. It was very difficult to order this pizza, but I'm so glad we did. we got the vodka pizza with Burrata and hot honey and our total was $45. definitely a very steep price. it's around $5.50 per slice. The slices are very big so around two slices per person is enough. When we went to go pick up the pizza, she was still making it and it was very fresh. The crust is very crunchy and the sauce is definitely what makes it very delicious. It's a sweet rich flavored sauce and it pairs very nicely with the hot honey. The crust does turn out just a tad bit charred because it's very crispy so this might not be ideal for some people, but I did like it. I don't think I will get it again because it's so expensive but I would recommend trying it. I had very high expectations of this pizza but came out disappointed. Everyone says it's good, food critics says it's one of the best pizza they had, so I expect really really good pizza... 1) ordering this pizza was a pain, they only make a limited amount each day and you get maybe 30 seconds to get your order in or it's sold out. 2) it's takeout only and you have to pre-order online: the online app they use charge a fee...and the pizza is not cheap. We got one Potato pizza and with tax, fee and tip, it was $50+ for an 18 inch pizza 3) parking is horrible. Best if you take light rail. 4) considering how much work I did to get the pizza, I expect it would pay off...but nope. If you don't eat the pizza right away at the store or within minutes of getting the pizza, it's not that good anymore. And if that's the case, they should provide instructions on how to reheat the pizza for the best experience or even give advice on having the best experience, but nope, none of that. We ate the pizza 30 minutes after picking it up and the crust was hard and tough. To make it worse, there was a lot of burned pieces that overpower the pizza flavor. Good thing I listened to my friend and reheat the pizza and it was significantly better. The crust was softer but still had a crisp and flavor was good. I don't see the potato as a standout though. Oh and if this is really new York style, it did not pass, you can't even fold the pizza since the dough was stuff. 5) the cookie was not that great either. I prefer metropolitan market cookie over this. The cookie is good, but it's so big I expect other fillings in it besides just dough and a huge thing of chocolate on top. It was $45 with taxes and fees. The cookie was another $7 but it is 6 oz so it's hefty and can be easily shared. Parking is difficult in the area. Be prepared to park at the nearby shopping center for a quick pickup. The pizza was delicious when it was given to me and I tried a slice but 30 mins later by the time I got home, the quality continues to degrade. Wait until hype dies down and try it, otherwise, not worth it. Don't get me wrong, it's a good pizza, but is it the BEST? Hell no, not even close. Not to mention all the hoops you have to go through to just order the damn pizza makes it one of the least "worth it" pizza around. For starters, you have to ensure you are available right before noon the day before to jump into the queue for pizza. I tried everyday for two weeks until I figured out a way ensure I was the first few. That alone makes this pizza a nonstarter for me, but hey, I was determined to try the best damn pizza in Seattle. Within those two weeks, I watched the queue jumped from around 100 to 250 coinciding with all the new raving posts from influencers including some guy name Nick, who I'm fairly sure are friends with the owners given his other posts. I was able to get the pepperoni pizza, but I also wanted to try the vodka pizza but the process and massive amount of people does not allow a person to successfully get two pizzas at once. Again, pepperoni was good, but it's no difference than a place like Dantini's pizza who's more conveniently located and I don't have to fight online to get it. When we picked it up, we also got the chocolate chip cookie, which was better than the pizza, but it was also $7 bucks and not as good as the Met. Overall, 4 stars for pizza. This is a new spot that sells 18'' NY style pizzas. Due to the popularity, it's required to pre-order 1 day in advance starting at 12pm. I got to their website exactly at 12pm and was able to place my order before they sold out. Parking wasn't too difficult to find if you drive up S Willow St - there were especially lots of spots as I got closer to 37 Ave S. When I walked in, I was greeted immediately, and everyone was so friendly. My order was ready right on time. I had ordered a plain pizza (milled tomatoes, aged mozz, buffalo mozz, wild oregano, freshly grated parmigiano-reggiano, and Sicilian olive oil). It was absolutely phenomenal. The sauce was so tasty and fresh. The different cheeses added so much flavor. Each slice was sturdy and didn't fall apart when holding it. Crust was okay, but a little too charred for my preference. I also purchased a cookie when I arrived to pick up my pizza. The cookie was wonderful as well. I made the mistake of trying to eat a bite immediately, and it just was a bit too gooey and messy. But after waiting for it to cool down, it was an excellent treat. Lots of chocolate and very sweet. FYI - the cookies cannot be preordered and they have a limited number, so I suggest choosing an early pickup time if you also want to buy a cookie. As someone who's had every major pizza shop in Seattle and ate the best 'za up and down the West Coast and through all of NYC, I truly don't understand the love for this pie. Love for the owner? Understandable. Absolute pizza nerd badass sweetheart for sure. But the pizza? I don't understand. I don't like any component of this pie, from the dough to the sauce to the cheese. I've had the pies here twice now, both when it was an elusive pop-up and now as an elusive brick-and-mortar. Dough has good moisture but is neither a crackery crust or as I prefer, delicately crispy exterior and fluffy moist interior. Dough tastes a bit undersalted and like it could use a drizzle of EVOO or something. The sauce tastes cooked which is a tragedy on pizza that should have only super refreshing uncooked spiced tomato flavor. The cheese tastes a little fancied up (a little more sharpness, funk, sour) and missing the super creamy and refreshing quality of that Jersey-quality full fat low moisture mozz I want on my NY-styles. I feel a bit crazy hating this pizza but hey, taste is subjective and maybe I just need to chalk this one up to preference at the end of the day. I'm glad this great guy is doing well and getting love, even if it's not from me. But will cross my fingers that one day a NY-style pie that floats my boat sails down to Seattle one day. Great pizza, but frankly it's not worth the trouble at this point in time. I was able to get a pizza during their soft opening when they still took walk-in orders. Everything about the pizza is great: great crust (good chew and crunch), great ingredients, great attention to details. But as good as it is, I can wholeheartedly assure you: it is not worth the trouble trying to get one of their pies right now. You are not missing out on the greatest pizza of all time (no such thing exists). It is great pizza, and I think it's my favorite locally (and the value is pretty good considering how big their pies are), but I wouldn't drive that far to pick it up (after all, it won't be fresh anymore, and then what is the point of pizza). Not only that, but the parking situation is really awkward: the day I went, basically everyone was illegally parking for a few minutes just to pick up their orders. It's not the best location, so if you're not somewhat local, it's not worth going out of your way for. If you do live close, wait for the excitement and buzz to die down. Another example of "good things come to those who wait." In this case, after a few weeks of attempts in their ordering system, it was amazing pizza and decadent chocolate chunk cookies. The pizza had a thin, crackery crisp undercarriage with a delicate and nicely chewy crust. It's the kind of pizza, especially when eaten fresh, you can take a perfect bite out of where all of your teeth leave an impression (a la Wile E. Coyote leaving a perfect body cutout as he's being blown through a wall). The tomato-to-cheese ratio is perfect and the pep is the small, nice cuppy kind. To top it all off, the staff/owners all seem like wonderful people, and it's hard not to feel happy for their success. I hope they continue to grow over the years, and there'll be an outpost in walking distance to my house soon :) To optimize the experience, I'd recommend you start eating in the shop or your parked car. This place is deeply annoying to me, mostly because of how wildly overhyped it is. AK Pizza is a fairly new Seattle spot, opened in October 2025 and run by a husband-and-wife team. Cool origin story. The problem is the overly precious supply/demand gimmick they've built around it. Offering takeout only, No delivery. Fine, I can live with that. But what's harder to live with is the extreme scarcity model. WHY? They're open Thursday-Sunday, 4-9 p.m., for preorder pickups only. The menu is ultra-limited: Plain, Vodka, Pepperoni, Potato, Tomato (vegan), and chocolate chip cookies. Thats it. They sell only 60 pizzas/daily and require a preorder 24 hours in advance. Orders both open & sell out daily at noon for the following day, and customers are forced into an online queue that feels like the Hunger Games just to try to buy a pizza. Delay for a meer moment and you'll lose. Ive been trying to order since Christmas and failed day after day because the site sold out almost instantly. During this time, I attempted to contact the business multiple times. The phone goes straight to voicemail and messages were never returned. I also emailed the owner and reached out via social media- again, no response. For a business this difficult to access, the lack of communication is frustrating and, frankly, poor customer service. I ultimately only got to try the pizza because a friend successfully made it through the online ordering gauntlet and we split the cost. And yes the pizza was good. Very good. I ate every bite. But it was not THAT good. Had I not been forced to compete for weeks just to give them my money, I probably wouldnt be this critical. But as someone who rarely even takes their car out, the process was exhausting. Refresh the website daily, finally win the preorder lottery, drive across town, hunt for parking, wait in line, then drive all the way back home. By the time I sat down to eat, the pizza was cold and the crispy crust that everyone raves about had lost much of its magic. 18" Pizzas cost $30-$38. We went for the Pepperoni ($35) + Burrata ($4), Hot Honey ($3), and Chocolate Chip Cookie ($6) for a grand total with tax and tip ~ $60. Worth it? You decide. Again the pizza itself is delicious. No argument there. But its 2026. Why am I competing just to get dinner? This level of artificial scarcity doesnt feel justified. Are we ordering pizza or auditioning for a chefs table? Visiting from Maui and our friends were able to secure two pizzas from this wonderful joint. We had the "Potato" and "Vodka" pizzas. Super nice vibe, the wife greets everyone and preps the orders for pickup and the husband creates the masterpieces. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside with great chew on the inside. Both pizza's ingredients came together great, which really surprised me because I usually only eat pepperoni focused pies (felt too bad to tell my friends). Would definitely visit again and think it's smart to have a business model like this to prevent waste, both time and ingredients. Ordered online 2 days in advance and the pizzas were ready at the scheduled time (sadly I was late due to traffic). It's a bare bones take away set up. Couple chairs for people to wait for orders, but you are taking this food to go. No place to eat at AK and as far as I know, no place nearby to take it to. The space is clean and efficient. Orders will require planning. Unless you are a 5 - 20 min drive, then this place is a once every so often treat. For Eastside residents, AK Pizza is a journey. It took me over an hour in rush hour traffic to get there from the office. I left early and was still late. Another 35-40 min home. For anyone going here for the first time, if you are unfamiliar with the neighborhood, be aware that there is street parking on side streets only. Lots of parking that looks usable is actually associated with various apartment buildings nearby. I could not find a legal spot nearby and had to quickly park in a private lot and risk ticketing or towing. I might suggest picking up with a friend so one person can run in and the other can circle for pick-up just in case parking is not available. Quite a journey for pizza. I'm happy I got to try their food and don't regret it, but I'll have to plan for off hour pick-ups to minimize travel time, improve chance of parking, or make the journey with a partner in pizza. Put in an order for three pizzas for a friends baby event. Ordered one cheese one pep and one vodka pizza. Also had a couple of the cookies to try. I'm not a big pizza person if I'm being honest. All my friends would confirm that I am very picky about pizza and actually think most pizzas are all pretty crappy. That said, AK pizzas are fucking amazing! For how big they are, it's not a floppy mess of a slice. The dough is crispy and has a great chew and crisp texture. The sauce is flavorful and has a great balance to it! Idk how to describe it but when I eat this pizza I don't feel like it's filled with artificial preservatives and nasty stuff like I feel with alot of other pizzas. best pizza i've had outside of the tri state area. does not flop whatsoever, beautiful char and crunch, amazing toppings, and incredibly punctual for reservations. and holy s---, the cookie. trust me, get all the cookies you can. extremely friendly staff, and a few seats to have some slices while they're as fresh as possible. i know its hard to book a reservation, but do it as soon as you can, it's worth every penny read more

I never use yelp because it's filled with corny opinions from salty people. AK Pizza opened, and in record time they were in the discussion for best pizza in Seattle. I tried an old seasonal, the Corn Pie. I usually am not into a veggie pizza, I'd usually opt for cheese in that case. This however was perfectly executed. The corn was still toothy, not over cooked.
