Found this place thanks to Yelp! It's only a few mins from SFO and it's open late. Perfect combo if you ever have a late flight in or if you're picking up folks coming in on a late flight. I've been meaning to try this place out after reading numerous raving reviews. This place has such a unique and cool vibe! The owners were very attentive to us, and the drinks (not pictured) were very tasty. I had the pomegranate margarita and it was delicious. Made perfectly. I was most excited to try the food since that's what everyone raves about the most. My friend ordered the Mongolian chicken which was delicious. I ordered the salt and pepper prawns which are usually my go to at any Asian restaurant. I was disappointed in my prawns. They were not peeled whatsoever and you couldn't eat the skin even though it was fried without choking a little. I ended up taking the outer layer off myself but that just left me with greasy fingers and not a lot of flavor left on the prawns. Most amazing cook/owner ever and super hard-working. One of the few places in San Bruno South San Francisco area you can grab quality food if you order by 12:30 a.m. I will never get tired of their food. I came in around 11pm for a late dinner after a flight as it was one of the only places open around SFO. It is pretty much a bar that also serves real food at night, which is hard to come across these days. The ambiance and menu seems confusing at first since there is an overwhelming amount of variety in asian cuisines but the owner helped break it down for us. We ended up chatting with her and found out that the chef specializes in Thai and Malaysian food. We got a Malaysian vegetable dish (I forgot the name) and the curry noodle soup. Food was surprisingly authentic considering the menu is so large I'm not sure how they would regulate everything. It was fun chatting with the owner and the food was good. Definitely a great late night meal option in the area! I had the Spicy Beef Soup and House Potstickers, both were delicious. The Spicy Beef Soup was light and flavorful and the beef was tender. I think the noodles were house made too. I was surprised to walk in and see a full bar. It kinda gives sports bar meets Asian restaurant, which is something I didn't know I loved. Friends and I shared the Bruxelles mussels with fries and (dry fried) garlic string beans (gan bian si ji doh). I'm giving this place a 5 because it fit the exact bill we were looking for which was a place close by open LATE serving Asian food with good service and tasty food, and they didn't disappoint. We got here at about 9pm on a Friday night. The bar was more than half full and there was one table eating. We sat down and the server came by pretty quickly with menus and asked what we wanted to drink. She came back with drinks and took our food order without writing it down. We had Belacan Eggplant with Shrimp, Salt and Pepper Fish, and Pad See Ew. The portions are about right. We really liked the eggplant dish which had big pieces of eggplant. My son ate all the shrimp and he really liked the Chicken Pad See Ew. Both were a little sweet but not too much. They didn't skimp on the chicken pieces. My husband liked the Thai Chili Peppers that it came with on the side. The fried fish had good flavor but was slightly over cooked. My husband didn't care for the heavy batter. Other dishes like the Laos Papaya Salad and a cooked crab that came out at other tables looked great. In fact, all our dishes had great presentation and looked appealing. We'll be back to try other dishes. Another plus is they have a full bar! Asian food plus alcohol. Woo hoo. Their menu had a lot of typos which I found endearing.
