We stopped by A Pie Stop earlier this year and it was such a good experience. We picked up a chocolate silk pie and I'm not exaggerating when I say we devoured it in two days, it was that good. Super rich, smooth, and just one of those desserts you keep going back for "one more bite" until it's suddenly gone. It's a family-run spot, which you can really feel when you're there. The service was friendly and welcoming, and it just has that local business charm that makes you want to support it. They've got seating inside if you want to stay, plus a drive-thru which is honestly so convenient when you just need to grab dessert and go. A simply amazing place with delectable pies. I was greeted the second I walked in by a worker who asked if it was our first time there. He informed us that, unfortunately, they no longer served individual pieces of pie, but offered descriptions of the small and large pies currently in the cabinets. We ended up going with a small strawberry rhubarb pie. While the worker did say that the small pies were approximately two slices, I cut it into quarters, and a single piece was enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. While I was not a fan of the exterior crust by itself, the interior of the strawberry rhubarb pie and dough was simply delectable and felt like butter melting in your mouth. If you're in the area, you definitely need to stop by and try a small pie at least. read more

Go here! The carrot cake was so good! Frosting wasn't overly sweet, it was packed with carrots, nuts, and raisins. Many other carrot cakes I've eaten have had more cake than anything else. The pies here are delicious and fresh. I've had the mixed berry and the blueberry peach crumb. The first one was warm when I bought it. The second one needed re-heating (350 for 10 minutes), but tasted great. The service is friendly. The prices are pretty reasonable. $27 for a big pie. $11 for the smaller ones. The options are pretty solid. They usually have at least 5 different flavors. I'm only at 4 stars because of the 3% surcharge for credit cards. Not okay in the year 2023 when hardly anybody uses cash anymore. Just charge me more for the pie and build this fee into your sale price. read more

Hubs ordered 2 Cornish pasties "to go" to eat on the plane - and GAH! ...when we looked at and opened they were uncooked, with heating directions on top of box...by the time these babies were near a fridge - it was too late and they were unsafe to eat. Love these pies. Came in and got a Key Lime pie and Pecan pie for a special dinner and they knocked our socks off. I came in and thought there was quite a bit of good offerings at noon. I will come in sometime for the chicken pot pie since it's one of my favorite comfort foods. If I'm feeling a bit English I might even order a Cornish Pasty. Well this place is freaking incredible! Didn't know what to expect and was blown away by what they offered. They offer full size pies and then a smaller version which i think you're supposed to share - I didn't. I went with the pecan and was beyond impressed. Cooked perfectly, lots of filling, and a very nice crust. Yea - ice cream would have been nice but then it hides the delicious, robust, rich flavor of the pie. I thought I would eat just half and save the other half for the next night but by 8 pm I was in a full sugar coma with pecan pies crumbs on my shirt and chin. Eat here often. Oh how I miss these small businesses. I had been on hiatus for so long and my first trip out for a treat was A Pie Stop. I've always wondered what it would be like to go through a drive through to buy a whole pie. This little establishment is located right behind the diner in the intersection. The store front looks tiny, but it's actually spacious. They host a number of different pies. Fruit pies, cream pies and savory pies. There are also other baked goods and sweets. Lining the walls of the shop are an array of Amish jams, butters, and various pickles. Today we bought a mini Dutch Apple pie and a piece of banana nut bread. Right off the bat you could tell the bread was soft and moist. Unfortunately we spotted some mold on it so we tossed it and didn't get a chance to try it. The pie however, was gorgeous! My husband said based on the pie alone it was a solid three stars. I made the mistake of leaving my husband and son to their own devices for a few hours and missed out on trying it. They pretty much inhaled it. I do plan on visiting again to try other flavors. I'm just not in a rush to go back. It was fairly expensive. It costs me less time and effort to whip up a batch of banana bread at home than to buy it here. One little piece was 5$. The mini pie was 11$. Small business though. I could buy two regular size pies from Fred Meyer for that price. If I didn't love local business I would have. Steve behind the counter apologized for being sold out, I told him I think is awesome, never been here before and a tell tale sign it's gonna be good is SOLD OUT! I have been to A Pie Stop on several occasions. In my opinion: Best key lime pie in town! Cheesecake is delicious! They sell slices of certain pies, and you can order most pies sugar-free. With that said, do not expect good customer service from the owner. He is monotone, does not smile or greet you, stares at you blankly when you ask him a question, and seemingly could care less about your business. He spoke the bare minimum, so I had to ask various questions to get an idea of something he could have covered in one sentence no problem. If you are looking for an amazing pie for a special event, call A Pie Stop. You will be happy. I've shopped at the pie stop several times. My visit last week was the last time I will ever go to that establishment. The owner was the rudest person in business I've met. I told him I wanted one of the pies out of the display case he opened the display case to get the pie While he was getting the pie, I changed my mind for a different type of pie. He told me the time to decide what I wanted was before he opened the case. He hadn't done anything with the pie. I told him I changed my mind and he started mumbling, yada yada yada. A friend of mine recommended this place and it's the most delicious pie I've ever tried (the key lime) and the owner was very respectful and such a kind older gentleman. YES! So hard to find anyone who makes or sells pasties, but this place is legit. I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to this amazing delicacy and this isn't quite as good as Grandma's old family recipe, but pie stop's pasty is the BEST I've ever been able to find short of grandmas. Ok wow, these deserts are outstanding, and the staff is accommodating and so very kind. The pies are unique in flavor and pack a meaningful punch in taste. YUM! The other pastry's aren't as much of a wow factor but holy cow! Grab yourself a little pie on a late night out and walk the street eating that thing with prowess. I consider myself a connoisseur when it cmes to savoury pies, as I'm English, and we love our savoury pies. That which Americans call pot pies, in fact. And as an english girl living in America, i really miss my savoury pies and pasties. I'd been here once before but the savoury pies and pasties were all gone - always a good sign! But we swung by today, (right after going to the gym lol) and got a roast beef pot pie, and a pasty, and took them home to have for dinner. I didn't mind the 14.00 price tag, because i believe in supporting small local businesses. They were still a little warm, however we put them in the oven to gently heat them through, and keep the integrity of the pastry nice and crumbly,mwhich microwaving would fail to do. And i must say, i was in literal pie heaven. HUGE servings, so the 14.00 for both, was a very reasonable cost. The flavour - very authentically English to my palate anyhow. The meat in the pot pie was tender and flavoursome - not fatty or gristly, as that would have been a deal breaker for me. The vegetables, oh m goodness, so fresh and delicious, and in a tasty gravy. And the pasty - I seriously felt like i was home in England, eating an authentic Cornish Pasty. The flavour, pastry, filling, and style of the crust were EXACTLY right, and i have eaten mountains of the things back at home. I know how a Cornish Pasty is meant to taste, and this is it. I am making myself want another one right now, it was that good. And as I said, they are huge, you could easily split one and have it with a side, and not feel like you missed out. All of the other sweet pies looked mighty tempting as well, but i am not a real sweet tooth person, i'd eat it, i'd enjoy it, but i don't feel i'd be the best judge of a sweet pie, whereas, I am a savoury pie afficionado. Been contemplating with writing a review for this place since it was just one time that I've been here. But 1st impressions are important so...I came in back in March 14th (Pie Day). The store is really cute and I have to say, nice decor. The cashier seemed really nice too. Two stars is due to the owner's behavior. When I came in, there was a lady getting her pie packaged and she seemed to be claiming a free pie voucher she won from a radio station. Just as she was about to walk out, an older gentleman folding pie boxes behind the counter looked at the ticket and said he cannot give her the pie because the voucher is no good. Something about the date of issue. The lady said she won it but the gentlemen yelled at her and told her to leave because he was not having it! The lady left shaking her head and I felt quite awkward after witnessing what just happened. I felt bad for the lady because she should not have been treated that way whatsoever. The owner was so grumpy and rude. Now about their pies, I ordered the small key lime and the chocolate cream pie. We liked both, but for the price...way too steep. It's not even a full sized pie, but rather, a mini one. When I initially asked if I could purchase just a slice, they said I can only do a 1/2 if the mini pie and not a slice from the full pie.
