COMMUNICATION FROM SHOP On Thursday morning I got a call and we discussed how I wanted the problem with my lack of air conditioning remedied, i.e., replace all leaking components or just get it working and add freon as needed in the future. I took the least costly. On Thursday afternoon I got a call that the car was ready and work was completed. DELIVERY OF CAR On Friday morning I arrived and paid for the work which was very reasonable and again got good service from the young lady at the service window. PRIOR BAD REVIEWS Before coming in for service I read the yelp reviews where the majority of customers were very pleased. I then saw a review from a former employee who wanted her W-2s. That is not a yelp issue. Another was from someone who did not want to have work done for the quoted price and had it done much cheaper on the air conditioner. As in my case I was given a quote to get it running and to replace all leaking components. For the price the yelper paid all that was done by the other shop was what I had done here for less money.

They destroyed the engine, then charged us 4k for a new one, and then the new one seized within 100 miles of driving. They then promised to "make it right" while our car sat there for months. They never did. They still owe us at least $609 (while we should have sued them for $6-8k, and still might, we got all of $700 for scrap metal for that car) and they've ignored numerous requests for payment that they'd promised me many months ago. I brought it back, twice! They were not able to identify the problem, they fixed nothing, and I later found out there were missing bolts and other issues they caused with their "tweaks". They charged me each time I took the car to them, I paid over 2k and nothing was fixed. I finally took the car to an "alley mechanic" who was able to identify the problem and fix it, for less than half the money I paid this shop. Let me know if anyone wants his information, he did what this shop couldn't! I don't know about cars, I have to rely on experts to identify the issue and fix my car. I feel I was taken advantage of and ripped off. These people are not experts and are con-artists ripping off customers that aren't mechanics themselves. Do not trust them!
