I love the aesthetics here! such a cute little boba spot hangout. Perfect place to get together with friends. The drinks all look so unique. I ordered the paramount and sinking rose. Both were great! I love the matcha tea in the sinking rose. The Paramount was not too sweet from the brulee but a perfect pair of tea and sweet. The service was quick and friendly. BEST BOBA IVE HAD IN SAN DIEGO. Their boba is sooo freaking good. It s the perfect consistency & flavor and their teas are all sooo good. I always get the Jasmine Green Milk Tea, which is my go to at most tea shops and it's delicious. I haven't tried their fruit teas but they all sound amazing as well. A lot of people said it takes awhile but I disagree? I've never waited longer than 5 min and have even placed an online order and they had the tea ready then just added the ice and boba once I arrived. Highly recommend! read more

I got the Taro King and it's delicioussss. I usually don't get Taro since it tends to taste powdery but this one is actually really good. I would adjust the sweetness if you don't like sweet that much. They also can substitute non dairy milk option so huge plus for you lactose intolerant folks. They have Baird games too so a great hang out spot for group setting. Last but not least, ust wanna give a shoutout to the staff! 11/10 customer service. Super friendly, efficient, and they played bomb azz throwback music. Would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area! read more

Some of the best freshest boba I have ever had. Very soft and chewy and sweet. Very cute spot it was my first time here and I think I'll be back again. Wish it was a bit bigger and had more seats and charging spots for my laptop but other than that it was a good experience. Tea was not good. Ended up throwing it out..not sure what they think Thai tea is but what they made wasn't it. Lots of rowdy middle school/high schoolers around made it uncomfortable to be inside. Waste of gas to get there and $10 down the drain. Avoid. read more

We got the taro king with ube and taro chunks, passion fruit with grapefruit, and milk tea. Liked how innovative the drinks were. The taste was pretty decent but I wouldn't say it's very tasty. I do like that there were real taros and fresh milk. The drinks did spill unfortunately even thought it was supposed to be completely closed. Would be great if it can hold up without spilling before it is opened. Staff was nice and the place is cute. read more

After my very first visit, I came there very often for the lotus milk tea. But my drinks there during last 2-3 trips were not as what I expected as my usual time. My drinks (lotus milk tea) were super bitter. (The color was darker than usual). I'm a heavy tea drinker so I drank lots of tea which enough for me to get use to their bitter taste. But I could not finish my drinks last couple trips. I ordered the drinks usually around 6:00pm, I don't know if they were getting ready to close so they didn't cook any new tea. Because, all the drinks that I got making me feel that I was drinking all the left over of their tea at that moment. I would be happy if they told me that they ran out of lotus milk tea rather than gave me the left over of that which made the drinks were horrible. Or they over cooked their tea, because all I got every time was super bitter and did not taste like lostus milk tea. So disappointed! read more

Second time coming here and we wanted to try new drinks. We got the Cheese Foam Brown Sugar Boba Fresh Milk and Taro King with Brown Sugar Boba. However, when I ordered the Cheese Foam drink I didn't want the boba and thought there would still be brown sugar, but it was just milk and cheese foam. I asked them to put brown sugar on the top and they did, but Aaron was kind enough to remake another drink with the brown sugar drizzle and give us both drinks! Parking can be a pain, you'll find one but it's tight. Usually the line isn't too bad, depending on what boba you select it can be a wait. I love the atmosphere, very open and they have board games. The establishment is very clean and bright, they always have some themed decorations going on and the customer service is good. Prices are average but I do love the unique drinks they provide. read more

Great late night boba place! Stopped here to get boba fix and was pleased they were on par with what I expected. We got the tropical paradise and the peach please and I have to say the peach please was a lot better. Their tea ratio is just right where you definitely get the tea, but the sweetness meets right where it's supposed to without watering down the drink. read more

This is seriously one of the best boba spots in San Diego! I've been to every boba spot in San Diego and this one is my favorite. I come here almost weekly for my boba fix. Great flavors, great topping options, and they even have a couple of fresh fruit teas, like the grapefruit one that's so good. You can also adjust sugar and ice levels. Not to mention, their drinks are way more affordable than other boba spots. They also decorate the place for every season/holiday, super cute. They also have free board games you can play and I also see a lot of students studying here. Do not sleep on this place...you will not be disappointed. read more

I'm so glad this place opened up and I'll definitely be frequenting this spot! I got "The Paramount" which is a Creme brûlée lotus milk tea with brown sugar boba and they torch the top of the drink!! The boba itself is soooo delicious and the perfect chewing consistency. The base of most of their milk tea drinks are made with nondairy creamer and condensed milk! Definitely excited to try most of their menu and to get some work done in their cute cafe. read more

I walk in and my first thought, "this place is packed"! I stood in a sea of customers and was memorized at the menu. I was a bit overwhelmed, I honestly couldn't decide. This place has the largest selection of boba I have ever seen. Their combinations and selections, again, all new to me. The look on my face must of said it all. The tea master recognized my daze and confusion and immediately came to my aid. He listened to my craving and made an excellent recommendation. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I love teas with little sugar. My matcha with oat milk and regular boba was exactly what I wanted, perfect balance, and my craving was finally satisfied! A packed store is a good sign but an attentive staff is even better. The line is long but service is quick. The location is a little tucked away and you may drive passed it, but don't give up. Definitely worth finding. I will be back. read more

Came here with my girlfriend, I got 8. Bijou, no sugar, and it was good. I have no complaints, it was sour but if you did add the sugar, it would be better. My girlfriend got the jasmine green tea cheese cream. She got 25% sugar iirc, and she said it needed more. We got the same drink at 85 degree and it was definitely better because it had more sugar. I would definitely come back to try different drinks, our customizations just didn't work out for the best 5/5 would come again, but my review doesn't matter read more

Needed some late night boba so I stopped here. There's an entrance on the street side and backside where there's ample parking. Odered Tropical Paradise and Peach Please. Personally preferred the peach drink over the other, but both we're still refreshing and boba was well done! Stop by and support this small business! read more

I was on the hunt for a regular boba spot in my area and since I first tried this place almost a year ago, I've been coming here almost every weekend since. I'm a simple boba gal - I just need a solid, no-frills milk tea with soft but still slightly chewy boba and this place delivers with consistency every single time. The milk teas are middle-of-the-road for strength in tea flavor and perfectly creamy in a not-too-heavy, still-light-and-refreshing way. Drinks do tend to be pretty sweet depending on the type of drink you get, so I like to do 75% for normal milk teas with regular boba (like thai milk tea or wintermelon green milk tea which is my standard drink to keep my caffeine intake low - this tends to be on the almost-too-sweet side for me but 50% is too low IMO), then 50% for milk teas with a sweeter base (like brown sugar milk tea). I don't get the specialty drinks at all but I'd do 25% since they have a lot of sweet add ins/syrups! My only complaint is that they don't give enough boba. If they gave 1/3 to 1/2 more than what they currently do, it'd be on par with other boba shops. I always order a large and I end up finishing my boba when I have half or 1/3 of my drink left. If I'm feeling extra bougie, I'll ask for double boba but I don't do that too often (in this economy lol?!). read more

Great customer service, they are always welcoming! The worker who I believe is the owner is always friendly to me and accommodates my drink orders. Everytime I've been here the service is amazing and the drinks are delicious! Staff is always super helpful with answering any questions I have about the drink. The best boba spot in the college area, (way better than happytime tea and the sdsu sharetea in my opinion). The brown sugar boba is sweet and the texture is great, not too chewy not too mushy. The drinks are fragrant, and I personally like their milk teas more than the fruit teas. Milk tea is made with non-dairy creamer so it's perfect for someone who is lactose like me!!! Everything is super clean and and it's a fun space to play board games or even study(free wifi!!!). My favorite thing is also their bag to put the boba in because it fits perfectly in my car LOL. No complaints at all, I can't wait to come back to try more drinks. This is my new go to boba shop, and I will continue to come back. read more

Must try. New spot. This boba shop is conveniently located close to home. I pass it on the way home from work daily so I don't have to go out of my way to convoy anymore. If you don't come in the morning early expect to wait in line. Service is friendly. The shop is rather large with lots of seats and large windows. Large mural on the wall outside advertising there name. I will be back next time in SD

We ended up ordering a variety of things to try for our family of four: the table side Caesar salad, the Steak Sampler, a Filet, Lobster, Mashed Potatoes, Mac and Cheese, and Truffle Fries - we loved it all! Perfectly cooked and everything we wanted it to be! We were so full, but after viewing the dessert cart all night, we had to try some! The most decadent, delicious, chocolate, layered cake was our pick. As we were waiting tho, we saw the table side banana foster dessert being made and had to order that too! No regrets!! It was all perfect!! They also kindly brought us out a really good peanut butter and jelly macron, but the star was that it was topped with a gold dusted Wu Tang emblem on top - LOVE!! We only had to wait 30 minutes to be seated which was a lot better than 2 hours. Little did we know, it would take a whole hour for us to get our food. We honestly could've waited the 2 hours for Morning Glory and gotten our food at the same time if not earlier. The restaurant wasn't packed with customers but they were definitely short staffed or something because there were two couples sitting next to us who were also waiting for their food. One couple was ready to leave when their food came out at that exact moment. The servers did apologize and told us that they were having issues with the kitchen. They also offered us all free orange juice. However, if they knew they were having issues with the kitchen then they should've told us earlier before we got seated so people could go elsewhere rather than waiting an hour for their food. Overall, service here was very poor. In terms of food, it was unfortunately pretty good but not worth the wait. I really liked the simple toast with matcha cream on top as well as the curry hamburg. My friend ordered the shakshuka (not pictured because it came last and everyone just wanted to eat at that point) which was also pretty good. For the avocado toast, the toast was too hard so I wouldn't recommend it. We also ordered a yuzu and matcha yuzu mimosa. Both tasted like yuzu. The matcha yuzu one was basically a green yuzu mimosa. They have a vero water purification system so their water was really good lol.

Love this new boba place. The atmosphere is perfect to hang out and meet up. Beautifully decorated to take plenty of cute pictures. I love their signature # 1 and # 12, my husband loves the Taro King. We will be coming back, their tea is authentic and I can truly tasted the smell of the tea. Highly recommend ATEA7 to anyone. read more
