Unreliable - No show for service call. I scheduled a service call for A1 to come look at my oven and dryer. They offered a service window of 2:00-4:00 p.m. promising a text message about 30 minutes before they would arrive. When they still hadn't been in touch at 3:50 p.m., I gave them a call. Unfortunately I reached a full voicemail box and have been unable to get a response otherwise. read more

The tech, Jordan, returned my call quickly and came out soon after. He said he fixed what he said was the problem, after I found him a match to light his torch. He charged handsomely, with a slight discount for paying cash, and proffered a two years warranty. Within two weeks the fridge failed again. I called to schedule his return, and eventually got a text saying his brother had died and his girlfriend had Covid, but he would get to me as soon as he could. Despite several more entreaties, I haven't heard from him again. The experience left me reminded of a heroin addict I once worked with. One star is only by design. I give Jordan minus five stars. read more

Nope. Never again. I ended up having to buy a new refrigerator, even after they tried twice to fix it and gave me a 2-year guarantee and charged me $495 with no itemized invoice or explanation of what they did. One thing I do know is they severed one of the lines in the back with their blowtorch and almost set my kitchen on fire. The house was filled with noxious fumes. I called Tommy @ A1 to repair my relic Sub Zero from the 1980's. These guys are super knowledgeable and practice a dying craft of actually repairing things. It wasn't cheap but it was much better than replacing the refrigerator. I am writing a review because he needed to come back out for a tune up for his repair and he is doing it without charge. Tommy came over to look at my Sub Zero which had been turning itself off intermittently. He spent 30 mins triaging the issue and when there was nothing obviously wrong he ultimately recommended that we contact the authorized repair agent since it was so new and both parts and labor were still under warranty. He did not charge for this at all. He gave me a lot of tips on what it might be so that I can have a good conversation with the authorized repair agent. Tommy and/or his son Jordan have repaired our appliances for years. They've had to work on Sub-Zero and Jenn-Air refrigerators, Kitchenaid and Bosch dishwashers and a GE oven. We've had the same good result every time. They know what they are doing, they keep their promises, they are honest, and last but not least, they do not overcharge. If anything, they could reasonably charge more, when you consider how much time they have sit in Seattle traffic on their way to or from your house. On top of all this, father and son are both quite personable. We enjoy interacting with them. read more

*** WARNING *** Do NOT hire these people! We hired them because our LG oven was not working properly. After 4 different parts were ordered and 3 parts installed (one of the parts they ordered didn't actually fit our oven), they still FAILED to fix the problem! There was no troubleshooting or diagnostic evaluation of the oven, Tom just began ordering and installing electronic parts, hoping they would fix the problem. At one point, he offered us a money back "guarantee" that a certain part would fix it (it did NOT - nor did we get our money back). We constantly had to contact him for status of any parts order and TWICE he claimed that "phone problems" prevented him from getting back to us! Tom was not only unprofessional and incompetent, but downright vulgar and rude when we questioned him (after almost 5 months) about the situation. We finally contacted someone else within A1 Accomplished Repair to express our disappointment and frustration, but they were as unresponsive and unprofessional as he was, blaming the problem on LG. Bottom line: After 5 months and over $400, we fixed the oven ourselves by replacing a $55 non-electronic part that Tom failed to identify as the problem in the first place. If you want A1 quality work, DON'T contact them. If you want anything Accomplished, DON'T use them. And if you want your LG Appliance Repaired, DON'T hire these guys! read more

Great service!! My husband had called 2 other places for fridge repair before calling A1. The first 2 places told him we would have to wait 3-4 days for someone to come out. This wasn't going to work for me not having a fridge for that long! Luckily, his next call was to these guys who were out in less than 3 hours after calling and had our refrigerator working again that day. Very professional, respectful and knowledgeable. We will definitely use them again, and call them first, next time we need anything repaired in the house. read more

Jordan (co-owner) was very punctual and professional. Initially he diagnosed the problem as a part that needed to be replaced and only came as one large unit. He estimated that the part and labor would be $300-$350. He was very knowledgeable about dishwashers and said it would be worth the investment for the dishwasher I have, even though it's probably 25 years old, because new dishwashers are all electronic and if a problem occurs with those you're looking at a much higher repair cost. (Kind of makes me wonder if I really should remodel and get all new appliances next year.) I had resigned myself to the $300+ repair cost and asked if they could do the work by the following week. Then he said, 'let me check one more thing' and proceeded to pull a kink out of the drain hose, clamp it into place, and voila(!), the dishwasher drained! So instead of $300+ I paid him $97 and he even gave me a 2-year warranty on it! Anyone who will put a 2-year warranty on a 25-year old dishwasher is pretty amazing in my book. Another thing I'd say, is don't judge a book by its cover. Jordan looks about 19 (and is actually only 25) but he knows his stuff! read more

My grandparents had both their refrigerator and washing machine break at the same time and needed assistance quickly! The technician from A1 was prompt, worked quickly, and absolutely exceeded expectation! Jordan was able to fix a washing machine that was manufactured before he was born - so I would say that's an impressive feat of knowledge. We will absolutely be return clients! read more

I hired Tommy to check out my 5 year old Amana refrigerator. The store I bought it from had come out & within 5 mins told me it was the compressor, would cost too much to fix & I should buy a new refrigerator instead. After reading Yelp reviews, I phoned Tommy at A-1 Accomplished. He was so knowledgeable, respectful and allowed my dogs to shamelessly climb all over him while in my home. He quickly replaced the compressor & I'm thrilled to keep my still relatively new fridge. I came to believe that repair persons who work for stores want you to buy a new refrigerator & have no interest in repairing & don't care about contributing to land fill. read more

I had a problem with my subzero refrigerator/freezer. I called several repair stores. The owner of A1 Accomplished spent 10 minutes explaining how I could diagnose and perhaps fix the problem on my own. I was very grateful. But, as it turned out,, I needed new parts and and a new seal. They charged much less than the "authorized" subzero dealer quoted me. My wife liked him a lot- very professional and explained everything he was doing. Previous review was an obvious miscommunication. I plan on calling him again right now to fix my dishwasher (beware of Bosch). read more

Tommy knows his stuff. He and his son figured out the problem with my Sub Zero in no time. The repair was fast and reasonably priced.

Tommy has replaced my compressor twice. In July 2013. I'd give him 5 stars on that. No problems. Quick service. In July 2018: I'll give him 1 star for this experience. The compressor emits the normal low frequency noises which are fine. But it also emits a high frequency noise that can be heard throughout most of my condo, that is extremely annoying. I've been given many reasons from Tommy that the noise is normal, or the noise will subside once the outside temperatures cool down and the fridge doesn't work as hard. Neither has been true. Tommy suggested I call another fridge repair if I wasn't satisfied. (I have a 2 year warranty but Tommy feels nothing is wrong and therefore no need for him to do further work). Sears came out and said there were things wrong with the compressor and I should call Tommy back. I called Tommy back and relayed the specific data Sears gave me. Tommy said Sears didn't know what the heck they were talking about, and again said the noise is normal. Tommy raised his voice and interrupted me. Very non professional. I'm now stuck with a fridge that makes a very annoying high frequency noise. Proceed with caution!!!! read more

What we thought was a dead refrigerator turned out to be just a dead fan that was very quickly replaced thanks to the very prompt response by Tommy and son! What would have turned into a massive headache waiting days for a repair person by any other company ( I called 5!) turned into a 30 minute, same day repair. I was given a time frame of 12:00 -2:00 for arrival and heard the doorbell ring at 12:01. They could not have been more polite, and they were super friendly with my dogs, too. A bonus in my book. I was trying to ask for information on how they conduct their services, and clarification on certain things he pointed out but he told me he couldn't understand me (because I was in the car), and after I asked him to hold on for a second so that I could find a better area and minimize the background noise, he asked me if I could call back in half an hour and I said I couldn't, so he just said bye! read more

American Home Shield referred me to a repair company in Marysville and they determined I needed a new compressor on my 30year old Sub Zero fridge. Then the bad news: they wouldn't be able to get parts and come back to do the repair for two more weeks! That's when I insisted AHS find me another option. A1 Accomplished was there in 48 hours and got the work done in about an hour -amazing! Plus, these guys stuck around and gave me tips on how to keep my fridge working well into the future. I was amazed at how fast they worked and how friendly and helpful they were. After thinking my Sub Zero was a goner a week about its now as good as new! These folks have repaired my 15 yo sub zero twice. The first time was an emergency request because the compressor was slowly dying. Was able to have it repaired within hours of discovering the problem. The second time was to install new caskets and paint the edges of the glass that forms the bottom of the refrig. Again, Jordon was able to work quickly to install all parts and paint the glass edge. Very professional and makes my sub zero function like new. Many thanks Guys. read more

Last week they came out to look at my Northland refrigerator. He gave me a quote to repair it $1300 it needs a evaporator coil replaced. In the meantime he did charge it for $300 and said it could last for 2 months or 2 years he could not tell. Here I am less than a week later and it's not working again. I called to set up an appointment to see what they could do and when they could come out. But before I set a time I simply asked him several questions to which he was combative and just continued to say they did not repair it and they couldn't tell me how long the charge would last. On and on with excuses when I was just asking simple questions. He's apparently been in the service industry for 41years...with the way he treated me I'm not sure how! He raised his voice several times. I continued to tell him I wanted them to come out and repair it but wanted to know why they couldn't tell me the charge would only last a few days. $300 for a few days is a bit ridiculous to me! By the end of the conversation he said and I quote I don't want your business. Oh I should mention that Tommy the young man that came out to repair made some very inappropriate comments to me and my friends about getting naked at the Solstice Parade. VERY unprofessional! I would never call this service company again. He claims he's the only person in all of Seattle that will work on Northland appliances. If so, I guess I'm out of luck but I'd rather purchase a new refrigerator than deal with this man. Call someone else. read more

Called Tommy back in Oct to fix my relic SubZero fridge from the 80s. He suggested a few things and we scheduled a time that week. He was running late and called ahead to inform. Took 10 minutes to run diagnosis and told me there was a lurking bigger problem but repairable - replace the heating coil as the fridge was leaking gas. Charged me $550 for 1.5hr job which seemed pretty expensive. Nevertheless, the fridge works fine. Recently, again the nut in the freezer section popped out and ice started to build up in the freezer box. Called him and they came out. Fixed the washer issue, explained it well and charged me $20. All in all, Tommy and Jordan (son) know these units well and very knowledgable. Will call him again for repair services. read more

The worst experience I have ever had. A-1 has been out three times and my refrigerator still fails to cool. Initially, Tommy said his warranty was for two years and to call if the cooling problem returned. It did, two more times, within a few weeks of each of his repairs. It is now a few weeks after his last repair and the cooling problem has returned again. Tommy refuses to return to fix it as he claims the 2 year warranty he boasted about does not now apply. NOW his warranty means he warranties his work, NOT that his work will repair the problem. Even under this new warranty, I'm not sure how he knows the cooling issue isn't related to his failed repair as he refuses to come out and look at it again. He also refused to refund his repair bill. In his last visit they left a 14" deep scratch in my wood flooring along with several dents from the feet of the fridge and refused to take responsibility. They did not realign the refrigerator with the freezer claiming it was not part of their bid. It was in perfect alignment before they moved it. They left debris and did not return the shelving and drawers, After promising to do so, they failed to honor a credit for the initial service call, claiming that he only credits the service call if he returns as the initial company's "subcontractor" (FYI. I called the company, Appliance Specialists, and they claimed he has never been sent as a subcontractor, only as a referral). He quoted the repair cost at $550.00 to Appliance Specialists, and then announced the estimate was for $575.00 to me after the first repair. Tommy and his son used profane language, argued vigorously with each other in front of me and my family. A search under the business name A-1 Accomplished and Tommy's full name the Department of Labor and Industries did not reveal any licensing or insurance information. With tax my bill came to $625.60 not including the initial $71.11 evaluation he required by Appliance Specialists to confirm that this was indeed a closed system issue. Finally, at his last visit he showed up a day early and denied it was his scheduling error. Funny, he had another client calling asking why he failed to show up at her appointment.... read more

I had a compressor fail on my 15 year old sub zero. Tommy and son came out on a Sunday to diagnose the work (no extra charge) and came back a few days later to do the repair work ( wasn't in a hurry). Due to the unique nature of the original failure, Tommy warned that excess water in the system could cause the new compressor to fail. It did. He promptly came back and replaced it at no cost to us. And he had to come a third time because the water filter filled up and needed to be replaced (again he cautioned us this may happen). Again, no cost. I really appreciate that he completely knew his stuff, was up front and honest about the repairs. These guys will work hard to fix something, rather than scrap the whole unit, saving us many thousands. And we have a 2 year warranty, which I know he will honor if need be. These guys were at my house to do the repair on sunday before Appliance Service Station even returned my call on Monday morning. Highly recommended. Will call them first next time. read more

If I could give a zero I would cause no work even happened. I had my contractor send him the info(Serial number and model number) before he showed up Sat. He showed up Saturday just to get the numbers that were already given to him. Then he set a time for Monday to come fix it. Monday came and by the end of the day I called him, TOM, to see when he was coming. He said Tuesday.....sometime. He calls me on Tuesday to come over and I say it's fine at the current time cuz my contractor is there to fix the kitchen floor another person messed up. Tom said he wasn't going to do it anymore because he didn't want to mess the floor up. I explained to him that the floors were already messed up and that's why I need the work done today cause the contractor is replacing the floor tonight. He basically hung up on me. Completely unprofessional and rude. Not one to really complain about things but this is about as bad as it gets. read more
