I was able to make an installation appointment on-line at the same time I ordered the tires. They have convenient Saturday appointments. The tires were installed efficiently and properly. Worst customer service I've experienced in a very long time. They argued with me for 30+ minutes over a $20 charge that was completely unwarranted. I called three other businesses and verified that they were absolutely incorrect in their assessment. Not only do they lack knowledge and competence, they are unethical. They also told me I needed a new air filter, which unbeknownst to them had just been replaced by my dealer. When I told them that, they quickly backed off and said "it's just a recommendation". Completely dishonest group of people. I dealt with three of their employees and it's clear that their mission is to screw the customer. They could care less if you are satisfied. I will never go there again, and will tell every person I know to never go there. Yelp guidelines prohibit a business from using a customers full name in a reply. AAA Ballantyne just broke that rule below and went further to provide the model of my vehicle which is personal information that is also prohibited. I think they just proved my point...totally unethical and unprofessional. read more

Not sure why I keep going to this location, but this time was the last time. I had a $20 coupon and still don't know why my amount came to $37. For fear of catching a charge trying to argue with them I let it go. I was advised of $1200 worth of work that needed to be done to the car, which from speaking to others is a common theme with them. Will never go back to them and considering the amount of business they COULD get from those who work in the area, they would treat people better for the repeat business. Talking to my fellow coworkers there isn't anyone who would use them again and that's sad on their part. Oh not to mention the last time I dropped my car off they didn't even change my oil and didn't call me to let me know they wouldn't be able to get to my car that day due to an issue in the shop. read more

I have been taking both my car and my wife's car to AAA Car Care Center - Ballantyne for about 3 years now. These guys are not cheap, but they do great work - so you do get what you pay for! They always do their best to find me discounts/coupons, which definitely helps. I have been a customer of Gary (the owner) for the entire time, and most recently my last 2 visits with Warren "Turnip" Turnipseed have been nothing but perfect. Also, for me, the location is ideal. It is best to make an appointment but they still manage to "squeeze me in" even if I do not have one. This type of flexibility is highly valued. I feel lucky to have found honest and competent mechanics to service my vehicles. Again, if that means a higher price tag, then so be it (it is still far better than going to the dealer for repairs!). read more

Wanted to give a big kudos to one of your Travel Agents. I had the pleasure of booking a trip with AAA for my 25th Wedding Anniversary. Wasn't sure where I wanted to go but knew it was somewhere out of the country. I called AAA Travel and spoke with Ashley. She was very professional and help a great deal with my decision making. I received detailed information regarding several places and we were finally able to narrow my search. Once I decided the location, Ashley took care of the rest. Ashley provided excellent customer service and made sure I was up to date on any changes regarding the trip. Fast forward to the day of travel. Let's just say everything went well until I stepped in the room. I was told the room was going to be a 4 star but for me it was more like a 1 star. At this point I was VERY unhappy and wanted the next plane out. I contacted Ashley and express my concerns. At this point I was very upset and wasn't open to hearing what Ashley had to say. I wanted her to know that the room was NOT what I expected and I wanted the first plane out of there. Ashley remain calm through the entire conversation. She ask if I could give her a chance to see what she could do to make my stay enjoyable. After going back and forth with her(in a not so pleasant tone), I finally allowed her the chance to see what she could do. Within minutes I receive a called from Ashely. She had ask that I go to the front lobby and ask to speak with Joule. I proceeded to the front lobby and Joule was ready to assist. A few minutes later I was taken to another room. This room was a big difference. I was very satisfied and was ready to celebrate my 25 anniversary. Ashley Palmer more than exceeded my expectation. From the very first phone call regarding the trip to the last call regarding the room. I was thankful that she was there to easy my tension and to take care of my concerns asap. It was a stroke of luck when we met Ashley Palmer. We visited the AAA office to pick up maps for a driving trip. Ashley saw us and asked if she could help, as it was a trip to visit friends we did not need assistance. Ashely said to call her if we ever needed any assistance. We were invited to see travel programs, which we attended but still did not sign up for anything. Then we decided to take a trip to Italy's Amalfi coast. I knew I needed help, even more so when we added a trip to Sicily, a place whose geography is truly foreign to me. I immediately thought of Ashley and was glad that I did. Ashley listened to how we like to travel, what were our interests, where we wanted to visit, and what type of hotels we wanted. With each request it was clear that she listen and we were so pleasantly surprised with the advice, the services, and the locations she found for us. We were planning a vacation and needed help. I happened into AAA and was greeted by Shannon Ondecker. Our trip was huge, 32 days long. We went to Europe and traveled through England, then took a 12 day Euro cruise, then 8 days touring Italy. It took 3 months of planning. Shannon's work was so extraordinary. She went so above and beyond. Our trip turned out to be the most amazing experience you can imagine. After endless bad experiences, I left the dealership (Spring 2015) I purchased my car from and switched to AAA for all my car's maintenance needs, which has been few. Warren, aka "Turnip", is ultra helpful. For the most part, all the employees I witness at this location are cheerful and busy trying to complete their jobs. Considering I've only ever experienced the opposite at other body shops, I am glad to give this AAA location my patronage. I had an appt. at noon on Sat. for brake service and an oil change. After asking several times for an eta, I could not get a straight answer. The guys at the counter seemed too relaxed and not interested in customer service.I went to have some lunch and after an hour had not heard anything, I called and was told I would get a call when they knew something... I went back an hour and half later and my car had not even been looked yet. I had to leave without having anything done to my car. I made an appt. so it would be a whole affair, I will not be back. read more

My car wouldn't start at home so I had to have it towed here. It took them nearly an hour and a half (it's 3 miles from my house) to even call me. When they did, Warren asked me what was wrong with it so they apparently hadn't even attempted to start the car. After explaining the issue, he 'guessed' it was the starter and quoted me 320 to replace it saying it was an easy job and he would call back to confirm that was the issue. After another 3 hours passed, I still had received no call. I had to call to ask the status of what was wrong. They clearly had known and didn't bother to call me or start the work. He then quoted me 565 saying that it was complex. The story completely changed and when I called him out on it he had no response. When I asked how long it would take he said he didn't know! I needed my car back that day as I am alone and it's my only mode of transportation and he couldn't have cared less when I told him. Finally he called saying it would be done at 6 so when I show up at 6, he gave me the run around saying it would be 'awhile' and when I asked what that was he said 'a bit'. When I asked for further clarification he curtly said I could go talk to the mechanic myself. He was complete condescending and a complete prick. I got taken advantage of since they knew I couldn't drive my car anywhere. DO NOT SERVICE YOUR CAR HERE. read more

For the third year in a row I have taken my car to AAA in Ballantyne for its annual vehicle inspection and once again they have attempted to sell me tires, only this time they actually failed my car. Although I'm a woman and must appear to them to know nothing about high performance cars, thankfully I'm not a stupid woman and did not fall for their bait and switch tactic since tires for my car cost $300 each. I took it to the dealership and was told I do not need new tires and the car passed its inspection. It may be convenient, but they are not honest. I have the past 3 years reports where they suggested gratuitous work and then I went to the dealership to verify - as If I'm going to let those chuckleheads do actual work on my BMW or Lexus GSF - and the dealership said the work was not needed. Do not allow them to do extra work on your car based on their bogus vehicle inspections - take it to a dealership or other trustworthy source for a second opinion before possibly having unnecessary work done. read more

I got a flat tire at 7 am and went straight to AAA. I had a flight at 4 pm and needed my car to get to the airport. They told me their schedule was full but I explained my situation and they said they "would get it done" and they did!!! They went into Uptown to get a tire for me and I was on the road, new car tire by 11 am! Can't thank these guys enough! Horrible service. Arrived at my appointment promptly at 11 AM pm 10/11 for an oil change. They pulled my car into the shop within 15 minutes, then the 2 mechanics chatted and told jokes for over 20 minutes without doing a thing. They stopped and chatted between every portion of the service and ended up taking 1 hour 20 minutes, for nothing but an oil change. There was nothing else discussed between them and myself regarding filters, etc. NO supervision. I watched the whole thing from the waiting room and it didn'y matter to them. My fiancé and I scheduled an appointment to plan our upcoming honeymoon to the Florida Keys. Our travel agent was Mary Clark and she was AMAZING!!! We went to Mary with a few ideas of what areas we wanted to stay in and she took our information and set us up with the perfect package. She went above and beyond to find us direct flights, highly rated hotels, and she even helped us decide what towns we should begin and end in once we got to the Keys to make travel easier for us. I received a coupon for $17.95 oil change and tire rotation after renewing my AAA membership. So, instead of going to the local oil change shop, I made an appointment to go here. Although I had an appointment for first thing in the morning, I still had to wait nearly an hour and a half. I didn't get the tire rotation because I was told I'll be needing new tires soon, and I ended up being charged $57.12! To add insult to injury, a review of my receipt after I got home showed that I was also charged for a tire rotation that was supposed to have been included with the oil change! And, as a 'bonus' an additional $4,500.00 in mechanical work and new tires was recommended....on a 12-year old car. The folks there were certainly nice enough, but I sure won't be going back. In fact, I regret going at all. I just never expected to be totally ripped off by AAA. I doubt I'll be missed, though, because they also had my name and address wrong on the receipt. read more

I have been taking my car here for regular oil changes for 2 years. They really out did themselves my last visit on 5 Dec 2016...particularly Mr. Warren Turnipseed. I knew my back brakes were getting ready for replacement (I drive A LOT) as was my battery. I had a 0900 (9 a,m. for you non-24 hour clock folks). They took my car right away but came out to tell me about the brakes and battery =(. I asked them if they could do it at that time since I had a 1330 (1:30 p.m.) appt w/the physical therapist. Mr. Turnipseed said no problem they would just call for the one part. And I'd be out of there in plenty of time. After waiting for a few hours, I was informed the ppl w/the parts arrived but w/o MY parts. So it would take more time. I was getting anxious because I still had to go home and change and get to my appt. I wasn't upset just antsy. Mr. Turnipseed found me outside to tell me he was doing everything in his power to get the parts but that he would be willing to go ahead and drive me home (himself...not the shuttle driver) so that I could change and then take me to my appt. And he did just that. He waited out in the van like a gentleman, I hurriedly changed and off I was to my appt...early in fact. Mr. Turnipseed promised that someone would be there at 1430 to pick me up. And promptly at 1430 up rolls the AAA van! My car was ready and everything went smoothly. Mr. Turnipseed was genuinely concerned for my appt as well as completely frustrated with the ineptitude of the "parts" ppl for failing on their end. He said he wants to make sure all his members are happy. I believe him! He made me really feel like a member not just a number. Glad to see new blood at the Car Care Center! Great service. read more

This guy that his name starts with Je is awful he yelled at me over a coupon last year. I went there recently to change my oil and I was so lucky that there was another rep was there. The new manager made good on a promise the previous manager failed to deliver on. And travel specialist Ashley Dunn has been absolutely fantastic to work with!!
