So, I came in because my car was jerking forward when stopped at a light or just in park. They told me it was the transmission mounts, so I trusted them and had them replaced. $1,900 later, the problem isn't fixed :) It's still jolting and jerking, even more now than before. The good : they arranged for a lyft ride to and from your home. The Bad: after the AAA discount I had to pay $197.01 for diagnostic charge ti find out what causes the engine light to come on in my car. I had already replaced the fuel filters, the ignition manifold gaskets and the 4 oxygen sensors. They said they reset the computer as the computer is not recognizing the oxygen sensors. After reading Amy M's response to my initial review, I followed her instructions and emailed, asking to be contacted directly. I sent that email on 7/19, and there's been no response. It's been over a week (8 days), and no response of any kind to my email. No phone call, no reply email. Nothing. So, not only are they non-responsive, they post sham comments, trying to make prospective customers think that they really do care. I really appreciated the great customer service and facilities at this AAA repair center. Note: AAA members should definitely try this place out since they give discounts and free rides home for members! Details: The services provided made sense to me and the charges seemed appropriate (everything is expensive these days!). They did their best to diagnose and fix the strange issue my 2010 Honda was having. I liked that they emailed an itemized breakdown of recommended services that I could review in advance of discussing with them. They did not push or do a "hard sell," which I really appreciated. They worked on my car efficiently and gave updates well. It was great that they utilized email, text, and phone appropriately and they were easy and professional to communicate with. The waiting area was very nice and comfortable, with restrooms and wifi! They even provided rides to and from the center which made it much more accessible even though it was a bit of a distance from my house. With the Stay Home 4 NV slowly petering out, we began looking for a mechanic close to home. AAA Auto Repair Center on Sunset fits that bill. Convenient location & hours, we thought to give them a try. Figured we'd call & get an appointment first. I'm not wild about sitting in a waiting room if I don't have to. Come to find out, they won't allow it at this time anyway. It's located where an old Sears auto shop used to be. David met me outside (wearing a mask) in the parking lot as I parked, with my work order in his hand. As we were new customers, he verified all the information & took the keys. The Mrs had followed me & we went home, waiting for a phone call to return. It was a couple of hours before we got that call. All in all, a good experience for our first visit. David was friendly & very neighborly. We also received a very nice stainless steel water bottle as a gift. We will be back. read more

Went in for an oil change on my BMW. They took my car in at the time of my appointment and promptly an hour later my car was ready to go. They also emailed me a comprehensive list of other things that need repair on my car immediately and in the near future which I appreciated. They were transparent with costs from the moment I dropped off my vehicle and even helped give me estimates for future repairs. I have to start off by saying that before now, I held very high regards for AAA Auto Repairs. Up until I recently picked up my car from being serviced. Only to realize my 2way Dash Cam was disconnected. Which I found suspect. Especially when my Serpentine was being replaced. Not to mention my Glove Box appeared to be tampered with. The key cylinder was already loose before bringing for service. however, attempting to enter glovebox the key cylinder popped out. Apparently my car was serviced by someone named Erick. When I called Jimmy about the issue of the dash cam he insisted his guys wouldn't do that. Without even looking deeper. I was made to feel that I was lying about that. Initially when I called last Friday. Was told Jim won't be in until Monday, and that he will relay mssge. And he'll Call me back. (To no avail) After finally speaking with Jim, I was told his superior Steve would touch bases. (To no avail) Jimmy talks a good game but I know for a fact my dash cam stays connected! I wouldn't recommend this location. Can't trust it. Also, Jim said the the labor warranty is void because I supplied the part. Say what?! I just spent about $750 worth of labor for no warranty. read more

I was happy with the work done at the AAA Auto Repair Center. They addressed everything I told them about. However, I did not request a bumper-to-bumper diagnostic. As a result, I had to go back again to get some other problems taken care of. If you're taking a car in, be sure to specify if you want EVERYTHING looked at. This can save an additional trip. I commend AAA for arranging rides back and forth from their center to your home. I don't have to depend on a neighbor, a spouse taking off work, or anyone else. I have a long memory and a big mouth, so trust that I will inform everyone that I know about this type of sheisty operation. Rather than being able to count on AAA's repair service, I feel completely taken advantage of. I was out of town, had a car emergency, and was told who I could tow my vehicle to at no additional charge. The repair shop then proceeded to price gouge for way more than another reputable mechanic I found to the tune of $2,219.36 vs. $1,000 (more than triple the diagnostic fee, more than double the parts cost, and more than double the labor cost). After calling repeatedly to try and have someone explain the price structure and reason for their rates compared to others in the area, my call was lost and I was transferred to the wrong person over and over again. I finally gave up, paid their ridiculous diagnostic fee, and paid to have my car towed to a different, reputable repair shop. What a waste of my money and time. OH, and you can ignore any owner responses below, because I can guarantee you that nothing will be different after I email them. Hear me when I say that I will NEVER give AAA repair service the opportunity to treat me like this again. I will only use AAA for roadside assistance. Shame on AAA for this. read more

I had a perfect experience with this AAA Auto Repair Center. PERFECT. I was greeted and checked-in by Eric, Shop Manager and introduced to Alan, Store Manager. I had an 8 AM appointment and got right in, no wait. Alan said he'd call within a few hours. They paid for a Lyft ride to take me home. By 9:30 I received a text and a call with the diagnostic and repair quote. We negotiated a little bit because it stretched my anticipated budget to its limit. We removed some minor points. Alan said he'd check in again around lunchtime to give me an update regarding parts availability. He called at 12:10 to tell me that all the parts were available and my car should be ready in about an hour. He called at 1:30 to say the car was ready and a Lyft would be ordered to pick me up. I was at the shop before 2:00 and paying my bill with Tony, another pleasant employee. All three men I came into contact with were polite and professional. I couldn't be more pleased with the service, price, and outcome, along with a two-year warranty on the work they performed. I will recommend them to EVERYONE who needs a mechanic. read more

I recently had hip replacement surgery and couldn't drive for a few weeks. My husband took my car for an oil change. In the trunk I keep a roadside tool kit, brand new never used. During service the battery, which you access via the trunk, was checked. About a week later I got back to driving and just happened to open the trunk and there sat my tool kit open in the middle of the trunk. Not where I keep it. Low and behold, one of the tools is missing. Now obviously we didn't see it get taken because they take the car and don't let you watch or sit in the waiting room, and maybe I should have taken everything of value out first, but... There are a lot of other places to go. read more

I took my car in for some services. And I was totally taken. This service center is such a rip off. AAA is regarded as the standard by which all repair centers are to be held too. Not this AAA repair center. If you want your vehicle repaired properly and in a timely manner go somewhere else. Very overpriced and the mechanics are working on several vehicles at the same time. Because they have only a few mechanics and this center is trying to rake in as much money as they can. I will never go back or recommend this repair center to anyone! read more

The mechanics don't know sh%t about Benzes, after 2 days, they sent me to the dealer because they can't fix it (I have it in writing) Now When I got the Mercedes dealer, they said the AAA mechanic notes were 100% incorrect. I called my AAA service advisor back bc their mis-diagnosis (which I paid for 2X) cost me more money, don't I get a discount? His friendliness turned sour, all fake, he referred me to the manager which maybe available next week, if he is not busy. Got my car serviced for transmissio/brake/ coolant fluids and spark plug. After a week my car was running on and off so I went back to have it checked why after the service my car was doing that. Allan told me I need to change the transmission. So instead of fixing my car they made it worst and charge me again for the diagnostic. Being a Costco member I had a choice of 2 referrals from Costco that would give me a Costco discount, and I'm very happy that I chose AAA Auto Repair. From beginning to end, Eric and Pete were very courteous, and professional! The service on my car was completed sooner than the time I was quoted, and their price I was quoted with my Costco membership saved me a lot of money! I was amazed at the transformation of their customer service lobby. It looked completely different from when it was Sears Auto Repair. The lobby was super clean, and all of the safety precautions due to COVID were put into place. Not only did they THOROUGHLY sanitize the counters and the credit card machine, BUT Eric even sanitized my credit card prior to handing it back to me through the plexiglass, and they also provide share driving service!
