I ordered an entire bathroom remodel with them. The lady helping us didn't order the bidet seat for the toilet (a nearly $1200 item by the way), even though I made it clear I wanted it. When my contractor contacted them about the fact that while the toilet arrived, it didn't come with any seat at all, the manager insisted that this is what I ordered. Instead of making it right when it was pointed out that there had been a mistake, they doubled down on the 'It's what was ordered.' Anne worked with my measurements to select and calculate floor tile and grout. I had an existing shower accent tile. 2. Anne selected vanity finish and designed a number of drawers and size. 3. Anne selected frosty Carrina countertop for vanity, which is gorgeous and easy maintenance along with the Kohler Ladena sink. 4. The custom mirror was mounted on same finish as the vanity and hanging brackets. Great quality mirror material. 5. Gabby helped select the faucet, shower head and shower valves, all Hansgrohe. 6. Gabby wrote up purchase orders and verified all items and prices. 7. Robert shared his expertise on lighting, tile installation and doors and hardware for the existing closet. He was confident the closet and vanity matched and am so happy with the results. The team was professional, respectful and offered options of material costs, shipping fees, dates and even problem solving as the project began. The showroom displays helped to visualize the remodel. Anne's selection of vanity material, which I would have never looked at on my own, is a stunning piece. The hardware for all the plumbing is on display. The showroom floor is installed with tiles to help visualize size and layouts. Bathroom remodel is a challenge and Home Expo made it enjoyable, upped my game and helped to produce a beautiful bathroom. I'm so impressed with the Home Expo & Design. I highly recommend this business. This place is very popular and yet Robert was very attentive and helpful. He had a sincere interest in helping my husband and me. He was so busy and he made time for us. He was willing to write down in details to communicate with us. He tried various ways to meet our budget for remodeling our shower and toilet. Strongly advise people to stay away from this store to avoid any potential loss, as they lack professionalism, integrity, and respect for their customers. TL;DR: 1. No valid return policy. 2. Extremely rude and unprofessional. 3. Not honoring their own words. 4. Personally attacked and threatened to sue customer because of negative review. Full story: First, there is no valid return policy. They told me the tile was returnable with a restocking fee, but after I took the time and effort to load, drove and drop the tile the next day, they said it wasn't returnable. They do not respect customers' time and effort. I left a negative Google review after a month based on this experience, and requested to pick up my dropped-off tile another month later. Robert(the owner/manager?) initially agreed to let me pick up my order, but then threatened me to change my review. He demanded I sign an agreement not to change my review back to negative in exchange for my tiles. Even after I was forced to change my review to 5 stars, they still stalled on giving back my tiles. This is unethical. The owner claimed to have contacted 5 managers and spent hours locating my tiles suggesting I was being ungrateful, but I find it hard to believe as he never showed a good attitude or apologized once during the entire process. Additionally, they claimed they have the right to throw my tile away without notifying me. Their excuses were self-contradictory: first saying the warehouse was too small to store the tiles, then saying it was too large to find them. They also never returned my calls as promised. They accused me of being a terrible and rude person just for trying to resolve the issue based on their initial promise. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. Again, I strongly advise against doing business with this company. They lack professionalism, integrity, and respect for their customers. read more

Bobbi and his team have made bathroom cabinets for my house. I renovated two bathrooms in 2014 and the third in 2023. I have attached photos of all cabinets. Even after almost 9 years of daily use , you cannot differentiate between the brand new one and old ones. The quality of work is simply superb and price is less than comparable premium European brands. Attention to details was exemplary and hardware has been of highest quality. Nice selection of fixtures here, but we were put off by signs around the store indicating that photography is not allowed. I suppose if you already know exactly what you want, then it's fine because you're going to place your order. But if you're in the early stages of decision-making, as we were when we stopped by, then not being able to take a quick snapshot to think about later is a big hindrance. I get it - nowadays everyone is trying to save a few bucks by getting information from brick and mortar stores and then finding the same item online. Businesses like this need to find ways to compete, but restriction of information is not a very nice way to do it. I've read the reviews that describe good customer service at this location, and that's certainly something that attracts and keeps customers. During our visit, sadly, in the 30 minutes we were here with virtually no other customers, we weren't greeted at all. I seriously debated giving this place a 2-star review, but I guess I'm feeling a little generous. Plus, it does have some nice stuff here. We're not planning on coming back though. read more

We were remodeling our master bath and our contractors needed to install the shower niche. They needed us to get it within a couple of days or the work would be put on hold. We needed a large shower niche (3-5 feet) but had some difficulty finding one that we could get right away. They have a pretty good selection here, and fortunately it was one of the only places I was able to find the large shower niche that I was looking for. Tony was a huge help and let us know that he could get it for us by the next day. The prices were very reasonable, comparable to what I saw online. Tony was so helpful and really went the extra mile to make sure that he provided excellent customer service. I went back a few more times for some other things, and each time Tony was very helpful, friendly, and professional. I will definitely be coming back for my next project. read more

During the renovation of my San Jose townhouse, I had to deal with many suppliers and contractors. Some of them don't deliver what they say gave me BS that was stressful. But Robert and his crew at Home Expo & Design delivered what was agreed to my satisfaction and willingly fix any flaws free of charge. I ordered 2 customized shower doors from him. One of shower doors was replaced immediately when his crew noticed it did not meet my drawing. Also I bought faucet and sink from him and found out that they did not fit many months later. He took them back without charging a restocking fee. His shop was able to fabricated a hanging vanity with matching mirror color. I saw a vanity cabinet at another store I fell in love with, but the color and paint was too shiny and light. I searched and found this store and was able to special order one here. All you need a drawing and they can do anything. It had to be redesigned a bit to accommodate the pipes and sink, but it turned out great and for about the same price as the one I saw. I was worried about the color, but once installed everything came together nicely. Robert is amazing gave amazing advice for my bathroom remodel. The staff is great . I worked a lot with Stephanie too. She helped pick out the handles for the cabinet as well. It's great to get a second opinion.Chris was great for shower door advice. This is a one stop shop. I ordered my porcelain tile flooring , shower doors, medicine cabinet and special ordered a mirror cut to the size I wanted. We are working on fixing the mirror since it had spots and a chip. The medicine cabinet was installed chipped so that can't be returned otherwise they would have exchanged it no questions asked. I got pretty good pricing on most of my items and wish I would have went there first. I went after weeks of shopping around. I will do business here again. I came here looking for backsplash and 2 saleswomen saw me and greeted me, but did not offer help. Finally, I asked another salesperson to help me, but he was not very friendly and seemed in a rush (even though I was the only customer in the store) and irritated when answering my questions. I found that the prices for what I was looking for were sometimes twice as expensive (~$30/sq ft) as at other places ($10-$20/sq ft). read more

Remodeling anything is always such a tortuous task. When my parents decided it was (finally) time to redo the kitchen, we spent weeks looking at stone for the countertop. We stumbled across Home Expo & Design towards the end of our search, just when my mom had almost finalized her decision for quartz elsewhere. Robert greeted us & we walked around the store. Admittedly, there's not many differences between most of the stores we went to. Showrooms are put together the same except the workmanship. This is where Home Expo & Design really outshine their competitors. My mom fell in love with one of the Silestone countertops. Quartz sometimes can have too much going on like granite but the one she chose resembled marble almost. The Silestone comes with installation fees included because they don't stand behind the stone unless they do it. At first we were iffy about that but once we saw some other places that put together Silestone countertops, it was clear that this place does it best. The seam where two pieces meet are barely noticeable to the naked eye. You can slightly feel it if you run your hands on it. Trust me, you want to spend that extra money on a place that knows how to put together their countertops. Robert helped us throughout the entire process. He explained everything from the plywood being flush against the counter top & what kind of bullnose you want for your corners. They send a guy out to measure & create templates after your cabinets are in. At first they said we'd only have one seam but when they went back to the shop, they realized it had to be 2 since transporting such a large piece is risky. Robert himself came back with the measuring guy to explain and apologize. Sitting through 5 o'clock traffic just to assure us was a really nice gesture & we appreciated it. The installation only took one day so we were quite impressed. The work was very efficient and it lived up to my mom's expectations. She couldn't have been happier with her new countertop. Thanks for making her so happy, Robert! I would definitely recommend him if you're in the market of redoing your kitchen! 5 stars all around! read more

Robert is your guy here, he's friendly, easy to talk to and always trying to help. Sometimes the staff may not be able to attend to you, because there are always these "self proclaimed interior designer" customers that are actually just "home decorator", they are usually very indecisive and always hogging the staff. I have personally gone through the remodeling process many times in different homes, it is always a tortuous process... shipments can get delay sometimes, don't take it out on the staff, it's not always their fault, things like this just happen. I had a shower base arrived with a scratch on it, with my bathroom stripped down and contractors waiting to get started on the job, I really didn't want to wait another 2 weeks for another shower base. Yet, Robert was able to get me another good quality shower base. Props to Robert and Home Expo & Design, I highly recommended this place, not only for their fair price, but their superb customer service as well! read more

In the middle of a kitchen and bathroom renovation and I can't say enough good things about Robert and Home Expo Design. The staff (Robert, Stephanie and Gabby) are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, patient and never pushy. Robert will go out of his way to help his customers in whatever capacity he can. I bought tiles for my kitchen and was short one tile for another project. Robert offered to give me a tile at no charge. I was looking for a small amount of backsplash material and Robert offered to sell me what I need so I didn't have to buy a box. The Yelp reviews are accurate when they say the salespeople are helpful and friendly. Return policies, not at all. The showroom is on the small side, so we ended up ordering a kitchen faucet sight unseen. When we opened the box, we could immediately see without taking anything out that the faucet was much too large for our sink. So off we went to the store, only to learn they charge a whopping 35% restocking fee (and were told that the company might not take the faucet back at all...). Our bad for ordering something sight unseen and not checking on the return policy first. But 35%? Seriously? Although we won't return, I wouldn't necessarily advise against Home Expo & Design. The outside of this small, unassuming building does not do it justice. Especially when you put it next to the pristine shiny whiteness of its neighbor. You walk in the door of this shop and you are met with a brightly lit showroom floor, jam packed with all things bathroom and kitchen. How they managed to fit all of it in there and still remain as organized as they are is baffling! We went in just for the fun of it and ended up falling in love with several things. I experienced so much my first time here. As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted by an employee. She was incredibly helpful and knew so much about the product they were selling (quality and pricing) off the top of her head. They had a lot to choose from. Normally dealing with sales representatives they seem to just want you to buy something and leave. I didn't feel like this here. She genuinely wanted to help me create the bathroom I dreamed of. She provided advice on what complement well together and I was so indecisive during the whole ordeal but she showed a lot of patience. For our home remodel, we worked with Robert and his team on a number of products and installs. The team is incredibly helpful, not just on the items they sold to us, but also provided advice and help on how we can fix problems we created ourselves (we tried to be our own general contractor) and showed us how to save money. They did cabinetry work for us (bathroom vanity - a really nice one), installed a shower glass frame, and various other things. They ended up making cabinet modifications for me on cabinets I had bought off the rack elsewhere - super nice looking work for a very reasonable price. This was far and away the best experience I had on my home renovation. We initially went to Ikea to get our counter tops, wrongly assuming it would be the cheapest price. Ikea needed weeks to service our request, put many of the leveling and installation requirements on us, and ultimately we had to request a refund. Not only did Robert's team come out within 2 days of our order, they did gorgeous custom edging work not offered by big box stores, did all aspects of the installation, and did it for several hundred dollars LESS. Even better, (if that's possible) we were treated with extraordinary customer service throughout. Even though the scope of our job was relatively small in the scheme of things, I always felt like I was Home Expo's most important customer. Working with a team that didn't take our money and time for granted was really refreshing. Came into the showroom and was not greeted, 2 sales associates just starred at me without saying anything. At first I thought that was fine, I'll just ask someone if I needed help, but there was not too much information regarding certain tiles and materials. Browsing the kitchen and bath section, selection was scarce and did not have what we came in looking for. Pricing was hard to locate and did not have any available employees to ask, they were at the front desk talking to each other while the store was busy. When I did go to the front desk inquiring about certain prices, the employee wasn't the nicest and didn't directly answer my question. I just wasted my time coming in and browsing for no reason. If I could give zero stars for the overall experience I would. For me, I was very unhappy with my experience at Home Expo and found it unpleasant. I felt like the employee was rushing and did not even address or answer my question. I understand that every store is different in the way that they approach their customer service, but if the person helping you is unpleasant and has a rude tone of voice, I'm not going to feel comfortable. I will be going somewhere else that has better customer service and that is professional all the way. read more

5 stars for super customer service. After having a bad customer service from Porcelanosa, I stopped by the Home Expo & Design store which is next door to the Porcelanosa. The store is nice and clean and the customer service is 10 times better than what I had experienced at Porcelanosa. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They let me borrow the sample tiles with no charge. I bought 19 boxes of tiles from this store with a very reasonable price. The tiles were beautiful and were made in Spain. I will come back to get more tiles for my 2 bathrooms. I highly recommend this store. read more
