DMV is here too! Super convenient. You don't actually have to go to the DMV office to get your stuff done. Just moved from Hawaii to the East Bay. Needed to do my car registration and came to AAA instead of the dreaded long lines at DMV. AAA was quick and easy. My transaction took about 5minutes and I was out the door! Don't leave home without it -- your AAA membership card, that is. Fast and efficient is the best way to describe this office. I'm always in and out in a jiffy with whatever information I need. The staff is very helpful. It's a great place to obtain maps for trips, and the AAA tourbooks are excellent for detailed information on any place that you are traveling. They also handle select DMV services at this location. I have yet to take advantage of this, but plan to in the near future when I have renewals, etc. to take care of -- saves standing in endless lines at the horrid Fremont DMV! read more

I used to go to the AAA office inside the Lucky's in Union City, until they shut it down. They only had 1 agent there, and were never busy. I guess i can see why they shut down. This location is always busy, sometimes the line is out the door. They have two agents working the desk, which is nice, but they could definitely use a third because its busy enough to justify. They usually get in you and out reasonably quick, and they are knowledgeable. But they really need to add another person, so get things moving. Still 110% better than going to the DMV! read more

I am proud to say I am an owner of brand new 2020 Honda Accord sport. However, with only being a first time buyer, the finances quickly start adding up. With buying a new car, comes the full coverage you need to add on to the car. With the payment and the insurance adding up, it brought a lot of stress upon which lead me to think, did I mistake buying this car? However, with the help of Triple A and it's wonderful employee, Sandeep Singh, I am in love with my new car. Mrs. Singh made sure she can do everything she can in her power to get me the best coverage for my car and the best deal I could get. I made a couple mistakes which led to having a point on my driving record. Therefore, any policy would lead to a dent in my wallet. The one star is based upon my last 2 monthly visits to simply pay my car insurance bill. The member services window has been closed and I had to wait in their long DMV services line. I come here for simple services such as renewing my registration. It is so nice not having to wait in line like I would have to with the normal DMV. I know I can do it online, but I like getting my registration sticker as quickly as possible so I come in person. Coming to the AAA office also makes me feel like I am getting something out of my membership if my car doesn't break down. I was assisted by Mark (if I remember correctly) last time and he was very kind and quickly got my registration renewed. Highly recommended for AAA members. read more

Erin and Zoria (sp.?) were awesome yesterday with helping me fix my son's car seat. Before coming in, the car seat would always lean to one side anytime I made a big turn. Now, it's super sturdy and won't budge at all. I never could've gotten it like that on my own! Thank you guys so much for the help! The AAA branch in Newark has a DMV office inside the building . The DMV inside the building is never busy when I have used it there! When I entered the building I was greeted in a friendly manner. Everyone was friendly and helpful with all of my needs. I went in to the AAA office to pick up a new registration card. While I was there I enquired about Uber insurance which was provided at a very cheap price!!! I also picked up some umbrella insurance to protect our assets, which again was very reasonable !! I already receive 20 percent off car and house Ins. They talked to me about life Ins. and what I currently have and was informed that I would save another 5 % off of my Ins rate if I changed my life Ins over to them also!! I will go and talk to them about that tomorrow ! Erick Crawford helped me with all of my insurance questions and needs quickly and efficiently . All of the people I dealt with there were nice and very knowledgeable about their specific fields they were in. Erick was in a different division but was able to help me with my needs and questions easily and went out of his way to help me. Thanks everyone on Balentine dr. Newark branch. Spoke with 2 agents in this office, unfortunately didn't get their names, the lady is so rude that she even transferred the call to an automated system while still speaking and have no regard for being a loyal AAA insurance customer for more than 10 years. Went to renew my registration on 3/12/20 the girl screwed up the payment she said it didn't go through,I asked her if she was sure,so she got her boss to double check,he said the payment was cancelled so we payed again. Got home and checked my bank app. they charged me twice,now a week and a half later no refund, the manager won't return my calls and the office is closed from the virus. I can't believe they would treat a long time member like this ,very disappointing. Iwill be changing my insurance to a different company asap. Good bye AAA. read more

Be very careful dealing with the agents at AAA. Michelle Silva was told to cancel my two auto policies at the end of the policy period, but they cancelled them about one week earlier. when I questioned this, Vasheta "Tootie" Attaway sent me an email that I requested cancellation before the end of the policy period. THIS IS A BLATANT LIE. There was never any phone conversations concerning cancellation. This office is not to be trusted in doing a simple task. read more

We have had AAA roadside service and AAA car insurance for 25 years. We've used the roadside service plenty of times and always appreciate the help! They are pretty quick, professional and safe. It gives me peace of mind to have AAA assistance. Just recently, I had my first car accident and was apprehensive as to how it would all go. I shouldn't have worried, the whole process was seamless and finished up in 2 weeks. From the first phone call of the Casualty Adjuster (Danielle), to the appraiser who came out to my house, to the partnership rental agency (Hertz) to the Claims Rep (Weston) and the AutoBody shop (Janssens) all parties knew their job well, did their job well, were efficient and most importantly friendly, calm and patient (necessary when dealing with the emotional issue of an accident). I didn't have to worry about the other car, I was told my coverage would take care of everything and I never heard any more about it. I was so pleased, and relieved! I know AAA is more expensive, but now I understand what standard of quality they keep ~ so, we will stick with it (and maybe even move our house over). read more

I'm so irate with this establishment. I went to pay for my BFs motorcycle registration. I paid yo add him to my membership to use their DMV services. Then after I pay they tell me that I cannot get the tags because he isn't present. I also cannot update his address. This is done after I've paid the membership and registration. They they tell me that they can hold it for him and he can just come in with valid identification to pick it up. Not once do they say they would only hold the tags for a day. So today he goes to get them and they notify him that they've been mailed out to his previous address. What is the point of having DMV services if you cannot actually perform the services. They are not an extension of the DMV. They have a license to do some DMV services. But are not an extension of the DMV. It was a waste of my time and my BFs time who is right now been sitting at the DMV trying to obtain the tags. This is how they get you in the door and sucker you into buying the membership without actually being of service to you. read more
