Had brand new fresh smell upon entering, no outdated or worn furniture, and bed/bed linen top notch. I would have given this hotel a 5/5 had it not been for the breakfast- Breakfast food tasted a little bland and not a wide selection for items.Flavor wise, I would compare it to something you'd get from a hospital (3/5 stars). Noise level-5/5. No noise at all on 3rd floor! Pool/spa area: 3.5/5. Would have been a 5 except hot tub felt luke-warm and jets were not real powerful. Front desk: 0/5 for woman working during the day hr shift. My husband said he overheard her speaking to a guest of how she likes to pick up the phone-not answering, and then hanging up on the customer-She explained that she does this because she feels that if a customer needs something so bad, that they can get up and walk to her desk and ask. I will be contacting corporate on her behavior for that. I'm not going to give this motel anything lower than a 4 based on on one staff member because I am basing this score off of the hotel, itself.

Trucks that park in the rear lot are only a short distance from family homes. Despite repeated letters, phone calls, and in-person requests, the hotel has not addressed this ongoing problem. Engines are routinely left idling for extended periods, creating constant noise, diesel exhaust, and pollution that make it difficult for nearby residents to rest or sleep. Oregon law prohibits commercial motor vehicles from idling for more than five minutes within any continuous 60-minute period, except under specific exemptions, however those exemptions are only for temperature control and not to exceed 4 hours. Excessive engine noise violates local noise and pollution ordinances, this is a fact. If you choose to idle your truck in the rear lot, nearby residents will report the violation to law enforcement for investigation which can result in fines and for you to shut off your truck. If you are a truck driver looking for a place to stay, please consider a location that is not immediately adjacent to a residential neighborhood. Respecting the people who live nearby helps everyone.

Let's start with the positives…read more Booked a double queen. It was clean. Decent rate. And it's right next to Oregon State police for those who feel it would add to your safe feeling. Shout out Jose- Manager training a new lady. Amazing guy. Front of hotel looks much better than the rest of it Who ever works the night shift 10/28 front desk.. probably shouldn't be in hospitality. I went down... spoke to him, he looks at me and straight ignored me. I was going to go down and get my welcome gift that you usually get when checking in but it was such a turn off.. I just left. The AC in the room reeeks of mold. I hate this with hotels because Mold actually can get you sick. ( should know this). Plus I had my baby with me. They lied to me earlier today about being sold out for tonight. Funny thing is, I worked with Hilton. I know systems are slow to update but the room I did request is still up tonight . It's 11:32pm. ( yes Guest can still check in) however it's somewhat unlikely being that we are out of tourist season in this area. Also room had no body wash. Not a hard fix but just had conditioner and a bottle of shampoo sitting on side of tub. Either way to end this review: 1. Rooms were decently clean. That's what Matters the most. 2. Last night staff I get it. Don't be fake but do realize... attitude within hospitality matters here in America lol. 3. I'm not a slow cookie. I don't like being lied to Hilton. :/. ---- I didn't take pictures this time but photos looked decently accurate. 3 stars is what I would give it. Would I stay again.. probably.

Traveler Beware! This place is Honestly a Dump... this is not the first time i have stayed here…read moreover the years, however it is certainly the Last. Over the past four years The Guest House has went from possibly a two star to a NEGITIVE 5 Star, pleas see pictures attached. I recently checked in for a room as I was traveling from Central Oregon to Eugene Oregon to visit my mother. I had made my reservations on priceline.com and it cost me 73.00 plus tax. I arrived early and checked in, didn't go up to the room because i was on a mission to help my mother out at her home in the Danabo area. I returned back to the hotel around 7:30 PM.. the First thing in noticed was all of the crack addicts and pot heads, yes smoking weed by the entrance door.. It may be legal, but I don't want to breath it.. When I opened the door I noticed was how filthy the carpeting was.. ok, I will just keep my shoes on right? then I went to turn on the TV. No batteries in the remote. so I walked over to the office, no one in site. After waiting 15 minutes and yes i checked the time when I walked in and the time he, the night guy came into the office. Explained to him the TV remote has no batteries... Was told he didn't have the correct batteries to help me out... No TV Tonight I guess. Returning back to the room I then took a look at the bed, mold in the fibers of the bead spread not on just one, but both of the beds... then the chairs filthy, I don't even want to venture what the stains are from. then looking up, mold in the corner of the room ceiling. the night guy auditor did not seem to care, refused to give me a refund so i could go elsewhere when I asked for one. stated to cancel room I needed to do so within 24 before checking in. told him condition of room, he stated he will inform the manger. stated no rooms available to "Up grade" as if that would help.. So I slept in street clothes, laid towels on the bed first. Did not sit in the chairs and had issues with my asthma all night long. I will end this review here and yet there is so much more to share with all of you. I had yet to touch of the crack heads that apparently live at this establishment. the Pot smokers getting high by the entrance door to the rooms, or the piles of Dog Shit all over the parking lot. To the Owners of The Guest House Eugene, Springfield OR. if you even read this review, I would still like a refund See Pics. and I have more pictures if anyone is interested.

June 25, 2026 Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Denied…read moreCheck-In Quality Inn (3350 Gateway St, Springfield, OR, 97477 Dear Alaina Harrison (or current hotel GM), I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my experience at your hotel on the evening of June 24, 2026. Delta Stays Itinerary # 73481562014486 My wife and I had spent an entire day traveling home from Hawaii. After flying into Portland, we drove approximately two and a half hours to Springfield on our way home. Unfortunately, we were unable to access our home that evening, so we booked a room at your hotel through American Express Travel using my Delta SkyMiles points. We arrived at your hotel shortly after midnight, exhausted after a full day of travel, only to be informed that we would not be allowed to check in because the address on my driver's license was within 30 miles of the hotel. I found this policy to be both unreasonable and insensitive to our circumstances. We had a valid, prepaid reservation and were legitimate travelers simply needing a place to sleep after an exceptionally long day. Instead, we were turned away in the middle of the night with nowhere to stay. If your hotel has a local resident policy, it should be clearly disclosed during the reservation process so guests can make other arrangements before arriving. At no point during the booking process through American Express Travel was I informed that our reservation could be denied based solely on our home address. To make matters worse, because the reservation had been booked using Delta SkyMiles points through American Express Travel, it was considered non-refundable. I was forced to spend a significant amount of additional time on the phone with customer service to explain the situation and request an exception so the reservation could be refunded. This unnecessary burden was the direct result of a reservation being accepted even though your hotel ultimately refused to honor it. This experience caused significant inconvenience, unnecessary stress, and frustration at a time when we were already physically exhausted from our travels. I respectfully request: * An explanation of why our prepaid reservation was accepted if we were ineligible to stay. * Confirmation of whether this policy is consistently applied. * Consideration of appropriate compensation for the inconvenience, hardship, and additional time required to resolve a problem that should never have occurred. I have generally found Quality Inn properties to provide dependable accommodations, which makes this experience especially disappointing. I hope you will review this situation and consider making changes to ensure future guests are clearly informed of this policy before they arrive, or that reservations are declined during the booking process rather than after guests arrive at the hotel. I look forward to your response. Sincerely, Frank Vaughan
