Aab has the best Chicken Tikka Masala in Columbus! We really like the "regular" spice level which in my opinion wasn't spicy at all and was very creamy and flavorful. We also tried their Keema Samosa which comes with 2 spiced beef samosas which were delicious. Hands down the best Indian in Columbus...probably best I've EVER had! The lamb saag is my go to, it's absolutely mouth watering. Usually we get take out which is always hot, fresh, and ready on time. I came here around 2PM the other day for their lunch buffet deal! It was so worth it! It was only 13$ for the whole meal! We got there just in time because the buffet ends at 3PM! It wasn't too busy so we barely had to wait at all to be seated and get food in front of us. Their spicy chicken tandoori was really good! Just a bit dry. In general, everything else was good! I also really loved that I was able to try all the different curries because it would get quite expensive if I ordered all the curries during normal menu hours. I'm used to "yeah that was ok" to bad Indian buffets. Cheap and filling. But this? EXCELLENT. About the place: just what I like, nice, clean well done but not over the top. And no trendy marketing hitting you over the head with meaningless crap to justify the price. And the price. They didn't follow what seems usual with most places since that "thing that happened." They didn't raise the price AND lower quality. At least I'm guessing that cause the quality was top notch but the price was more than I had seen in a review. Well worth it! For one: They are not afraid of or stingy with cream. Heavy. Ass. Cream. Man! Same with the spices (excluding chili). Bold and present. I used to like saag paneer as a sort of side dish for better stuff. Here? It can stand alone. It's not just the cream...something else....made it the best I've ever tasted. And I went back for just that. But the best thing- home made pickle!!! What a revelation! I've never had any other than pre prepared at any Indian restaurant I've ever been to! Soooooo good! This is why I put it a 5. Above and beyond, especially for a place and meal that necessarily has to appeal to a wide demographic for business reasons. They do. Family friendly is always makes me happy. But the hip and bitter were there too. Diversity! And all happy! Someone is taking pride in their food and it shows. Came here with a crew on a Friday night and it was popping. We had a short wait but got seated pretty quickly and almost immediately, our server came by for a drinks order. We also got great recs him re: the chicken Jalfrezi, which was super flavorful. A good 4/6 on the spice level was the perfect amount for me - it was just a lil spicy but not overpowering. The rosewater Lassi was also great. They had a pretty extensive cocktail selection for happy hour (which we just missed) so would recommend coming for that too. Is this the best Indian food in Columbus.... I'd say no. But it was still tasty. If I could give it 3.5/ 5 I would. The food was prepared well and they had a good number of vegetarian and non veg options. It wasn't very spicy and some of the dishes kind of tasted the same. Although I had heard from a couple of people that Aab India was not a very good restaurant, I had always wanted to give it a try anyway. When a friend, who really likes Indian food, asked if I wanted to have dinner one evening, I suggested it. He immediately agreed, saying that it was one of his favorite Indian restaurants. We ordered several items to share, all of which included meats, vegetables, rice, and sauces of various sorts. I literally cannot tell you the names of what we ordered. But I can tell you that all of it was absolutely delicious! My friend told me that he sometimes stops in at Aab for the lunch buffet when he's in Grandview during the week for work, so I now want to try that as well. The atmosphere is relaxed, and seats comfortable, and our server was incredibly nice and talkative. It's a very stylish restaurant and has a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks alike. Parking is on the street, and you do have to pay via a parking app. You can try to park in the lot across the street that belongs to Grandview Mercantile, but there are signs posted saying that you will be towed. That said, I didn't see any tow trucks while we were in the restaurant, seated next to a front window. If you like Indian food and are in the Grandview area, give Aab India a try! read more

Their restaurant is comfortable and classy and their menu is expansive, including a variety of Indian dishes both familiar and exotic to American tastes. From 5-7, they offer happy hour and discounts on appetizers and alcohol. Aab offers a small draft beer menu, and a variety of Indian themed cocktails. My boyfriend had a mango cocktail that he enjoyed. We tried the vegetable samosas and they were solid! The shell was crispy and the filling was light and tasty. We tried the chicken Shahi Korma. The dish was mild and creamy and the chicken was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The dish came with a mountain of rice and it would've been enough for 2 to split. We also enjoyed some fresh naan. I absolutely love this place. Some of the best Indian food around town. Ordered for pick-up. It was ready in about 30 minutes. Staff was very friendly on the phone. I got the palak paneer which was so good. I ordered garlic nan and loved that as well. I was also impressed with the rice. I don't know how they make it taste so good. Aab Indian Cuisine! Thank you for being a friend in flavor and hospitality! Absolutely love this locations for there is ample parking and the building is decorated rather nicely! The pungent smell of curries and spices feel you with glee and joy from the lovely country of India. We walk in we are greeted and offered seating after we taste the minty fennel mixture by the entrance we are presented with menus and suggestions from our server Ryan. My co-worker choose a tomato dish and I got the lamb mushroom curry. Topped of with Onion Naan to split and a nice Merlot for me. The lamb mushroom curry is by far one of the most delicious dishes I have had in a while. The sauce blanketed your tongue like a warm sunday morning on a cool fall morning. Came here during restaurant week around 7:30 for 2 people and it was packed! We put our name in and were then seated within ten minutes. Aab definitely had one of the best restaurant week deals of the year. You got an appetizer, entree (with naan), and dessert for $25! We tried the friend chicken pakora and the paneer pakora. The chicken definitely stole the show in my opinion. I then got chicken makhani and it was delicious! I usually get the tikka masala but I think this was better. Reminded me of a butter chicken! Delicious. After this our server checked us out and we were left sitting there wondering if she forgot our desserts. We flagged her over after about 5 minutes and that was indeed the case. Once we got it, I tried both the Kheer and the gulab jamun and I think both were okay. But when the entree is usually $19 and one naan is $4, that already makes this deal more than worth it!! AAB is arguably my favorite Indian places in Columbus! Every time I go for either lunch or dinner, I always leave satisfied, maybe too satisfied sometimes. My go-to food item is the chicken tikka masala since it's so rich and creamy yet has spice and kick to it. You only need a little bit of that sauce to transform a whole plate of their rice into something amazing. Spice levels are a bit skewed so that their "hot" isn't really that hot. Also, I wish there could be varying spice levels during lunch buffet. Other great dishes include their saag paneer and lamb curry. Their garlic naan is gigantic and delicious, tastes freshly baked. Their mango lassi is amazing too, but perhaps a tad too sweet for me. Their lunch buffet is a good value, but I do think the dinner could be a little cheaper. A good time to try AAB is during restaurant week when you get three courses for just $15! Service is great but if you catch them on a busy night they'll be a bit slow though still really courteous. Aab is my favorite Indian restaurant (in Columbus) of all time. I have spent a month in India and I can truly say the food here is authentic compared to high quality native Indian cuisine. The tikka masala is creamy and flavorful - best with garlic naan for dipping. The pakora and samosas are always crispy on the outside and hot and savory on the inside. This was my first time eating Aab in well over a year, and it was exactly as I remembered. I ordered the lamb biryani (level 3 spice) with a side of nan, and my boyfriend ordered the chicken tikka masala (level 5 spice) with a side of garlic nan. I don't eat as much spicy food as he does, but of course I had to have a bite of his anyway. It was far too hot for me, but the spice didn't overpower the actual taste and flavor of his dish at all. I ordered ahead online and it was ready for pickup at the exact time they said it would be. The portions are huge and leaves enough for leftovers which is great. The only downside to going to Aab, and the same to any other restaurant in that area of Grandview, is the parking is tough to come by. That's not any fault of the restaurant of course, but always good to take into consideration if you're trying to get to the restaurant at a set time or if you were trying to meet up with someone in that area. read more

This was our first time trying this Indian restaurant, and it greatly exceeded expectations. Parking is a little tricky. There is some street parking, and there is a bank across the street where you might be able to park after bank hours. The exterior is very unassuming. There is a patio for outside dining. Inside the interior is very upscale with white table cloths, linen napkins, etc. The service was excellent. The server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, and beverages were always kept topped up. They have a great happy hour until 7:00pm with half price appetizers and discounted alcohol. They have a huge, giant menu with tons of dishes. Many of the entrees can be customized in terms of how hot and spicy you would like them. For starters we tried some samosas and the mixed platter which has some assorted fried goodies. Excellent. The samosas were large and chock full of a very mild potato and vegetable filling. They did not have a heavily fried or greasy taste. On to the entrees. I tried the chicken tikka which is sort of like a seasoned chicken kebob with vegetables. Excellent! A huge portion with mildly seasoned chicken and vegetables. It was served with a small lentil soup which the server suggested could be sort of a sauce. A large platter of rice with peas came with the meal which was also very good. Oh, and we tried some cocktails as well. One lychee-tini and one other which I cannot remember... I have never been a big fan of Indian food given my inability to handle the spice level, so we ordered everything mild and it was AMAZING. It was creamy, super flavorful, and very fresh. The food was a bit expensive but super filling so we did have leftovers for later. I can already tell this is going to be a new staple for us.
