Initial sales associates are wonderful. Then the finance team comes in with a bait and switch on the pricing. Most recent experience we were buying a used car for the marketed price, agreed on a price, and then finance and management said they would no longer sell the car without us agreeing to an increase price of +$10k for low jack options, seat coating/conditioning, vehicle recovery system, etc. For a company that lists "no haggle pricing" in the mission statement, and then their actions clearly show something different, we walked away and would recommend anyone ever in a similar situation to do the same. read more

Showed up on time for an appointment with a sales advisor for a car that I was told was on their lot. At the time of the appointment the service advisor wouldn't come out to greet me so they handed me off to another advisor. We walked around the parking lot looking for a car that was never there. Waste of time/ no test drive. I was then told the car was in Poway at their sister store so when I called the Poway store, I was told it was at the lake Elsinore store when I called the lake Elsinore store, I was told the car was at the Norco location. When I showed up to the Norco location (60 miles away) I was told the car is at the lake Elsinore location. When I show up to the lake Elsinore location, they ghost me in the lobby. Why wouldn't they just send a porter to grab the vehicle for me the first time? Where is the car and do you not want my money? Cash buyer. Are these locations in the business of selling cars? This could've been the easiest sale of the year but you're not even competent enough to show me a car for a test drive. read more

Worst experience I've ever had having my truck serviced at a Ford dealer. If you show up and are unlucky enough to have Jimmy Mareyna be your service advisor you would be wise to ask for someone else to handle your vehicle. TL;DR I was completely ignored for weeks on end by my service advisor, and strung along while no work was being done to my vehicle. Ignored until I threatened to speak to the boss, then ignored for weeks on end again. They had my truck from Nov 6-Jan 3 and I had a total of 4 text responses and 2 phone calls back. I took my truck (full warranty through Mopar) there on the morning on November 6th to have my transmission looked at because it was slipping in 4th gear. I finally picked my truck back up on January 3. As you can see in the screenshots below, we were completely and utterly ignored for almost the entire time they had my truck. 2 days after dropping my truck off, (Friday Nov 8) he got back to me that there were "issues with the transmission, and also issues with misfires, will have more answers on Monday" He never got back to me Monday, or Tuesday, & on Wednesday night I was told he didn't have authorization yet. This is where he stopped replying to me entirely. Days and days would go by of texts, calls, & voicemails and I would hear nothing back. During this time I was driving my wife's car to work, who was at home with my newborn son, which I didn't like doing, but also didn't want to pay for a rental out of my pocket. I explained all this to him when I dropped the vehicle off. After a week of hearing nothing back, I called the front desk and asked to talk to the service manager, his boss, after being put on hold, Jimmy magically came to the phone and didn't really say anything other than tell me he's been trying to call the warranty but they put him on hold for a long time and he can't get through. Mind you this entire time I've thought my truck was being worked on, and to this point IT HADN'T BEEN TOUCHED. Another week went by of not hearing back from Jimmy, so I finally called my warranty to get an update. Warranty told me they hadn't even opened a case with them yet, and if I could conference call the dealer they could get it all taken care of now, I tried to, but once again Jimmy wouldn't answer the phone! Finally fed up, the afternoon of Nov 18, I called the dealer and spoke to someone other than Jimmy, told them what was going on and they told me the service manager would call me right back, and he did. He also tried to feed me BS about the warranty keeping Jimmy on hold and poor Jimmy was trying to hard to get through to them. I couldn't care less, I offered to call the warranty myself at that moment to conference call with them, he told me no, it was ok. With the lack of communication and pathetic customer service, the service manager reluctantly offered to get me in a rental through enterprise that would be 100% paid by them. After another month of no answers, on Dec 18, Jimmy called me back, saying they were waiting for parts and asked if I would return the rental truck, to swap for one of their loaners. I obliged and came and picked up their loaner. 3 weeks later on Jan 2 he called me saying the truck was done but they found other issues, and the truck had a CEL on. It didn't have a CEL when I brought it in... He told me I needed spark plugs, and a new purge valve. I told him I'd do it myself and he told me the truck would run bad until this was done. I drove up the next day to pick my truck up, and Jimmy wasn't even there. I dealt with another service advisor, who I'll leave nameless, who was a very nice guy, listened to the whole story of how I was treated by Jimmy, & he wasn't surprised. It was almost like he knew his coworker is a lazy dirtbag. He felt bad, gave me his card and told me if I needed anything to call him and he'd call me back after the first voicemail. All in all, ford of Escondido lost a customer for life thanks to Jimmy. Since picking my truck up, there is no CEL, 800 miles and the truck runs great. read more

I do not know how this dealership got my phone number, as I do not live in the area and am not looking for a car. For months now, I get multiple calls and texts messages from them daily, and when I respond with "STOP" as instructed, I just receive more texts from a different number. Yesterday I received another call, and I answered it and spoke with someone, explaining that they have the wrong phone number and asking them to remove me from their database. The response was "oh, so you don't want a car?" And then they hung up. The very next morning I received another text and I once again tried to unsubscribe. I then went to their website and tried to text their support line, asking once again to be removed from their system. I got a text message back saying that I had been RE-SUBSCRIBED! I purchased a new f340 drw from Aaron ford escandido the salesman was Adrian that dealt with it went somewhat smooth I had it delivered to my home 4.5 hours away after completing a deal with them on line and over the phone. They were very attentive to make the deal and even sent a video of the truck from a distance and in the shade. But when I received the vehicle it had damage to the front bumper. I contacted the salesman right away and he tried to work with me until I provided a quote from a reputable licensed repair shop to paint it the right way recalibrate the sensors after removing the bumper. 2500.00 I then tried to send them a quote from a touch up paint guy that I was going to settle for a sub par repair for 750.00 and still nothing. Then the salesman asked if I could bring the truck back 4.5 hours one way!!! How about not shipping a new 100 k truck to a client with paint damage to begin with!!!! I have tried texting and calling the sales guy and have been ghosted. I have since tried 5 day in a row to get a manager on the phone and left multiple messages and no one has called me back I've even talked to another sales associate that has apologized for my experience and said he would relay the message to a manager and get somebody to call me right away. Brianna responds to my Yelp review but when Aaron Ford was fumbling around looking for a car, she set up an appointment and told me that I had to be on time and ready to go on a Saturday morning. And then doubled down and repeated herself several times. When the scheduled time on Saturday morning at 9am rolled around, their runner was 20 minutes late because of "traffic". I looked in Apple Maps to see clear roads. Then when the car arrived, it was filthy and full of dents and not anything like the picture they posted. We test drove one and tried to work out a deal. The price they gave after 3 hours of haggling was too high and we left the premises. We started getting calls from several different sales associates, who offered even higher prices on the same vehicle. Crazy! Then they said the original vehicle had sold, but there was another one. They sent me pics with VIN and stock #. It was the same vehicle. They don't know what is on their lot. They change prices after giving a quote in writing. They have so many different people calling and texting who don't have a clue what you had previously spoke about or pricing given. I wasted so much time with these people...and I still don't have a car. OH! I told them wanted to make a cash deal...give me a price and I will bring you a cashier's check. Took the train to Oceanside from Calabasas and had a friend pick me up and drive me to this dealership as I wanted to purchase a Bronco that was listed as having about 9,000 miles. When I arrived I discovered that the car had actually close to 15,000 miles. When I asked how this happened The sales associate stated "human error" and they weren't responsible for what was on their websites listing!!! After haggling over the price for about an hour and a half I discovered that the vehicle had a recall that there was currently no fix for ( a part that could cause an engine fire). This was the most unprofessional dealership I have ever visited and when I asked if I could have a water I was told they had none. I should have gone on yelp before making a 100 mile trip down from the LA area to purchase a vehicle according to terms clearly spelled out via text messages with a dealership representative. I was told that my conditions for purchasing a new 2023 Mustang Mach e GT for 800 a month for 72 months with a trade that has negative equity would be accepted. My down payment was agreed upon and the 2750 in rebates would also be used as part of my down payment. I arrive after driving in 2 hours of traffic to test drive a completely filthy car. I go in to get the paperwork started, they run my credit, then another representative comes to tell me a trade in vehicle was never agreed upon in our terms. I proceed to show my text message conversation that clearly show a trade in vehicle discussion. They proceed to try to "work out" numbers but I already know this is BS. They then try to get me to agree to their new price, which is completely ludicrous. I did not hear any ounce of honest apologies, remorse, or trying to make anything right. I wasted 4 hours of driving, 200 miles on my car, and 45 dollars charging my car. What kind of company does this?! Worst of all, they ran my credit knowing they were not going to honor our terms. Terrible experience. They made us wait for hours as I was trying to purchase a car. They added 3000 dollars worth of "safety equipment" that didn't even exist and couldn't be taken off the final bill. None of these charges were in the sticker price. I had good credit but they gave me a high interest rate and made up a poor excuse as to why. Very crooked and dishonest people. Don't believe them about the 4th of July sale. Had a horrible experience with this dealership. Would never go back. They sold me a car with a damaged tire and they said they would replace it with the same tire the next day (it was written in the contract when I bought the car). It took weeks to get ahold of them but finally when I did they provided me with a completely different tire which isn't allowed on this car because it can damage the differential. (You shouldn't drive a car with 3 of one type of tire and another different one). When I brought this up they basically held me in the dealership for hours and wouldn't help with anything. Their plan was just to keep bouncing me around to different managers hoping I would leave and accept the mismatched tire, I didn't. At one point they offered to buy the car back which I declined. Then the manager Mike Perez said "Well the owners wanted to get rid of that car anyways due to the recall". I guess he was trying to make me feel bad about buying the car? Extremely unprofessional. Never felt more disrespected than when dealing with Mike Perez who did strange manipulative things like pretending he was talking to someone higher up on the phone about this issue, telling me he had the issue resolved (with a fist bump), then disappearing for an hour while I waited in the lobby, then came back to me and started at square one saying he wasn't able to do anything to help with the mismatched tire. I ended up settling for the cost of the tire...fine. But now to make matters worse, it looks like Aaron Ford never submitted my registration to the dmv when I purchased the vehicle, so my temp tags have expired. I've called, emailed, tried everything to no response. They'll reply on my review (like Google) some name and number to reach out to, but l've reached out many times and left messages to no avail. They just want to seem like they're communicative without actually having to do anything. Don't make the same mistake I did...choose another dealer. I guess at this point my last options are below. Not what I want to be doing but I currently can't drive the car 1 bought from them due to no plates because apparently they never sent anything to the DMV when I bought it. Aaron Ford sold me a car at the end of August. The registration was due in November. I never received any paperwork from the DMV. Fast forward to January when my husband points out my registration is past due, I go to pay the registration. I'm told by the DMV that the car can't be registered and even if I pay it off now, I will not receive the title. Why? Because the car was surrendered in another state and Aaron Ford failed to turn in the additional paperwork. I spent a week calling and leaving messages with no call back. I drive up and told that the business office has to deal with it and they are only open Monday-Friday. I called left messages and still after a week, no response. So now I am paying on a car that I can't do anything with and the dealership doesn't know how to return a call to fix their mistake. Very upset and disappointed. Absolutely the worst car buying experience I have ever had! Do not buy a car from them. I purchased a new $70k F150 Lightning from them last week. We did the whole transaction online and I e-signed for it. When I went to pick up the car at my appointment we saw how this dealer really operates. They had never bothered to pick up my car from the other dealer. They gave it to me dirty and uncharged. There was damage to the leather interior and the car is missing the charging equipment that I paid for. After waiting 3 hours for them to correct these issues, we eventually just drove it home as it was. In the last 7 days, I have yet to receive a callback from management or my salesperson. I've called numerous times and either get no answer or a promise to call back later. At this point it looks like my only option is to take the matter up with Ford directly. There are plenty of other Ford dealers to choose from that don't have this level of poor service, go with one of them instead. read more

Kathy, my service advisor, although very polite she was absolutely no help at all in regards to explaining what is going on and exactly why I had to pay 260 dollars just for them to tell me they don't know what the issue is. She also tried searching for my warranty info for all of 2 minutes and with no luck she decided there was no warranty. I had to go all the way back into my notes and find the invoice number they gave me 2 years ago just to be able to track down my warranty. It was only after I pushed her to look it up did she find the warranty but if I hadn't said anything they would have loved to have me pay an extra 7,000 for a new transmission. Totally unacceptable behavior and I will be contacting corporate. I would be shocked if this place stayed in business with how they treat the people who pay their bills. read more

The way I have been treated is outrageous. We are all people doing the best we can, and then I run into Aaron Ford and they make my life hellacious. My company leased a Ford Explorer from Aaron Ford in March 2024. We like the vehicle so much that we want to do an early lease termination and but the SUV. On 7/16/25 we took the car into Aaron Ford where Pedro Alvarez processed the mileage and condition of the vehicle for the early lease termination. We were told that paperwork would arrive overnight so we could pay it off. When the paperwork did not arrive, I called Pedro on 7/18, 7/20, 7/21, 7/22, 7/23, and 7/24 and never received a callback or email. On 7/25 I called Ford Credit and told them what was happening; they said I had to go back to the dealership for the payoff and to escalate the matter to the finance manager. on 7/25 I left a message for the finance Manager Jeff Walsh, and again on 7/28 and on 7/29: once again there were no call backs or emails sent. I called Ford Credit again and they said to contact the commercial sales manager or the general manager, so I did both; on 7/29 I left a message for Hector Yorba and two messages for Executive General Manager Vishal Sharma. No calls or emails have been received. I have leased and purchased over 100 Ford trucks and sedans in my 40 years of business. All I want to do is payoff a lease. Ford Credit is no help, and Aaron Ford couldn't give a care in the world. This has put me off of Ford entirely. Our next truck purchases will be Chevrolet. ***UPDATE*** After leaving this review, I received a response stating they would like to rectify the situation and was given a phone number and email for Vishal Sharma, the General Manager. I called and emailed immediately, and called again twice and left messages. HORRIFIC. I wish I could give ZERO stars. Absolutely zero communication and follow-through. I'm honestly beside myself - I managed the operations of a division of 300 Marines as a 23 year old, and a team of (10?) can't figure out how to communicate with each other or a customer... I sold my car on 1/2/2024 to them for $31k. They had to pay off a balance of $6800. Not only was I told the wrong information on how this process would be done, not a SINGLE person updated me, or called me back. I left SEVERAL voicemails that were never returned, and begged the receptionist to put a live person on the phone just to be sent to voicemail (4 times). I was told that my loan was paid off several times, but it wasn't - which led me to have to call the lender and dealership several times, resulting in no one calling me back. The person who was responsible for sending the check to the bank to pay the balance had the check sitting on his desk for 6 days before sending it out (he admitted this to me). And I found this out after I was told that the check had been sent out 24 hrs after I sold my car to them. He finally overnighted it when I demanded that it be sent immediately. He then told me that it would take 2-3 weeks for the title to get back to the dealership. He gave me the GM's email (Vishal) and so I let him know what was going on. He apologized and told me that he was going to look into the matter immediately and update me that same day. It's been 3 days, and I've heard nothing. It's been 20 days since selling them my car, and I have not been paid for it OR received an update from anyone. ** I found out from the DMV that the title was issued on 1/15. I'm sure that it will take a while before the dealership gets it, but we'll see if they let me know.... I got desperate and called another dealership and spoke to the buyer. He informed me that the timeline of this whole thing seems to be on track, and then he explained in detail the way it all works. IT TOOK ME CALLING ANOTHER DEALERSHIP - whom of which has NO business with me - to get some closure and understanding of what was going on. I literally told Vishal I didn't want to write a bad review, as I'm not a jerk - I would just appreciate some communication and updates as this was a large transaction for me. Yet - nothing. I left a 1 star review below on this dealership. After talking with Vishal the GM he was shocked at what had transpired and took great care of me. After seeing how the rest of the dealership worked I would send my mother to Aaron Ford and feel good about how should would be treated.
